Mommy,We Got a Husband
Chapter 399 Could Something Be Wrong with Alaric's Treatment?

That night, they crashed in each other's arms like always. Next morning, Stellan was up at the crack of dawn, whipping up breakfast for Alaric. "Why are you up so early again?" Alaric asked, rubbing his eyes as he stumbled downstairs. "We got a housekeeper for this stuff."

Stellan grinned, "You always made breakfast for me when you were home. Now that I got some free time, I wanna spoil you. Now, come on, dig in."

"Alright, alright." Alaric headed to the bathroom to freshen up, then plopped down at the dining table.

"Rowena shouldn't be too swamped lately. You two should catch a movie or hit the mall, chill out a bit," Alaric suggested.

"Rowena hit me up early this morning, wants me to help her scout locations for her studio. She's planning to open a music school and agency. Girl's got big dreams," Stellan said.

"You can do it too," Alaric encouraged. "Your Reassuring Clinic's got a manager, so you're free. Haven't you always wanted to build your own hospital? Go for it. While you're out with Rowena, keep an eye out for some land you like. If you find something, just snag it."

"Alaric, you're loaded, just casually talking about buying land," Stellan chuckled.

"Hey, it's your dream. As your hubby, I wanna help you make it happen." Alaric suddenly remembered something. "Come with me."

Stellan, curious, followed him to the study on the third floor.

Alaric opened the safe. "I keep forgetting to tell you, all the fixed assets are here, and you know the bank account numbers and passwords. You're my wife, everything I have is yours. Use it however you want. If you find a piece of land you like, just buy it, no need to ask me."

Stellan felt a warm glow inside.

"Here, it's all yours." Alaric handed her the key to the safe. "Alright, let's eat. After breakfast, I gotta head to the office, and Rowena should be here soon to pick you up."

"Okay." Stellan carefully tucked away the key and went downstairs with Alaric to eat.

"Don't work yourself out," Stellan said, fixing his tie before he left.

Alaric nodded. "Don't worry."

Stellan added, "One more thing, I'm not busy now, so no need for the kids to stay at school. I can pick them up and drop them off daily."

Alaric nodded. "I was thinking the same thing. I miss them after just two days. Let's pick them up tonight and cook something special."

"Alright." After fixing his tie and helping him with his suit, Stellan watched him get into the car.

After he left, Stellan smiled softly. This was what being a loving couple was all about. Even though it felt a bit wrong to think this way since Marigold had just passed, now that she was gone, the roadblocks were gone too. Life could only get better from here, right?

With that thought, Stellan felt a surge of happiness. Soon, Rowena arrived to pick her up.

"You seem pretty chipper today," Rowena noticed as soon as Stellan hopped in the car.

"Yeah, I am," Stellan replied, eyes sparkling.

"Told ya, no grudges between couples. You two must've patched things up. Congrats," Rowena said with a grin.

"Aren't you living the dream too? Got your wedding planned yet?" Stellan asked.

Rowena shook her head. "Not yet, waiting on you."

"Don't wait on me. Marigold was my mother-in-law, and she just passed. It's not cool to have a wedding within a year. You guys should go first," Stellan said. Rowena's face lit up. Ten years ago, she dreamed of wearing a wedding dress for Cormac, and now it was finally happening.

Stellan teased, "Look at you, grinning like a Cheshire cat. Can't wait, huh?"

"Yeah, I can't wait," Rowena admitted, excitement bubbling over. "I've loved him for over ten years, and now I'm finally marrying him. Of course, I can't wait." Stellan chuckled, "Your smile's about to split your face."

"Quit teasing. Aren't you the same?" Rowena shot back. "Let's get our stuff done first, then grab lunch and coffee."

"Sounds good," Stellan agreed.

They checked out several buildings. Rowena found a few she liked and jotted them down to compare later.

After a morning of running around, they had lunch and chatted until the afternoon, then grabbed some tea.

As a mom of three, Stellan couldn't help but nudge Rowena about getting pregnant soon.

Rowena sighed, "Seeing your three kids, I'm so jealous. But I know triplets are rare. We already have Aurora, so if I can have one more healthy baby, I'll be happy." "Another baby plus your smart Aurora would be awesome," Stellan said.

"Yeah, just thinking about it makes me smile," Rowena admitted.

Just then, Stellan's phone rang. It was Mia. Stellan answered, "Mia?"

Mia asked, "Stellan, where are you? Josep is here."

Stellan thought, 'Josep? Today isn't Alaric's treatment day.' She replied, "Got it, Mia. Tell Josep to hang tight. I'll be right back."

"Okay." Stellan nodded. Today wasn't a treatment day, so Josep's visit made her uneasy. "Could something be wrong with Alaric's treatment?"

Rowena reassured her, "Don't freak out. I'll get you back quick so you can ask him yourself."

Stellan nodded. "Alright."

Rowena sped back to the Knight mansion. When Stellan walked in, Josep was chilling on the sofa. She called out, "Josep."

"Galatea, you're back?" Josep said, standing up. "I should've called first so you didn't have to rush."

"It's cool. I'm not busy, just out for a stroll." Stellan quickly asked, "Josep, today isn't Alaric's treatment day. Why are you here? Is something wrong with his treatment?"
