Mine: His Caged Princess -
Chapter 91

Wylder was getting impatient to hear her answer, but he couldn’t lose his temper, remembering that she was pregnant.
“Zahir, I think you both need to talk because I don’t think she is in the state to answer us anything,” Wylder said, nudging Eliam to leave. He could hear everything, even by standing out. He couldn’t understand why Breda would do such a thing.
“What now?” Eliam asked. Wylder knew even he was confused and shocked by all this. After all, she was the only female in our group, if not our best friend, from the beginning when he started to handle the pack. “I don’t know, man. Only Breda could tell us the truth.”
“Observing all this, I’m scared. What if my mate will be a witch too, and she will try to kill you too?” Eliam muttered in tension, knowing that Wylder had planned to take him to his father’s coven tomorrow.
“You don’t want to meet your mate now?”
“I… I do. It’s just that I’m a little scared. You know, with the bad experience witches around us.” Eliam responded, rubbing his neck. His words matched his expression. Breda’s betrayal shocked all three of them. Eliam wondered if he was feeling this bad, then how broken Zahir would be.
He wasn’t sure whether tomorrow he would find his mate for all his life or would have to reject her.
His wolf whimpered at that thought.
He took a leave from there to clear his mind before leaving for the coven tomorrow, while Wylder had no choice but to stay there to listen to what they were talking about.
“Why?” He heard the hoarse voice of Zahir. “I don’t know how to react to your betrayal, Breda. You kept lying about your identity from day one. Why?”
‘I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m sure Zahir will fill us in later. Let’s go and check on Ara first.’ Night said. He wanted to grab every opportunity to stay by her side. Not to forget, they also had to ask, ‘How did she remember a witch spell?’
Wylder agreed with him, knowing that if he said no, his Lycan would take control of his body and take him near her.

“Care to open your mouth?” Zahir growled at his mate, who was sitting like a statue. He couldn’t recognize the woman who was in front of her because this wasn’t the Breda that she knew. “Was everything between us a lie too?”
“Yes, it was all a lie. I came here to keep an eye on your Alpha.” She hissed in anger. “I never came here in search of a mate in the first place. That’s a different thing that fate was on my side and you turned out to be my mate.” She added that that was when Zahir realized that he had found his mate just a couple of days later when Wylder became the Alpha of this pack.
“And why am I doing this? Because I’m Breda Parker, the half-sister of Wylder’s ex-mate, Zelda Corey. I’m sure your best friend would have told you about her.”
Zahir kept staring at her, recalling the lies that fed him—that she was an orphan and all that shit. He so much wished that he could torture her to get all the truth out of her system, but he couldn’t because he was his mate. He could not allow them to treat her that way because she was pregnant.
He wanted to reject her immediately, but he couldn’t because rejecting a marked female in the early stages of pregnancy could lead to miscarriage.
“Mama, baba!! Storytime,” Zahir heard their pup’s voice at the door and gritted his teeth in anger.
Four years.
For the past four years, she has been fooling him and everyone around her.
‘Eliam, Can you please read the story to Arham tonight and look after him as well?’ He asked through the mental link.
‘Sure, Buddy.’
‘Collect him from my door.’
“You’re leaving here tomorrow.” He said it sternly.
“You can’t kick your pup out of the pack,” Breda said in disbelief.
“Who said that I was kicking my pup out of my pack? You, witches, can do a lot of magic. If Zelda is your half-sister, then I’m sure you must know how Lestat created a pup with magic. In the same way, I will ask someone to transfer my pup from your womb to someone else, and then you’re leaving.” Hearing this, Breda’s expression changed.
“You can’t do that.” She growled at him, shaking her head. “I won’t let that happen. You can’t snatch my pup from me.”
“As if you care.” Zahir scoffed, walking towards her. “Everything around us is a lie, baby. Don’t tell me that your affection towards my pups is real.”
“Zahir, I swear I will…” Breda’s eyes widened when he pushed her back on the bed and placed his leg near his head.
