Forty minutes later, Matthew got up, his eyes filled with a warmth that seemed to pierce right through her. Aubree felt like a puddle, playfully punching him on the shoulder.

Matthew wrapped her up in his arms, whispering, "Sweet as pie." Aubree blushed a shade that rivaled the fiercest sunset. Andrew had never treated her like this; their relationship had always been one-sided, with Andrew focusing solely on his own needs. But Matthew

was different. He made sure she was happy first, a rare quality in most guys.

Most men aren't exactly keen on foreplay. Aubree's breathing quickened, and Matthew pulled her closer. "Hey, love," he said, not even bothering with her name, "Got any scenes tomorrow?"

Aubree shook her head. "Mr. Casey's given me the day off. The weather's supposed to be nice tomorrow; how about we escape to the mountains?"

"I'd rather not," she replied. His voice dropped, "You know what I'd prefer." Aubree sighed, "We need to take it easy sometimes."

Matthew wasn't having it and lifted her onto the vanity. "Easy isn't in my vocabulary." Aubree's eyes darted away, feeling a bit uneasy. "But we can't overdo it. If I don't show up tomorrow, tongues will wag."

Matthew's grin widened, "Okay." But come bedtime, Aubree's say in the matter seemed to vanish. It wasn't until four the next afternoon that she was free.

Matthew, looking pleased as punch, dressed and kissed her cheek before heading out. Aubree didn't have the energy to walk him out. In the hallway, Matthew sensed an odd vibe. Aubree's assistant saw him to the door, awkwardly hinting, "The walls are paper-thin." In other words, even if Aubree kept quiet, there was no masking the noise of their passion, creaking bed and all. Matthew raised an eyebrow and told her, "Keep this between us."

The assistant nodded, watching him leave with a satisfied smirk. She wondered if he did it on purpose.

Aubree didn't stir until six in the

evening, feeling completely worn

out. Her assistant brought her some comforting snacks. Lying in bed,

Aubree dropped the façade, knowing her assistant had pieced it together.

"If you ever date, go for someone

older," she advised.

But despite her words, there was a hint of a smile, and not a flicker of breakup thoughts in her eyes. Maybe the idea of Matthew being so attached made her feel special. That feeling of importance was unmistakable. Having been around Aubree for ages, the assistant could see her true feelings. "Aubree, Mr. Matthew seems like a real catch."

Aubree didn't respond, just focused on her food. What she didn't realize was that gossip about her and Matthew was already swirling. With so many people on set, last night's noise didn't go unnoticed. And with both of them MIA today, people started putting two and two together.

Rumors flew that Aubree and Matthew were an item. Though Matthew was Casey's son and not really in the business, talk about him always led back to Casey. Casey was a world-renowned director, and his entertainment company was Matthew's inheritance.

But soon, someone tried to squash the rumors. "It's all just chatter," said a supporting actress from Casey's crew. She'd met Matthew overseas and even attended his birthday bash from afar. Plus, her brother was tight with Matthew, often hanging out, so she had known Matthew for a while and dreamed of becoming Mrs. Matthew herself. Only nineteen, she saw herself as younger and fresher than Aubree. Besides, everyone had heard about Aubree's past with Andrew.
