Master of his heart (Max and Brielle) -
Chapter 1402
"King, I'll go have a word with the production team. It's the hottest reality show right now, and they've got their guest list pretty much locked in for each episode. If they've already picked someone, we might have to bide our time." Seeing her nod, King pulled her into a hug. "Alright."
Truth be told, he'd already sorted things out. The production team had planned to bring in two special guests, but one had fallen ill, leaving a perfect spot for King and Brielle.
Early the next morning, Brielle made her way to Stellar Stage Entertainment to pitch the idea. To her surprise, the production team agreed almost instantly. It was so quick she found it hard to believe.
The director shook her hand with a grin. "Mr. Haywood, it's settled then. Since the show is live, each guest will have their own streaming room, with tons of audience comments, so there's no room for editing. Since it's your and Mr. Dorsey's first go at a reality show, I should lay out the rules for you."
The live format was no accident; live streaming was all the rage. It had become a lifeline for many, with actors who couldn't land roles turning to live streams to sell stuff.
Riding the wave of live streaming's popularity, the production team saw an opportunity to spice things up with a bit of romance, giving the show's ratings a serious boost.
After a quick rundown of the rules for "Travel in Romance," which involved visiting various spots and earning their keep through games, the director issued a warning.
"With you two being in the spotlight, every move you make on camera will be magnified. We need to be careful, or any slip-up could have serious repercussions for Stellar Stage Entertainment's stock."
The director's initial excitement about having Brielle and Max on board soon turned to concern.
Brielle chuckled, "He's just looking to have a good time. Don't worry, we'll go with the flow."
The director seemed skeptical. Mr. Dorsey didn't exactly seem like the kind of guy who's just there for kicks. As for Brielle, owning an entertainment company, she probably wanted to get a feel for what audiences really like.
True to her reputation as the head of Stellar Stage Entertainment, her business smarts were top-notch.
With their participation confirmed, Brielle spent her time catching up on the show with King. The upcoming season promised fresh faces, and while three pairs had been revealed, the special guests' identities
remained a mystery, stirring online
buzz.
"If anyone guesses the names of the two special guests, the production will reward them with a million dollars in cash."
Wow!
Even before filming kicked off, the show was already trending. Sitting on the couch, Brielle laughed at the director's clever move. "He's smart. No one's gonna guess it's us, so he gets to boost the show's buzz without spending a dime." King held her close, breathing in her scent with a soft smile. "Yeah, Brielle. Let's make sure to have a blast on the show."
She looked at him, a bit surprised,
"It's not like we can't have fun later. If you really get into reality shows, Stellar Stage Entertainment could always back a few more. We don't have to worry about profits, as long as you're enjoying yourself
She never thought she'd be the type to splash out for a friend.
King felt a bittersweet ache. How could he bear to leave? He sighed, holding her tighter.
Lately, he had been feeling off, likely due to the medication. Originally, his mental strength was weaker than Max's, and with Max being the main personality, he appeared more often. After the accident, Max, worn out, had taken a backseat, giving King his chance.
Now, with a cure in sight to rid Max of his past traumas, Max's mental state was set to return to its peak, potentially sidelining King, who'd already been brought to light.
