Chapter 1587 Waiting in Place

"You're getting married, too?" Athena was shocked.

Byron, sitting next to her, was pretending to listen to gossip intently and wore a surprising expression.

"Too? Who else is getting married?" Gideon asked with a smile.

Athena didn't answer and then asked, "Who are you marrying? Is it someone your mother introduced to you?"

"Of course not. Who else could it be? It's Sally," Gideon was in a very good mood. "Byron's words dawned on me." Athena was speechless.

"You may have dawned, but you've lost her!" She thought.

"Hello?"

Not hearing any sound from the phone, Gideon thought the signal was bad.

"I'm listening. I'll find out for you," Athena paused. "Gideon, does Sally know you're planning to marry her?"

Gideon sighed, "She's still mad at me. I couldn't reach her by phone, and she blocked me on WhatsApp. How would she know?"

Athena was truly speechless.

"Gideon, you didn't even ask if she wanted to get married. You acted as if it were a done deal. She's upset. Don't you think you should go find her? Don't you think you should apologize?"

Gideon was Aiden and Mia's lifesaver.

Athena also hoped he would have a good outcome.

"Why are you being so harsh?" Gideon was a bit confused. "You probably don't understand. That's how we've always been. Once the anger subsides, everything will be fine."

"But what if this time her anger doesn't subside?" Athena asked.

"Why are you speaking so strangely? Has she been talking to you?" Gideon finally became wary.

"Gideon, no one will wait for you in the same place forever," Athena said in a deep voice. "Don't take it for granted. Sally is already an insecure person. She needs to be chosen firmly, loved firmly, and not someone who always stands above her, waiting for her to calm down and come back on her own."

"Did she tell you all this?" Gideon asked.

Athena sighed, "She's never been the kind of person to say these things. Gideon, I have just met her only a few times, and I can see the emptiness in her. As her lover, how could you not notice anything?" Athena suddenly thought of a sentence.

He loved her but didn't know the way to her soul.

"What's wrong after all?" Gideon started to panic.

Athena would not interfere and judge others' feelings.

"Gideon, if you want to know about her recent situation, it's simple. Find out for yourself. I have a date with Byron, so I'm hanging up."

Before Gideon could say anything, Athena hung up the phone.

"Don't be angry," Byron squeezed her hand.

"I'm not angry," Athena shook her head. "When I first met Sally, her family had actually arranged a marriage for her. Although it wasn't wealthy and influential, I roughly checked, and it was quite a decent family. But Sally refused without hesitation, which caused a falling out with her family. She didn't say it, but anyone knows she rejected it because of Gideon."
