Noble Husband At the Door -
Chapter 649
Chapter 649
When Yvonne returned home, He Ting had been driven out of the villa. She only saw Samuel lying on
the sofa, and Lydia, who was pretending to take care o f Samuel.
"Finally, you're back. You have to take good care of him. He drank so much wine in broad daylight. He's
becoming more and more unruly," Lydia said with a look of disgust.
Yvonne smelled the alcohol smell on Samuel's body and asked in confusion, "Why did he drink so
much?"
She had known Samuel for more than three years. Although he occasionally drank wine, he had never
been drunk, let alone drunk like mud.
"You ask me, how would I know? Brought him back to his room. The house was filled with a foul smell,"
Lydia said.
Yvonne struggled to support Samuel alone. Lydia had no intention of helping him, so she just stood by
and watched.
Although He Ting had been driven away, whether this matter would be exposed or not, Lydia was still a
little worried. If the incident at the east window angered Yvonne, Lydia could not think of any solution.
After all, she now had a deep affection for Samuel, and she could clearly feel this.
Back in the room, Yvonne put Samuel on the bed; she didn't look like she was blaming him at all. She
knew that Samuel wouldn't get drunk for no reason. Something must have happened.
But she could not know whether it was good or bad until Samuel woke up.
After a sleepless night, Yvonne silently stayed by Samuel's side. It wasn't until the sky began to
brighten that Samuel opened his eyes in a daze.
It was not a good feeling to have a splitting headache. Samuel frowned and saw Yvonne's red eyes.
She looked gaunt and obviously had not rested.
"What time is it now?" Samuel asked while holding his head.
Yvonne glared at Samuel and said, "You drank yesterday and it was just dawn. Guess when."
Samuel completely forgot the whole process of getting drunk. He didn't even know how he got home.
However, when he saw Yvonne's haggard expression, he guessed that she didn't sleep all night. He
said, " You didn't sleep, did you?"
"I'm afraid that you will be poisoned by alcohol. If you die with me, I will have a shadow in my life. Do I
dare t o get married in the future?" Yvonne said.
Samuel had a wry smile on his face. He knew Yvonne deliberately said this, so he said, "Yesterday, I
met someone very important to me. I accompanied him for two drinks, but I didn't expect that I would
get drunk too much. You'd better take a break."
Yvonne breathed a sigh of relief. "As long as it's not a bad thing, it's fine. My tiredness is nothing."
"I have to go to the company today. Have a good rest at home," Yvonne stood up and said.
Samuel thought Yvonne was going to leave, so he quickly pulled her back. She had not slept the whole
night, so how could she have the energy to go to work today? However, he did not expect Yvonne
would fall directly on the bed.
For Yvonne, it was hard for her to stay up all night. Not only was she mentally exhausted, but she had
also used up all of her energy. That was why he collapsed so easily. 1
"How are you going to go to work in this situation?" Samuel asked.
Yvonne was so tired that she couldn't even be bothered to move. She said, "What should I do if I don't
go to work? There are still so many things to deal with in the company."
"Have a good sleep. I'll keep you company," Samuel said softly.
Yvonne turned her face sideways and dared not look a t Samuel. She said, "Aren't you afraid that I'll
kick you out of bed?" "We still have a bet, don't we?" Samuel bit the bullet and said. He was not sure
how Yvonne would react if h e said it at this time. But since it was a bet, it was a matter of course to
bring it up.
Without saying a word, Yvonne took off her shoes and lay down on the bed.
Although she did not speak, her actions had obviously expressed her meaning.
Samuel was so excited that he lay on his side and gently held Yvonne in his arms.
The two people who were nervous trembled slightly. After all, this was the first time they were so close
to each other. For them, it was a breakthrough.
In a state of physical exhaustion, Yvonne quickly fell asleep.
However, Samuel could not bear to close his eyes and enjoy this feeling quietly. He recalled the
bitterness and sourness of the past three years. At this moment, he felt that everything was worth it.
The insults and the whites eyes were nothing at all.
