My Coldhearted Ex demands a Remarriage -
Chapter 96
Episode 96
Camille mused to herself that he might be a devoted husband, patiently waiting as his wife shopped, admiring his quiet sophistication.
Moments later, the fitting room door swung open, and Elizabeth stepped out, transformed.
Camille’s jaw dropped as she approached her friend.
“Wow! You look absolutely stunning!”
Before Elizabeth could respond, a sweet voice chimed in.
“Well, Elijah, what do you think of this?”
Simultaneously, Sandra stepped out of another fitting room, wearing an identical dress.
Behind the nearby partition, a figure stood—it was Elijah.
Seriously? The cocktails at Oasis Club must have been way stronger than I thought to have imagined Elijah as some doting husband waiting for his wife.
Elijah turned toward the commotion, his eyes locking on Elizabeth.
The dress hugged her figure, highlighting her graceful silhouette.
The daring cutouts framed her delicate waist, while the hem of the dress brushed high on her legs, showcasing their sculpted elegance.
But a vivid red scar stood out against her otherwise flawless skin.
Elijah’s thoughts briefly wandered to his grandmother’s renowned ointment, recalling how it had almost entirely healed his cousin’s deep injury from a sculpting mishap in mere weeks.
Yet, despite the passage of time, Elizabeth’s scar remained stark—a testament to the depth of her wound.
Elizabeth noticed Elijah’s gaze and instinctively stepped aside, using a nearby chair to obscure her leg.
Her scar always stirred an uneasy self-consciousness, especially around him.
It amplified her insecurities, making her feel lesser.
More than anything, she wished to vanish from his sight, fearing his judgment of her imperfections, past and present.
As Elijah began to approach her, Sandra tugged at his sleeve, her voice sugar-sweet.
“Elijah.”
He glanced at her with mild curiosity.
“Yes?”
Sandra twirled playfully, her eyes sparkling.
“How do I look in this?”
Though shorter than Elizabeth, Sandra’s dress skimmed her knees and clung lightly to her slender frame.
It conveyed innocence rather than allure.
“You look great,” Elijah replied with polite detachment.
Sandra’s face lit up, her smile brimming with satisfaction.
She sauntered over to Elizabeth, her tone light but edged with provocation.
“Ms.
Elizabeth, what a surprise running into you here! I spilled coffee earlier, and Elijah insisted on bringing me here to find something new.
Hope you don’t mind!”
