The hotel was currently powered by a generator. When everyone went to bed at night, the generator stopped working at night to avoid disturbing the guests.

Catelyn turned on her phone's flashlight and went downstairs.

It was completely dark outside, but the wind sounded like it had abated a bit.

Catelyn poured herself a glass of water. The water was hot. She went to sit on the couch for a while to wait for the water to cool down.

"Why did you come downstairs in the middle of the night? Isn't Alfred with you?" Cedrick asked sarcastically as he placed the glass of water on the coffee table. His voice was especially significant in the quiet night. Catelyn, who had just eased a bit, was immediately pissed off. She pushed him away with force.

"It's none of your business!" Catelyn then said sarcastically, "I'm not as bored as you, who are sitting in the living room in the middle of the night and scaring people!"

Cedrick's anger dissipated a bit as he watched Catelyn get pissed off.

He slowly walked closer to her...

When he was less than eight inches away from Catelyn, she shouted, "Stop! Don't come near me!" She acted calm. But actually, she was very nervous inside.

Cedrick stopped when he was less than twenty centimeters away from her. He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Are you afraid of me getting close to you? Are you nervous?"

"Not at all!" Catelyn quietly took a deep breath. She felt happy that it was nighttime and that Cedrick couldn't see her nervousness. 'I'm so weak! He provoked me first! Why should I be nervous?'

"Do I need to remind you again that we're not divorced yet? You are cheating on me when you flirt with Alfred."

The flashlight on Catelyn's phone was still on, and it illuminated the faces of both men.

Catelyn finally learned that Cedrick had misunderstood that she had cheated on him with Alfred.

She bit her lower lip, said nothing, and turned around to leave.

Catelyn lost her balance and fell to the side. Cedrick immediately came up and caught her. She fell into his arms. Her head was pressed against his chest and she heard his heartbeat.

"Let go of me." Catelyn looked up at Cedrick when she found herself in his arms. Cedrick held her tighter and smelled her breath. He stroked her belly with his fingers.

Time flew. The baby was about to be born...

Catelyn had gone through it for nine months. Cedrick was grateful.
