Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 462

But Raegan rejected the constant protection, seeing it as a sign of weakness.
If Lauren was still alive and kicking, it meant that Lauren's vendetta against her was far from over.
Raegan realized that the adversary lurked in the shadows, and that retreat was the weakest option. It was wiser to employ cunning tactics. He saw in it an opportunity to turn the tables.
Furthermore, Erick had hinted that, aside from Tessa, Lauren might have been involved in the deaths of her grandmother and her unborn child. However, Lauren proved to be too cunning. There was no evidence to support both of these claims.
Therefore, Raegan had Devonte orchestrate everything, including the surveillance.
Raegan had already sensed something was wrong when the cleaning staff bumped into her. Later, in the dressing room, he used his quick thinking to refute Lauren's words, cajoling her into revealing the truth. In the end, Lauren's arrogance led to her own downfall.
Mitchel understood Raegan's intentions. He stopped his actions but maintained vigilance over his safety.
In a frenzy, Lauren lunged forward, only to be met with a forceful kick from Raegan.
“Ah!” Lauren screamed in agony as her fragile body was sent flying again. His head hit the wall hard. Blood ran down the back of his head, staining the wall red.
The excruciating pain warped Lauren's scarred face into a more grotesque and fearsome visage as she fell to the ground. His complexion was pale as paper, as if he would disintegrate at any moment.
Pain coursed through Lauren, her cries for help interspersed with muffled gasps. His pleas echoed in the room as his consciousness faded. “Please help me… Ah…”
Dark brown blood, contaminated with toxins, gushed from Lauren's lips, a grim indicator of her impending death. He suffered from chronic poisoning.
Anyone with medical knowledge could tell from the tone of the blood that Lauren was teetering on the brink of death.
Mitchel's disgust increased with every glance at Lauren. Turning to Raegan, he asked, "How do you wish to proceed?"
Raegan looked at Lauren with eyes brimming with animosity as she said coldly, “He said he prefers death to prison, so let's make sure he abides by the consequences. "We will send her to prison, where she can spend the rest of her days and perhaps seek redemption."
Even stripped of her fragments of memories, Raegan couldn't muster even an ounce of kindness toward Lauren. Thinking about her innocent daughter and her grandmother, both unjustly kidnapped, fueled a rage in her so powerful that it bordered on madness. He longed to destroy Lauren and subject her to torturous agony.
However, if death took Lauren now, it would only offer comfort to her weak, disabled body. Lauren had to endure a fate worse than death itself.
Raegan wanted Lauren to suffer and feel the weight of her sins falling on her with each passing day. Only then would Lauren truly understand the magnitude of her wrongdoings, but she would still be completely powerless to make amends. What could be more heartbreaking than a life without hope, burdened only by relentless agony?
With two counts of instigation to murder and the death of several people in that car, Lauren's guilt was undeniable. No matter how long Lauren lived, even two hundred years, she would remain a prisoner of her actions.
Mitchel cast a cold glance at Lauren, whose features were now distorted beyond recognition, and said in a chilling tone, "As you wish."
His voice cut the air like the icy breath of a demon in the depths of hell.
Lauren fought to contain her trembling. Mitchel's tone suggested that he had conjured up countless cruel methods to deal with her. In fact, his ruthless nature was nothing new to her. That harrowing trip to the psychiatric hospital had almost driven her to madness.
Still, Lauren adamantly refused to go to jail. Facing that fate would mean the end of his existence. By no means. I couldn't accept it. I would rather die than go to jail!
«Unfortunate! "It serves you well that they beat the monstrosity out of you that you were carrying in your womb." Lauren's laughter echoed with a frantic tone, each syllable dripping with venom. "The spawn had a very fitting end!"
These words struck Raegan like a bolt of lightning from a clear sky. They washed over her, awakening a feeling of déjà vu deep within her. A chill ran down his spine and gave him goosebumps.
Memories flooded Raegan's mind, piling up like a tower about to collapse. The sterile smell of the hospital lingered in his memories. Lauren had said the same thing before: "The spawn had a very fitting end!" Lauren had even used the same tone.
As she struggled to remember anything else, Raegan suddenly felt a searing pain. It was as if his skull was being assaulted by a relentless drill, whirring and gnawing at his senses.
Raegan's hand instinctively went to her temple, trying to calm the agony. However, the pain persisted. It was relentless and overwhelming, making her legs buckle beneath her.
“Raegan!” Mitchel's voice cut through the haze of pain, a worried expression as he ran to her side, catching her frail form before she fell.
With great care, Mitchel cradled Raegan as if she were the most precious treasure. His voice trembled with worry as he asked, “Where does it hurt?”
Raegan's complexion turned ghostly pale. His throbbing head made it difficult for him to say complete sentences. "It hurts... It hurts a lot..."
Clinging tightly to Mitchel's arm, Raegan felt completely helpless in the searing pain.
The typically resolute girl let out a cry of pain, Mitchel's eyes brimming with emotion, his heart aching at her suffering. If only he could endure the pain instead.
The anguish evident in Mitchel's eyes was not lost on Lauren. This display of emotion on Mitchel's part was unprecedented. He had never been so vulnerable before her before. Mitchel's seemingly kind gestures in the past were nothing more than superficial acts of compensation with money and material possessions. But this genuine feeling was reserved solely for Raegan, from start to finish.
Consumed with rage and madness, Lauren's eyes gleamed with malice as she fumbled for a syringe and jabbed it into her thigh with frantic determination.
The potent drug coursed through her veins, numbing the pain and giving her unlimited strength.
Then, brandishing the syringe, Lauren lunged at her, driven by the desire for revenge. "Damn woman, rot in hell!"
The bitter cold surrounded Raegan, engulfing her in an icy cave and making her shiver uncontrollably.
