Actually, Alaric really didn't want Stellan to meet Todd. After all, Todd was a ruthless and lecherous braggart.

However, now that he thought since Todd had already come to Arizona, it was inevitable they would meet in the future; so be it.

Early the next morning, Ambrose accompanied Todd to Nexus Innovations, waiting in the lobby.

Todd glanced at his watch to check the time, frowning in displeasure. "Didn't you say Alaric is always punctual? It's already work time; why isn't he here yet?"

Even though Alaric was a board member here, he wouldn't be late for work.

"He's taking Stellan to Reassuring Clinic first, then driving over. There might be traffic," Ambrose explained.

Starting from the Knight mansion, Reassuring Clinic and Nexus Innovations were in opposite directions, naturally adding more time.

Todd seemed to find something amusing. "So, he married the woman you love, not only getting to sleep with her every night, but also sticking with her during the commute. Ambrose, how can you stand that?" Ambrose's face darkened; Todd was so mean.

Todd continued, "Watching the woman you love being possessed by another man every day, yet you can only swallow your anger. Bastards really have no backbone."

Ambrose was gnashing his teeth, but he dared not argue.

Not long after, Alaric walked in. Seeing him, Linda hurried over and respectfully said, "Mr. Knight, these two have been here since early morning, saying..."

Alaric waved her off, signaling her to step back.

"I just arrived and wanted to pay a proper visit to the local head, but Mr. Knight is quite the big shot. My people waited all afternoon yesterday and couldn't see him, so I had to come myself this morning." Todd stepped forward, somewhat emotional.

"The casino just opened, and there's a lot to handle. Ambrose knows this best. Mr. Vale, you just came at a bad time," Alaric replied.

"Yes, my fault," Todd said perfunctorily.

Alaric checked the time and said, "I have a meeting in five minutes. After taking the elevator and walking to the conference room, I only have two minutes left. Mr. Vale, please be brief."

Todd had waited so long, and Alaric was only giving him two minutes?

"Depends on my schedule," Alaric said, walking towards the elevator. "Mr. Vale, wait for a call. My assistant will get back to you when I have time."

With that, the elevator doors opened, Alaric stepped in, and the doors closed, leaving the two outside.

"Even more arrogant than me!" Todd cursed.

"That's Alaric. You'll have to wait," Ambrose said respectfully. "With Alaric involved in the jewelry company acquisition, it won't be done quickly. You can treat these days as a vacation. There are many fun places and hot girls in Arizona. You can relax for a few days."

"That's a good idea," Todd said, walking out. "Arrange it quickly. If I have fun, you'll have it easier."

"Alright," Ambrose said.

Today was another day Stellan spent in the lab. Around three or four in the afternoon, a physician informed her someone was looking for her.

"Rowena?" Stellan was pleasantly surprised to see Rowena.

"Had nothing to do at the hotel, so I went for a walk and ended up here. Hope I'm not disturbing your work?" Rowena asked.

"Of course not. Come, I'll show you my lab on the second floor," Stellan proposed.

"Sure," Rowena replied.

Stellan took Rowena to the second floor. Rowena was truly amazed by the lab.

"This is a pharmaceutical lab? So cool." After looking around, Rowena admired Stellan even more. "Stellan, you actually do medical research? That's incredible!" Rowena was genuinely in awe of Stellan.

"Not really, I'm just a beginner compared to those seasoned medical professors," Stellan said.

"You're already amazing. You're someone who truly contributes to the medical field, a remarkable person," Rowena praised.

"Stop flattering me, I'm really not that great," Stellan said.

"I think you're super impressive. Stellan, you continue your research. I'll be quiet," said Rowena.

Rowena was curious to see Stellan's research process, so Stellan obliged. Rowena watched silently until Alaric came to pick up Stellan.

"Mr. Knight is so busy, yet he picks you up every day. Stellan, you're really lucky." Rowena genuinely envied such a relationship. "You will be too." Stellan hoped Rowena's future husband wouldn't be Richard.

"Miss Blaire?" Alaric was surprised to see Rowena.

"Mr. Knight, I was bored at the hotel, so I came to see Stellan," Rowena explained.

"Stellan always says you two hit it off immediately," Alaric uttered.

"Yes, we did," Rowena smiled. "Since Mr. Knight is here, I will leave you two," Rowena said.

"It's fine. Since you have nothing to do at the hotel, why not come home with us for dinner?"

'Go home with them?'

Rowena voiced, "I heard that you have three kids. I didn't prepare anything. I'll visit next time with gifts for the kids to make a good impression."

Rowena continued, "How about I treat you to dinner tonight? I really want to thank Mr. Knight and hope you give me the chance."

Alaric and Stellan exchanged a glance. Alaric said, "Alright, shall we invite Mr. Walker too?"

"He's busy. No need to call him." Rowena thought Inviting Richard would change the whole atmosphere.

"Okay, just the three of us." Stellan found this to be perfectly in line with his intentions.

The three went to a restaurant. After sitting down, Rowena expressed her gratitude, "First, I want to thank Mr. Knight for choosing me as the casino's ambassador. It's a great honor. Also, I apologize for delaying the ad shoot due to personal reasons. You didn't hold it against me, which makes me feel ashamed."

Alaric smiled faintly and replied, "I had my own reasons. Maybe it's because you share a name with a friend of a friend, so I felt a bit of familiarity."

'A friend of a friend? Share a name?' Rowena pondered before asking, "Mr. Knight, may I ask which friend are you referring to?"

"Cormac," Alaric answered.
