Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1418
Brielle was at a loss for words, tears streaming down her cheeks as she reached out with a trembling hand, the veins on her forehead standing out from crying so hard.
King's heart ached for her. He quickly pulled out the ring, his fingers shaking as he tried to slide it onto her finger. It took him a full minute to get it right, but as soon as he did, the sky above the castle exploded in a dazzling array of fireworks, lighting up the night. "I want to give you all the cliché romance in the world," King whispered, his voice trembling. "To be that perfectly ordinary husband and wife."
"Love lifts us above everything, yet it also binds us to the rest," he continued.
Brielle didn't care about anything else anymore, just cried in his arms. The night sky was lit up not just by fireworks, but by drones too, yet nothing could outshine the man in front of her.
Tonight, the viewers of their live stream were moved to tears, crying along with Brielle. The top trends on social media were all about Brielle's proposal. Overwhelmed by emotion, Brielle didn't stay at the scene for long. King led her to a waiting car.
The production crew's cameras kept rolling, capturing the meticulous details of the setup, showing the thought and care put into the proposal. They explained to the audience that Mr. Dorsey had planned the proposal early on, joining the reality show just to keep it a surprise from Brielle.
After getting into the car, King didn't forget to message Hank, instructing him to give the flowers from the scene to visitors at the amusement park the next day, with a reminder to keep the place tidy. "Let's spread this happiness to every witness," he said. The message, read aloud to the viewers, prompted another wave of tears. "Bless them," the audience commented. "My tears are worthless tonight." "Brielle's crying so hard, it's heartbreaking." "If I were her, I'd probably cry myself into a faint." Back at Premier Palace, many friends were waiting: Dustin Lynch, Raymond, Sarah, Isaac, Aubree, all smiling as they greeted the couple and ushered them to sit down. Brielle wasn't hungry, but with everyone gathered, she quickly joined King at the table, encouraging everyone to dig in. The meal wasn't extravagant but was elegant, and given the late hour, it was more about the sentiment than the food. Brielle and King toasted with their friends, sharing a light-hearted moment amidst the celebration.
Isaac, a little tipsy, his cheeks flushed, stumbled over with a small glass of wine. "Brielle, drink up, congratulations, and dad," he stuttered, more than usual due to his excitement. Brielle laughed, hugging him and planting a big kiss on his cheek before downing the wine. "Thanks, little guy."
Isaac stood there, not wanting to
leave. Brielle thought he might have something else to say, but then King ruffled his hair. "Now that Brielle and I are getting married, maybeat's time for a new title, huh?"
Both Isaac and Brielle were bashful, yet eagerly anticipating. Taking a deep breath, Isaac managed, "Mommy."
Brielle's eyes teared up again, but after crying so much, she found it hard to shed more tears, simply hugging Isaac, "Sweetheart." Isaac's lips quivered into a smile.
The room was full, including parents who had traveled from North America. Brielle and King were busy till late, finally retreating to their master bedroom.
She drew a bath, coaxing King to
join her. After their bath, they cuddled up in bed, simply holding each other. Brielle was filled with a sweet contentment, just about to say something to King when he looked at her, his eyelids drooping.
"Brielle."
"Hmm?"
"I'm so tired."
"Then sleep."
"But I don't want to sleep. I want to keep looking at you."
Despite his words, King's eyes soon closed. "Just want to keep looking at you, love you." With that, he fell asleep in her arms.
Brielle thought about how hard King
had been working recently, feeling a tender ache for him. This man, truly. Before long, she too drifted off, the night's events feeling like a beautiful dream. en FindNovel
