Carter POV

Four years later, I finally met her. Nora is my best friend and my mate.

I was so shocked to see her in this town. After that night, I never saw her around the pack house or any nearby town. She just left without saying anything. Maybe because what I said and done was to make her feel ashamed to stay in the pack. Maybe that’s why she leaves me alone. Like I want her to do. But I didn’t want her to leave the pack.

It’s not that I hate her… No… Never. I just want her to stay away from me as much as possible.

How can I hate the person who is my childhood best friend? Leo and Nora were my pup friends. We always stay together, play together. I can’t imagine myself hating her. I had reason to make her leave me.

I love Miya and I want her to be my Luna. I was so confident that Miya would be my mate and she would be my Luna one day. When I became Alpha.

But all things were ruined when I found out that Nora is my Mate. That time I got so panicked and scared to lose Miya. So I will try to stay away from her in the future.

But that day was a full Moon. When she entered the coffee house that evening, her strong scents hit my nose. I was trying to control my wolf. But what made it worse is that she was in heat. And her heat scent was so strong that I couldn’t stop myself from touching her. My wolf becomes stronger as he smells her heat scent. When we kissed and she touched my cheeks calling me her sweet voice I lost my battle with my wolf.

He takes their in charge and takes her to a motel to complete the mating and marking process with her. At that time I was weak and powerless, but still, I can feel everything that happens between us. And she feels so good under me.

When my wolf gives me control back it’s too late. Because of my selfish wolf, Nora got marked by me. But it made me so angry that she wouldn’t stop me. She knows I love Miya. Everyone knows that I was planning to make her my Luna.

But still, she didn’t stop me. I know I’m a strong wolf and a future alpha too. And she can’t match my power, but still, why didn’t she just try to stop me?

So how can I accept her?

Because of my anger, I said so many harsh words to her and left her there. I broke our mate’s bounds. I rejected her. When I reject her, my wolf gets angry at me. He shut himself inside.

After my anger calms down I feel so guilty knowing what I did to Nora.

I try my best to search for her everywhere. But to my bad, I didn’t see her after that night. That incident made my wolf angrier and cold toward me. He blamed me for losing his mate. He does not agree with my rejection in the first place. He cut himself from me, he never talks to me or responds to my words, I feel I lost my wolf’s trust in her.

As a punishment for my mistake, he asks me to find another Mate or Nora. Because he is getting weak without his Mate. I know how painful it is to lose Mate. I know it’s all my fault that I made her leave us. keeping Miya with me, makes me lose my Mate and my friend Leo too.

But now. Today, we finally met her again. She smells like a fresh flower. The smell I love the most in my life. Her smell still affected me. It makes me calm down. First I thought I had got a second mate. But I find that my second Mate is my First Mate.

After seeing her for the first time, my wolf got out of control. He is almost going to mark her again. Same as he did that night. When we found her as my Mate. He didn’t ask me about that. But this time I pulled him back from her.

He misbehaved with Miya. I want to scold him for that, but I can understand his desperation behind finding his mate.

After a long time, he finally found her. So I just let go of his misbehavior.

But what makes me shocked and angry is that she is not alone. My best friend, Leo, is with her and he calls her his ‘wife’.

‘wife? ‘ Those words make a hole in my heart. The pain was worse than stitches on my chest. Why did she marry my best friend Leo? Why?

My wolf wanted to tear apart Leo’s throat. I could hardly stop him from doing that, or Leo would not be able to take Nora out of the room.

Leo is my best friend. We were together when we were just a pup. Whenever I am angry or feel sad, he is always with me. I tell him everything that happened to me and he does the same. I make a mess and he cleans my mess. I feel so proud of myself to have a friend like him.

But when I met him after leaving Nora at that motel, I told him what happened between me and Nora. I thought he would support me in this matter like he always does. But no… He got angry and fought with me. He took her side. He keeps telling me that I did wrong to Nora. But I didn’t hear him. So he left me and went to find Nora. He was so angry at me at that time.

I thought after some time passed he would come to return to me. He always does that. But I never thought that he was so angry at me. Because after that fight, he left the pack as Nora did. He left me all alone here.

I met his father and asked about him. He just told me that he was going abroad for future studies. I was so relieved. He was not angry at me. He just wants some time for himself. Just like me, he was the second person in Nora’s life.

I thought after some time he would come back to his pack. But four years passed. I was waiting for him to come back. But his intention never comes back. I was waiting for him like a crazy person.

But it turned out he was with Nora the whole time. For the past four years, he has been with Nora. And he is not just staying with her, he is married to her… They are married? Why?

“Why Leo? Why did you marry her?” I murmured and sighed sadly.

‘I want my Mate back! ‘ My wolf growled in frustration.

‘ She is married now, dude.’ I sighed in my head.

‘ I don’t care! She is my mate and I want her back with me. If you can’t make her come to us… Then I’ll leave you and never come back to you… Because you are breaking your promise.’ He growled in anger.

‘ I’m not breaking my promise… Just give me some time to think about this. ‘ I tried to calm him down.

” I won’t wait too long… It’s already been four years have already passed. I miss her scents, I miss her touch… Damn, she still looks so f**king sexy in that doctor’s clothes…’ He said desperately. Like he usually does when he thinks about Nora.

” I know that… Four years passed. And I know how she looks. But you wait some more. More until I heal my body. Ok, trust me.” I want him to leave everything to me. I will find a chance to know what to do about Nora.

“This is the last time I’m trusting you. Don’t break my trust this time.’ After he said this he closed his mind. I also closed my eyes for rest.

‘Why? Why does all this happen?’ My wolf is shouting in my mind.

He was so angry at that time that I almost lost control of him.

‘ Will you please calm down?’ I tried to calm him down.

‘How can I calm down? After hearing that your brother is our Mate’s husband! He snatched our Mate from us!’ My wolf was on edge to come out.

‘He didn’t snatch her from us! He never knew that our second Mate was his wife. ‘ I was trying to keep him calm.

Alpha Carter got a high temper sometimes. He and his wolf don’t like other women to touch him in any way. He gets angry as soon as he sees women try to get close to him.

“Jax…” Carter’s voice brings him back to reality.

“Yes Alpha..?” Jax asked.

“Find out where she lives?” Carter ordered him in a low painful tone.

“Who?” Jax looked at him with confused eyes.

“Nora Morris… Find out where she is living. I want all the details about her. As I know Leo is your brother, so it’s easy for you to find out everything about him.” Carter said seriously.

“But Alpha, why do you want their address?” I asked in a worried tone.

I want to know why he wants to know about Leo and my mate? What if he wants to punish her or my brother? For being disrespectful to him?

“I have personal work with them. I want to meet them personally. You will know everything when we meet them again…” He coughs lightly.

‘Ok. Alpha… But you need to rest first… You were deeply wounded. especially the wound on your chest that is very close to your heart. You have to be careful about your wand. We thought we lost you. But thanks to Dr. Morris. She saves your life in time. She is a good surgeon…” I feel happy to talk about her.
