Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew) -
Chapter 3361 James Leaves in Anger
James' entire body shook with anger, completely at a loss for words. At that moment, it felt as if he was seeing Helen for the very first time.
"Fine, we'll see how you get fooled by them in the future! And don't you dare come running back to us, crying for help!" Without hesitation, he rose from his seat, kicked over the chair beside him, and stormed out.
"If you've got the nerve, James, then don't bother coming back! I stood by you through all these hard years, and this is how you repay me? You're heartless! Go run off to that traitor-both of you are a perfect match! I had so many admirers after me back then, and I ended up marrying a worthless man like you!"
Seeing him walk away only fueled Helen's rage. She hurled the glass of milk in her hand toward the doorway, as if aiming straight for him.
Her furious, piercing shouts reverberated through the villa.
Miller's eyes flashed with smug satisfaction. Old man, don't even think of messing up my plans! But outwardly, he wore a remorseful and concerned expression as he sat down next to Helen, appearing pitiful.
"Aunt Helen, is Uncle James upset because of me? It's all my fault for upsetting him. Please don't be mad, Aunt Helen." He lightly patted Helen's back, repeatedly acting as though he was blaming himself.
"Miller, don't blame yourself. The real problem is James-he's worthless and pettier than anyone can be!" She waved off his concern with a shake of her head before continuing, "Go ahead and reach out to your father and grandfather. Let them know I've accepted their
terms."
...
Meanwhile, at the Martial League, James burst into the lobby, speaking quickly to the receptionist, "I need to see Mr. Warrington right away!"
Helen, that irrational woman, seemed dead set on forgiving the Cunningham family. She was even pushing to combine S&L's breakfast business with Cunningham's herbal cuisine shop. Now, he had no way to influence this situation, and the only person who could turn things around was Matthew.
But every time James tried reaching him, his phone was off, leaving James far too restless to wait around.
The receptionist, a young lady, noticed the urgency in his face and asked, "Sir, do you have an appointment with Mr. Warrington?"
He quickly shook his head, responding in a hurried tone, "No, I don't have an appointment, but just let him know that James Cunningham is here. I guarantee he'll meet with me!"
Hearing his words, she gave a resigned smile and responded softly, "I apologize, Mr. Cunningham, but I can't allow you to see Mr. Warrington without an appointment."
James grew more anxious at her refusal, but then an idea struck him. "Do you know Matthew, the Summit Warden of the Martial League?"
The receptionist nodded, her eyes lighting up with admiration. "Of course! Mr. Larson is the pride of the Martial League!"
James hurriedly explained, "I'm his father-in-law, and I have an urgent issue related to him. I need to speak with Mr. Warrington directly. Let him know I'm here-he's familiar with my
name and will definitely mith
me!
The receptionist, hearing the urgency in his voice and recalling Matthew's status, eventually nodded and picked up the desk phone to call Stellan.
Matthew's marriage was already
common knowledge within the
Martial League. When he had once ordered the entire Hulwin Martial League to search for Sasha, it caused a huge stir. The scale of that effort left the Hulwin families
completely baffled, as they were unsure about the reason behind it.
"Mr. Warrington, there's a man downstairs who identifies himself as James Cunningham, and he says he is..."
