Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 92 Don't Worry, I Won't Embarrass You

Seeing Elisa's resentment, Galatea was bitterly disappointed and asked, "What's wrong? Aren't you happy to sleep with Mommy?"

"I am happy, but on such a rare occasion tonight, we have to watch the stars together, which is a romantic thing that a couple does. It feels like a waste for just the two of us, mother and daughter..." Galatea found her words both funny and annoying. These two children really wanted to send her to Alaric immediately. What heartless little rascals!

"Well... it's the wrong person to watch the stars with. I feel like the stars aren't as beautiful anymore. Mommy, you can keep watching. I'm going to sleep." Elisa yawned and then crawled into bed, falling asleep immediately. Galatea shook her head helplessly and lay down, looking up at the beautiful starry sky. Tonight's stars were truly beautiful.

As she looked at the stars, Alaric's words came to her mind. The woman he wanted?

Upon careful consideration, Alaric had the capital to be proud of in terms of his background and personal abilities. Although he had a bad temper, to be fair, he had been patient with her. Thinking about this, Galatea felt her heart in turmoil once again. Was she overthinking things?

Should she completely move on from the past? Should she start a new life?

Thinking about these things made it even harder for her to fall asleep. She spent the entire night lost in thought...

Because Elisa went to bed early, she woke up early the next day. The two of them quickly packed up and left the room.

"Good morning, Mrs. Knight. Breakfast is ready. Please follow me this way," the waiter said respectfully and showed them the way.

"Mommy, Elisa!" When they arrived at the restaurant, Caspian immediately called out to the two of them. It was a private dining room with a great ambiance.

Galatea looked up and saw Alaric sitting at the table. This man always seemed to be in a good mood, but she didn't look her best because she had not slept the entire night.

"Good morning," Galatea sat down across from Alaric and politely greeted him.

"Good morning," Alaric responded. Then he asked, "Did you sleep well last night?"

"Not really," Elisa said, "When I went to bed last night, Mommy was still awake. And this morning, she was lying there with her clothes still on, eyes wide open. I guess she didn't sleep the whole night."

"You naughty girl, why are you making up stories?" Galatea immediately felt guilty.

"I'm not making up stories. It's a logical deduction," Elisa continued to argue, "Just by looking at your dark circles now, I know you didn't sleep last night. You two are about to get married. Why are you so shy? If you two slept together, you'd definitely sleep well, but you don't want to..."

"Atlas Storm, if you continue talking, I'll be really mad!" It was the first time Galatea scolded Elisa using her full name. Elisa immediately covered her mouth with her hand and stopped talking.

Galatea unintentionally glanced at Alaric and caught a mischievous smile on his face. She quickly lowered her head, feeling embarrassed.

"Daddy, this place is so nice. Can we stay here for a few more days?" Caspian tried to mediate.

"Yeah, Daddy, we don't start school until the day after tomorrow so that we can play here for two more days," Elisa quickly chimed in.

Alaric smiled apologetically and said, "I'm really sorry, Harry and Elisa, but Daddy has some work to do at the company today. We have to go back."

Tomorrow night is the opening banquet, and there are still many things to take care of today.

"But it's okay. There will be many more opportunities like this in the future. I can take you out to play on weekends or holidays."

"Yay, hooray for daddy!" Elisa immediately cheered.

Meanwhile, Galatea kept her head down throughout the meal, too embarrassed to look up or say anything.

After finishing breakfast, they planned to leave. Alaric drove, Galatea sat in the passenger seat, and the two children sat in the back.

Galatea felt extremely embarrassed as she avoided eye contact with him because her panda eyes completely gave her away. After the car started, Galatea kept looking out the window.

Alaric turned on the car stereo, and Taylor Swift's "Enchanted" slowly played. The melody was soft, with a lingering rhythm, like a cup of coffee lingering in the ears.

"Hey, it was enchanting to meet you."

"All I know is I was enchanted to meet you."

All Galatea knew was that she was enchanted to meet him. Listening to this song gave her a different feeling. She didn't know if Alaric really liked her, but he definitely wanted to conquer her and marry her. "Galatea."

"Huh?" While Galatea was lost in her thoughts, Alaric called her name. Galatea quickly snapped back to reality and looked at him, asking, "What?"

"There will be many nobles at the banquet tomorrow, and this will be your first public appearance as my fiancee. I hope you won't look like you do now."

As he said this, Galatea instinctively touched her face. Did she look particularly ugly right now with dark circles under her eyes?

"I understand. Don't worry, I won't embarrass you."

"I hope so," Alaric said.

Throughout the journey, Alaric focused on driving while the two children fell asleep in the car after a while. There was no communication between the two of them, and Galatea continued to look out the window. It felt like a long time before they arrived at her house. Before Galatea got out of the car, Alaric reminded her, "Get some rest early tonight. I'll come pick you up tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay," Galatea replied.

"Harry, Elisa, go home with Mommy. Daddy has to go to work."

"Okay, Daddy, take care of yourself," Elisa kindly reminded.

Galatea took the two children home, and as soon as she entered the house, Mia came over and told her, "Stellan, there are guests at home. They have been waiting for you for a long time." Guests? Who could they be? And why so early?

When Galatea saw Griffon getting up from the sofa and walking towards her, she was truly startled. And behind her, Caspian, who hadn't even entered the house yet, was even more shocked. How did his grandfather-in-law come here?

"Elisa, I'll take you to the children's playground downstairs," Caspian quickly grabbed Elisa and rushed into the elevator. Fortunately, he acted fast and wasn't noticed by Griffon. "Griffon?" Seeing him, Galatea felt scared.

"Sorry to bother you so early in the morning," Griffon said politely.

"Never mind," Galatea replied, adding, "If Griffon could give me a call in advance, you wouldn't have had to wait for me for such a long time."

"It's my negligence. I didn't expect you wouldn't be home so early in the morning."

The implied meaning was already clear. Did Griffon also know that she was with Alaric last night?
