- I think Malu is right, and she usually isn't right. Alexander said, I looked at him annoyed. - Malu is never right about anything, then? Igor smiled at me, teasingly. I rolled my eyes. - Not in food matters. Cecilia said, getting closer. Alexander by his side.
"Malu doesn't talk much about her. Don't you have interesting stories of hers to tell me?
- Don't come, Igor. And you don't even dare start. You're not going to have fun at my expense. -Protested. It was useless, they engaged in a conversation about my childhood and Ceci's. Which I didn't remember very well. They started talking about how much of a tomboy I was and how the boys are afraid of me. Alexander ended up joining the conversation as well, and before I could see them they were telling their stories. That helped a bit, as Igor started remembering a few things.
He ended up telling us that he started surfing when he was 12 years old. And I've been doing that since today. He remembered some details on his own, such as his board. It made him euphoric. Whether I liked Ceci around or not, she had helped. She had reminded Igor of several things. And I could see why they started dating quickly. They got along really well. Igor seemed delighted, almost as much as Alexander, who looked at Cecilia with admiration.
I tried to convince myself that I wasn't jealous of that situation. With me I was forgotten, because someone more beautiful and interesting was in the environment. I ended up standing at the window, watching the movement of the street. In front was a small square, with children running around and a couple. I wish my life was just a little bit simpler.
"Malu?" Igor called me, and I turned to him. His expression was worried. -Are you okay? She's too quiet for a chatterbox.
"I'm great. But I think I'm on my way. - I murmured, wanting to leave the room. - I'm going to have lunch.
"But in a little while, Pablo will arrive.
-I know. I'll be back in time.
"We have lunch at my house. I forgot how to cook, but I don't think you do, right?
"You can't forget what you don't know. Remember that. He laughed lightly at my ready-made joke. "They'll keep you company. -Reinforced.
"It's not the same. He pouted and I rolled my eyes, defeated.
- Are you really depriving me of a healthy meal?
- Do you consider Mc Donalds healthy?
"How do you think I keep this little body?" - I said ironically, making Alexandre laugh. He was my biggest companion at Mc Donalds, he was almost as passionate about the snacks there as I was.
"To be honest, you don't seem to eat McDonald's. He gave me his shameless smile, sizing me out shamelessly. I rolled my eyes, trying to pretend it didn't affect me.
"You're on your deathbed, stop being teased. He laughed lightly, and Ceci caught his attention. Speaking now of eating habits. Igor had a diet almost as bad as mine. Which allowed me to make guesses about whether the beef burger is better than the chicken one. A very instructive subject, by the way, which gave Igor and me enough room to make unfunny jokes for a long time. Until it was time for Cecilia and Igor to end up bringing up the subject of 'dating'.
Cecilia was even nice. When he realized that Igor didn't know about our involvement... amorous-catastrophic. He basically told the truth, that he had broken up with her, because they were very incompatible and they were both liking other people. She of Alexander and he... She didn't make a big deal out of it, and in fact she always thought it was an excuse. That the girl probably wouldn't even exist. A nice pinprick for me, of course. But that even after the breakup they now lived without heartaches, although now was the first time they had seen each other after the abrupt breakup.
When Igor started wanting to know who he was in love with and if I knew who he was. I wanted to run away. I should say: It was for me, silly... But I didn't want to ruin what was already good. So, I said to let it go. Saying that maybe it was just an excuse to kick Cecilia for good. I saw that he held back his laughter with my carefree tone. And I thought Cecilia would get up and try to hit me.
After insisting a lot even on the subject. He accepted it gladly, seeing that it bothered me. And he went back to talking about other things with Cecilia. He was very understanding and that worried me. He must have hit his head very, very, very hard. Or I was saving these questions for when I had no way out. And I was afraid of when that time would come. (...)
We were finally going to Igor's apartment, which I had never seen. I was almost as anxious as he was, I would say even more so. He was relaxed, laughing at something Pablo was telling me and trying to get me interested in the subject. Which was super hard.
Igor was still haggard, with big dark circles under his eyes. And a large bandage on the arm, it was... strong. But through it all, he looked healthy. The three of us were in the back seat of the taxi, and suddenly Igor looked at me. His eyebrows were knitted together, and he seemed concentrated.
"What's wrong?"
-Nothing. He stopped looking at me, fixing his eyes on Pablo. - Is my apartment too messy?
-Yes. Pablo said promptly, Igor fidgeted uncomfortably on the bench.
"Didn't you fix it?"
"Do I look like a maid, man?"
"Okay, then... Are we taking a girl, that's right, an extremely critical girl, to a messy apartment? - he asked, ironic.
-Cute.
"It's true, I never did. He turned to Pablo. "Or have I already taken it?"
"Malu is the first.
"What an honor, or bad luck. I murmured weakly.
-Got. Pablo announced, already getting out of the car. I then left in a hurry. Igor behind me, stopped next to me. It was a simple building, well located. In the center of the city. It wasn't as big as the others around it, but it had its charm. It looked old and old, but it had an interesting antique feel to it. Some windows had balconies, those old ones. I thought it was super cool. The building that had once been white was obvious, but now it was gray, dirty. -Liked. Igor muttered.
"How lucky, huh?" Enjoying the place where you yourself have chosen to live.
"Shiu, you boring. He ran his hand through my hair as he walked again. I followed him. Pablo said something to the landlord, who greeted Igor. I looked at the lobby, which was small and simple, but it was much more modern than the building's façade. Igor watched everything and made his way to the elevator.
"Broken, champz. Pablo muttered, laughing at Igor's face.
"Are you kidding?"
"I live on the third floor and you live on the seventh.
-Seriously. I whimpered to Igor.
Igor held my hand as he walked up the stairs, he seemed used to doing that. Well, technically he was. And what's more, unlike me, he wasn't sedentary at all. He possessed an athletic body. So, surely, it wasn't hard for him, with those shapely legs, thick and firm thighs, that you could see the perfect outline of the muscles in the jeans, to climb a few measly steps. I found myself flushing with my face as I watched the way he squeezed my wrist tightly. He had a wide view of his back, defined and muscular. He had a large musculature, unlike Pablo, who was thinner, but taller as well. He was strong... And it looked so full of energy!
