Chapter 1794 Respect!

What had Athena do return to Girard City? Elijah knew it.

It wasn't hard to guess where the kitten came from when she returned from caring for Gideon's business and bringing back a kitten.

Sally dropped her head.

Sally was sitting next to Elijah. "I've wanted a kitten of my own since I was a kid, but Dad's wife was terrified of long-haired animals. Then, when I grew up, I was on my own, so I didn't want to have the kittens live a bad life with me, so I fed stray cats and made donations when I had nothing else to do. Two years ago, when I thought I would settle down with Gideon, I clamored for kittens..."

Sally said.

Realizing something was wrong, and she looked up slack-eyed and blankly and asked, "Why wouldn't I get one if he said wouldn't?"

"Because you respect him." Elijah looked like a relieved flower. "Just like you respect me when you love kittens so much right now, and you don't take them back right away but come and talk to me about it." Sally seemed like, instantly, calm and soothing mountain spring water poured over her head, and all those bewildering boredom in her heart disappeared into thin air.

"Is that so?"

It wasn't because of currying favor, nor was it because of low self-esteem.

It was because of respect!

"Of course." Elijah stroked her head, his eyes half-lowered, blocking out the heartache for Sally underneath. "So, you've been thinking all morning, and you've come up with something to convince me?" Sally immediately sat up straight.

Taking the same logic that she said to Athena, she said it to Elijah.

Elijah listened and immediately smiled.

"It's like this, yeah, Gideon doesn't like cats at all and he hates kittens for losing their hair, he hates kittens for pooping, but kittens are just going to lose their hair, and people poop too! He went for the kitten because of me, so the kitten's destiny would have been me!"

Elijah was still laughing.

Sally pounced on him and pinched his cheeks, "No laughing! Let me keep it or not! Say it!!!"

Elijah caught Sally's hands and smiled. "Yes, he left his mommy at such a young age and moved around so many times before he found you, so how can we not keep him?" Sally's eyes shone brightly.

With Elijah saying that she realized she liked the fat cat even more!

"Is that so?" She asked.

Elijah nodded.

"No wonder it curses when it sees me!" Sally leaped and hugged Elijah, saying, "Elijah, you're so good!"

Elijah's big hand gently smoothed Sally's slim back, "I'll go with you to fetch it over here. It's not good for it to keep robbing the Herbert's nest."

"OK!"

Sally nodded vigorously.

Then she got up again and cupped Elijah's face in a frenzy of unruly kisses.

She was wearing lipstick.

Elijah's face was white, and she kissed his face full of lipstick.

Then she smiled again and wiped him clean with a makeup remover pad.

After it was wiped off.

There were more kisses, but it was just on the lips this time.

Elijah goes from sitting still to being kissed until his eyes are mesmerized, and his cheeks are flushed.

If it weren't for the bright daylight at this moment.

Picking up the kittens would have to be slowed down.

Elijah calmed his breathing and buried his head between Sally's neck. "I've decided."

"Um?"

"Put up the kitten afterward." Elijah's voice rang in Sally's ears with a compelling smile.

Sally almost fell over laughing.

It took a few moments.

Sally and Elijah went to pick up the little cat.

When they arrived there.

The kitty was eating the meal again.

Opening the mouth wide, it ate a quarter of the food in one sound bite.

And then.

Sally grabs it by the back of its neck.

Kitten. "??"
