Only once he had completely forgotten about Yesseca could he move on.

And the only way to remove Yesseca from Tremaine's heart was to introduce him to another woman.

Madam Quartley had thought of discussing this with Yuliana, but after thinking about it, she realized that wouldn't be appropriate. Madam Quartley then decided to talk about this with Hogan. She told Hogan to find a new woman for Tremaine.

Hgoan said, "I'm afraid that the president has very deep feelings for Yesseca. It would be very difficult to do this right now."

Madam Quartley should be aware of this.

She replied, "I understand what you mean Hogan. However there isn't any other way right now. Please find a suitable woman for Tremaine, one that would move his heart."

Hogan thought about this and said, "I will need to put pressure on him. I can tell him that Nashaland needs a first lady. A woman who can help him with our country's political affairs. That might convince the president." "After all, when it comes to his personal feelings, no one can replace Yesseca."

Madam Quartiry agreed to Hogan's suggestion. "Very well then. It looks like I will have to trouble you with this. Go and see if you can find such a woman, Mr. Welmert."

Soon, three whole days had passed.

Hogan had found the perfect woman for the job.

The woman's name was Rorita.

She was the daughter of a high-ranking official in Nashaland and had just returned from studying abroad.

Hogan had already come up with a few reasons to introduce her to Tremaine.

Firstly, Nashaland needed a first lady. Tremaine couldn't remain single forever.

Secondly, even though Tremaine had a very solid footing by himself, he was lacking the support of a family. Marrying Rorita would provide him the safety and foundation of one of the largest families in Nashaland. Additionally, Tremaine could then work on guaranteeing his successor by producing an heir.

That night, Hogan arrived at the Quartley Palace.

He and Madam Quartley were going to convince Tremaine that night.

Madam Quartley had expected Tremaine to put up a fuss and was prepared for a long and drawn out conversation. Instead she was pleasantly surprised when Tremaine simply said, "Okay." Both Hogan and Madam Quartley were stunned.

"That was easy."

Madam Quartley thought she had heard wrong and asked Tremaine, "Tremaine, are you really agreeing to our suggestion?"

"Yes." Tremaine replied and didn't say anything else. He stood up and left the room. Madam Quartley and Hogan looked at each other.

"Mr. Welmert. Tremaine... Tremaine has agreed to it. Just like that. I thought it would take us anywhere from half a month to a year to convince him!"

Hogan felt the same way.

Everything had gone much too smoothly.

It was going so smoothly, they couldn't believe it.

Hogan stroked his white beard and said, "I suppose the president has realized the reality of his situation after wallowing in depression for some time." Madam Quartley was overjoyed to hear this.

She then said, "That would be the best thing to happen for him."

Tremaine went back to his bedroom.

A large painting hung at the head of his bed.

It was a portrait of him and Yesseca.

Yesseca was in a wedding dress, she was in his embrace.

Tremaine looked at it for a very long time, then reached out his hand.

He carefully stroked the portrait and then brought his hand onto Yesseca's face.

He adored Yesseca's eyes and eyebrows.

She looked beautiful.

Her eyes were like the stars. They were beautiful, sparkling and warm.

After some time, Tremaine moved his hand away and said, "Yesseca, I won't go looking for you ever again."

"Because I know, deep inside, you will never forgive. You can't forgive me."

"I'll let you go. I'm going to let you go and give you the peace you deserve."

Hogan acted quickly.

He had already arranged for Tremaine and Rorita to meet tomorrow.

They would meet in a cafe.

Tremaine arrived at seven o'clock in the evening.

Rorita was already waiting for him.

She was dressed in a white shirt and jeans. She looked refreshingly simple.

Hogan had specially asked her to dress this way.

It would be impossible for Tremaine to fall in love with her at first sight, so he ad to make sure that he

didn't dislike her on their first meeting.

So, knowing Tremaine's preferences, he had asked Rorita to dress accordingly.

Hogan, of course, figured out what those preferences were based on his own observations of Yesseca.

Yesseca had always dressed herself in simple, elegant and refreshing clothing.

As Tremaine sat down, Rorita looked at him and then quickly looked down.

Her fair white cheeks blushed pink as she said, "Mr... Mr.President."

Tremaine didn't even look at Rorita as he said, "Do you know what you are doing here?" Rorita was quiet.

She hadn't expected Tremaine to

ask her this. She stammered for moment, then managed to say "Mr. President, we... we... are here..."

Rorita couldn't finish her sentence.

She was shy and didn't know what to say.

Tremaine then told her, "I need a wife and Nashaland needs a first lady. Hogan believes you are a good candidate."

Rorita was quiet.

She hadn't expected Tremaine to be so straightforward about this.

She was extremely embarrassed.

"Mr. Tremaine..." Rorita said meekly.

Tremaine then said, "One week. If you think you're up for it, then it's settled. Think about this, then get back to me in a week."

Rorita's heart thumped wildly as she heard this.

The president is giving her a week to think about it?

So, this means that the president already fancies her and all she needed to do was to agree to it?

Rorita was overjoyed.

But then, the smile on her face froze.

"There are some other things I have to tell you about."

"I already have a woman in my heart. This woman will forever remain there until the day I die."

"So, even if you become my wife, nothing is going to change. I will never love you and I will never touch you."

"You are still young, so you can take

this opportunity if you want to. You can become the first lady of the country, but remain alone and

unloved. I won't care either way, so think about it." en FindNovel

Rorita's face stiffened.

She could look away from Tremaine.

Under the dim light, he looked so handsome, but indifferent.

He looked at her with dead eyes, like a robot.

This made her very uncomfortable.

When she arrived here, she was feeling very excited. But she never expected Tremaine to be like this.

Rorita then asked, "But Mr. Tremaine, if you're already in love with a woman, why aren't you with her?" After asking him this, she noticed his cold eyes trembling.
