Raegan bit her lip so hard it turned white. "Mitchel, we can't afford to fall together!"

After saying this, he made the hard decision to release the hold he had held so firmly.

"Don't let go of me!" Mitchel roared.

His body leaned forward even more.

“Raegan…” Mitchel’s voice cracked, echoing her desperation. «Hold on!

"They will find us soon."

Sadness filled Raegan's eyes. She couldn't lie to herself any longer.

If he didn't act, she would surely drag him down with her. His expression hardened and he said coldly, “Mitchel, I truly despise you. "Let go of me."

Although Mitchel understood his intention, his words hurt him. A painful smile crossed his lips as he said, “It doesn't matter that you despise me. "I'm too close to you."

Mitchel gripped her wrist even more firmly, his eyes fierce and determined. «Don't think you can push me away. "You are tied to me for life."

With those words, the earth gave way beneath them once again, offering them no foothold. They barely had a minute left… Maybe even less…

Raegan wanted to say something harsh to force him to let go of her, but the thought of their impending separation made her shed uncontrollable tears. He wiped away his tears, wanting to engrave her face in his memory one last time. Deep grief and longing urged her to take one more look… “Mitchel.” With a blink of her pretty eyes, she said, “I’m sorry…”

“I will save you!” Mitchel insisted, a single tear escaping his determined gaze. "I won't let you go."

“Take care of Janey for me,” Raegan said.

Then, in one last act of defiance, before the ground collapsed once more, Raegan summoned all her strength to break free from Mitchel's grasp.

"No! "Raegan!" Mitchel's anguished cry echoed.

Raegan descended gently, like a butterfly with damaged wings.

As he had predicted, the ground above crumbled once again, falling ceaselessly.

Raegan was relieved, knowing that she had made the right decision to prevent both of them from falling into tragedy.

Suddenly, a figure plummeted next to Raegan.

Mitchel, his eyes red from the effort, did not hesitate to jump after Raegan fell.

The guards above shouted: “Mr. Dixon!"

Ignoring her calls, Mitchel's dark eyes fixed on Raegan, reaching out to the limit to catch her.

Raegan's eyes widened in disbelief. What he was witnessing seemed incredible to him. Mitchel had jumped after her! Tears ran down her face again. Didn't she realize that jumping could lead to her death?

Raegan pushed herself into the air, stretching her arms upward.

Their fingers barely touched.

Then, Mitchel pulled with all his might, pulling Raegan into a tight hug. They seemed to melt together. They were wrapped tightly around each other.

“Bang!” A loud noise echoed through the air.

They hit the water hard, causing huge ripples.

As the current carried them along, Raegan's rigid body suddenly relaxed.

It was water! They were in the water. They wouldn't die.

Raegan had always doubted her ability to swim, but once submerged, she instinctively rose to the surface, driven by a familiar sensation.

Panicked, he yelled, "Mitchel!"

The water was eerily calm.

Raegan took a deep breath and dove back into the depths to desperately find it.

Then, suddenly, she found herself lifted above the water.
