Mated To Big Brother-in-law Chapter 193

Chapter

There was breaking news spreading in the Night Shade Pack very quickly. All of the news channels and media outlets were using their mediums to report the news.

Students in a cafe near Night Shade University were watching the news on television. "Breaking News!

This is the second time this month that our border guards have captured rogues in the forest. But it was not about them but their condition. They found them in a deadly condition. Though the border quards wanted to kill the rogues, they let us know that Alpha Bryan stopped them from killing them.

Everyone turned silent as they watched the news carefully. A few of them could not understand why their Alpha had denied killing them. They were rogues, and they were not safe for the pack members.

They remained focused on the news, which was still being broadcast.

"All the officials cooperated with us when we asked them about the current situation. They stated it's Alpha Bryan, who did not want to kill rogues but investigate who was behind these situations. Because no ordinary person could win a fight with the rogues."

Sara and Nolan's eyes were fixed on the television. At that time, a girl in blue jeans and a black t- shirt entered the restaurant. Her makeup was simple, and her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail.

She looked like a natural beauty who could captivate any man's eyes if she wanted.

On the other hand, there was something strange about her, and that was her eyes. They were cold

and serene. It was the only thing that made people hesitant to approach her.

"Sophia, here," Sara spoke out as she waved her hand at the girl.

Who could have guessed that girl was Sophia Berge? She had become an ethereal beauty, as though she had been imprisoned and then abruptly transformed into a blossoming flower. She had gained self-confidence and a new way of life. Although

most people thought she had confidence because she once used to be the personal The girl who worked under the head of Alpha, of course, had gained

assistant of Alpha

some courage in hersell.

But no one knew why she left the Morrison Group. Her ex-best friend, Luisa, tried to manipulate others by saying that she was fired by the company.

However, when Sophia's CV became public and the Morrison Group did not seal it, people had to believe that Sophia had left the company on her own. It was surprising that Morrison Group let

her go so easily while not forbidding other companies from hiring her.

"So, how was your dinner?" Nolan inquired as Sophia took her seat at the table.

"Dinner?" Sophia asked, arching her brows in confusion.

Sara and Nolan exchanged glances before Sara asked Sophia,

"Didn't you leave last night without having dinner with us? You said you have a family dinner in your house."

Sophia's brows lifted as she realized it. She nodded her head and replied,

Yeah, you are right. It went well."

Her gaze moved from Sara and Nolan to the television that was positioned in the center of the wall behind them.

Sara turned her head and glanced at the news again. "Have you heard the latest news, Sophia? It is becoming dangerous for us to live in this pack."

Sophia furrowed her brows and asked, "Why?"

Nolan replied to her as he tried to explain.

"Don't you think it's dangerous that someone is injuring rogues and he is not even familiar with

any of our officials, not even a pack fighter? Who knows who he is? It must be a powerful Alpha."

Sophia's gaze remained fixed on the news as she murmured,

is it to us?"

Sara shook her head and said,

"What if we went out for a run and one day we came face-to-face with that person? What if he wants to kill us? I can't believe someone powerful is in our pack but is living a mysterious life. I'm feeling scared."

Nolan gave Sara a hug and a head pat. "Baby, don't get scared. I will accompany you on runs every single time. No one can hurt you."

Sophia stared at her friends for a while. She could say they loved each other a lot. They were the true example of mates. It was amazing how much they cared for one another.

Lifting her hand to signal a waiter, Sophia cleared her throat. She turned her head back to the couple and said,

"Calm down, guys. I don't think that person has any intention to harm anyone. He maybe wants to help us or, I can say, save his life from danger."

Sara looked at Sophia and thought for a while. "You are right. He is helping us. But how did he do that? Every time rogues got caught in the forest, people said they had no injuries to their bodies. But they became mentally unstable. Whenever someone asked them how that happened, they could only call Alpha's name."

Nolan simply shook his head. "There is no way it could be Alpha Bryan. Because if it had been him, he would never have been given permission to conduct an investigation. It is like he is eager to know who is the person behind all of this."

Sophia's

a's eyes turned dark when she heard Bryan's name. She looked away from her friends as she let out a harsh tone.

"The man who does not know how to deal with his matebond, how will he deal with someone who can freeze anyone mentally?"

and Nolan bit their tongues when they realized they should not mention Bryan in front of

Sara and

Sophia.

But Sophia was living her life like a calm girl, as if she had forgotten about her past completely. Sara reached out her hand and held Sophia's. With a gulp, she spoke,

"We are sorry; we should not talk about him."

Sophia smiled at her and patted her best friend's hand.

"It's okay. It's been a while since we stopped crossing each other's paths. We are happy with our lives."
