FLASHBACK

“Wow!!” Tiara smiled, looking at the dining table filled with the breakfast cooked by her mother. She had a strong desire to eat the food she had prepared. That was why she had planned to burn every calorie that she would take in the gym.

“Thank you so much, Mom.” She ran towards Sophia to hug her tightly.

“Thanks to you for keeping the kitchen full of all the stocks,” Sophia responded. She thought that might be Wylder’s job, but nope, it was Tiara’s work. She had started keeping the stock because Wylder liked cooking and Tiara liked watching him cook.

“Then you should thank the person because of whom I did that. By the way, where is he?” Tiara asked, looking around and then at the table again, “You didn’t prepare buttermilk pancakes for Wild? You know that it’s his favorite from your hand.” She complained with a pout.

“Sorry for asking that stupid question. There is no way you won’t have prepared breakfast for him. Maybe he already has his breakfast after all, he must have been very tired after training. She spoke more like she was talking to herself.

She walked towards her room in search of him and also to freshen up before having breakfast.

“He is not here, Tee,” Sophia said that was where her legs halted. She turned towards her mother to learn more. “He has some urgent work, so he left.” She added.

“Oh, when will he return?”Tiara asked. Even though she wasn’t happy with this news. But at the same time, she knew that Wylder was an alpha. Any work could pop up at the last moment.

“I have no idea. It might take hours or days.” Sophia said, shrugging her shoulders. “He kept calling you to talk about the same thing, but I guess you didn’t get a chance to use your phone during your workout.” She added, knowing that her daughter would have done that intentionally.

Hearing this, Tiara’s face paled. “I… will join you all after freshening up.” She muttered before walking towards her room again.

She quickly switched on her phone and received the message that Wylder had left for him.

‘F**k!!’ She cursed mentally and dialed his number, holding her head with her other hand. She mentally scolded herself when she couldn’t reach him. ‘Maybe he will go somewhere where the network connection won’t be strong.’ She concluded and started feeling guilty.

She wanted to teach him a lesson.

In the end, she ended up learning a lesson on her own: from now on, she would never ever ignore his call, no matter how mad she would be.

‘Me and my big fat ego.” She thought and punched her hand on the wall in anger. A sharp pain shot into her hand, but she didn’t care. She deserved it.

She couldn’t understand what part of the answers he was looking for, but it shouldn’t involve any damage to him. A lot of wrong thoughts started poking her mind, like what if there would be some war between the pack or an attack from vampires or witches?

She couldn’t stop herself from thinking negative things. Her heart was pounding loudly with the thought of what if… what if this would be their last meeting?

‘F**k! F**k! F**k! He wanted to talk to me before leaving, but I was busy with my own world. I didn’t get to ask the reason in detail, nor did I get a chance to give her a goodbye k**s.’

Wylder stood at the boundary of the Coven of Silver Flame. The coven from where he belonged. The coven that held the power of the air.

“Please let Zadok Bringer know about my arrival.” He said to the guard instead of walking inside on his own. He watched that guard use air as a medium to deliver the message. After a moment, Zadok Bringer was standing at the border with four of his guards behind him.

“Wilfred,” He walked towards him to hug Wylder, but he stepped behind. “I see, you’re not here to meet your father,” he muttered, to which Wylder didn’t react.

“Can we talk? It’s something very urgent.” Wylder spoke.

“You don’t treat me as your father, but you’re here with the thought of helping.” Zadok chuckled more like he was taunting him.

“I… uh..” Wylder was at a loss for words upon hearing those words. To be honest, he really thought that this person would help him solve the mystery of his life.

“You do know that asking help from witches and wizards without any related costs you something,” Zadok said in a professional tone.

“What do you want?” Wylder asked in an alert tone. The last thing he wanted was to fall into their trap.

“Stay with me for two days. So that we can work on…”

“That’s not happening.” Wylder shook his head, cutting him in between. He was well aware of his wife’s intention. She wanted to kill his lycan and turn him into a pure wizard so that he could be the next ruler of the coven.

“You do know that I can force you to do the things that I want if I want,” Zadok said, raising an eyebrow. “But I really want you to take that step on your own, Wilfred.”

“Anyways, come inside if you want to talk about something urgently,” Zadok said. Wylder thought about it for a while and reluctantly agreed. “Don’t worry, we won’t try to kill your Lycan. Not after knowing that you are an Alpha now, because the werewolf king will surely find out what happened to you and then have our heads. It was easier when you were nobody.”

“I wanted to ask…”

“Not here.”

Wylder nodded his head and followed him. Night was fully awake and in alert mode, ready to take control if required.

‘He is the stolen prince.’

‘He still has that dog part.’ Night fumed in anger when he heard ‘DOG’. He was a f*****g Lycan and an Alpha.

‘Oracle had told him that his dog would be stronger than others, and if they couldn’t kill him at the time of his birth, then there is a big chance that they couldn’t kill him later.’

[If they will keep insulting me like this, I might break their neck],” Night growled in anger. [Think about Ara’s p***y and stay quiet,] Wylder said, knowing how to tame his beast. [Ah. About that, she let me f**k for the first time last time. Though it was short, I loved every second of it.] He purred like a love-sick puppy. But then he hated when someone called him a dog.
