Mommy for Billionaire's Baby -
Chapter 46 b
Tasya walked slowly. In front of her, a nurse was chattering away, talking about this and that regarding the care and well-being of patients Tasya needed to visit. Who else but her mother? Nathan was absolutely serious about moving his mother to another hospital.
Although Respati had a lot of questions for Tasya, what could she do when Nathan had given his orders? Nathan's mouth easily said, "It's not because Dr. Respati isn't competent to provide care for my future mother-in-law, but I need peace of mind. Professional boundaries mixed with curiosity can be dangerous, Doc. I think you understand what I'm saying."
Rather than starting World War Ten, Tasya decided to concede and expedite the process of transferring her mother. More than just silly, Ronan and Robin also agreed that her mother should be treated in a better hospital. That's what they said, at least. According to Tasya, it was all just Nathan's trickery.
"Jealous Raptor!" Tasya remarked a week after their grand engagement. Everything about Tasya's mother's transfer went smoothly, including her medical records and the psychological analysis of the middle-aged woman as a reference for the hospital they were heading to now.
"Well, jealousy is a sign of love, Tasya." Nathan grumbled. His hands were already on the steering wheel, and the car's engine was purring softly. "I know Respati is trying to get your attention, Tasya. Do you think I'd just let it happen?" "But I'm not paying any attention to him, am I, Nathan?"
"I know," the man still didn't want to drop the irritated expression on his face. "Anyway, this transfer is also good for your mom, you know."
"More like it's good for you so I don't have to deal with Respati."
"Well, there you go!" Nathan wanted to laugh, especially seeing Tasya pouting while folding her arms across her chest. But why does it seem like you're opposed to it? "You don't like it?"
"No, Nathan." Tasya sighed softly. Honestly, she welcomed Nathan's desire for his mother with open arms. It meant that Nathan cared deeply about his mother's well-being. Although they hadn't talked seriously about it yet, it seemed that Nathan could understand what was going on. "You don't need to be jealous to this extent. Respati is my past."
"But the past he's thinking about is different from you, Tasya. What if he's still hoping for you? I'm not blind when it comes to the way that guy looks at you." Nathan stared straight ahead at the road, which was starting to fill with other drivers. After getting through this little traffic jam, Nathan intended to take the freeway home.
In situations like this, Tasya didn't want to talk much. Not that she didn't want to, but she felt it could worsen the atmosphere.
"Okay, thanks for being jealous, Nathan. I appreciate it."
Nathan still had a flat expression.
"Thanks for caring about your mom." Actually, this wasn't like Tasya at all, but if this could make Nathan stop sulking, she would do it. So... leaning a little on Nathan's arm and trying not to disturb the man while the drove was what Tasya did
now.
"I want to talk to your mom seriously, though. Well... maybe when things are stable, I can let you know if she's pregnant again." Nathan grinned. "Besides, I've also looked into a competent doctor to handle your mom. Respati might be competent, but I don't want to always have doubts in my mind. What is my wife doing with Respati at the hospital? No, it's not that bad, Tasya. I'm not that cynical. But just imagining you chatting casually with Respati drives me crazy." Tasya laughed.
"To put me at ease, Tasya."
"Those words should belong to me, you know. You're the main jealous one."
Nathan pouted in disapproval. "Can't believe you're changing the subject."
"Yeah, yeah."
"Hey, Mama said we're meeting the wedding organizer tomorrow. Do you have any ideas for the venue?"
Recalling their conversation from some time ago, Tasya couldn't help but smile. Suddenly, the voices around her faded into the background. There had been a lot of shouting and laughter accompanying Tasya as she followed the nurse earlier, but because of the brief exchange with Nathan that had crossed her mind, it was only the man's face that kept appearing.
"Well, there's Mrs. Abigail," the nurse pointed with a cheerful face. "From our observations, Miss Tasya, Mrs. Abigail is much calmer and rarely hysterical."
Tasya slowed her pace slightly. "Is that right, Sus?"
"Yes," the nurse smiled brightly. "Her progress is good. She's open to counseling, talks a lot. And most importantly, her interactions with other patients appear normal. Nothing unusual at all."
"So there's a possibility that my mom can recover, right?"
"Psychological conditions depend on the environment and the subconscious mind, Miss. The more she's reminded of her triggers, it can have an impact on Mrs. Abigail. The right redirection can be done, but it takes time, Ma'am. Perhaps all the chaos and bad things that happened to her caused her to act unconsciously. Hysterical. She might feel like nothing is happening around her while she's having an outburst. Or she's sinking deeper into her thoughts."
Tasya nodded quietly.
"She's taking her medication regularly as well. There have been cases where patients just discard their meds, Miss. But she's not like that. You could say she's a compliant patient."
"Is there a reason for that?"
The nurse smiled. "Maybe Mrs. Abigail misses her child?"
