Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 414
? ? ? ? ?
The sensation made Jarrod's entire body stiffen. The flames of the past were instantly rekindled.
His body was shaking uncontrollably. He felt as if the fire inside him was about to explode. Instinctively, he squeezed Nicole and his lips searched for the right place.
Nicole pressed her chin with her palm, stopping the approach. He raised his eyebrows slightly. «Let's go somewhere else. To your house. Do you dare? »
Jarrod stared at her. He paused slightly and looked at her doubtfully.
He was confused by the sudden change in her behavior.
Nicole laughed lazily. As she tapped his fingers on his chin, she looked at Jarrod and said provocatively, "Mr. Schultz, how do you spell the word coward?"
The corners of Jarrod's lips twitched. He no longer cared about the tricks she tried to pull. He bit her fingers.
He licked the tips of her fingers with his wet tongue, smiled wickedly, and asked, "Are you thinking about how to kill me?"
Then he picked her up and carried her away. Nicole was so startled that she unconsciously put her arm around his neck.
Since they were in a hotel, a lot of people came and went. Of course, they attracted the attention of others.
But Jarrod didn't see it as a bad thing.
Nicole, on the other hand, felt uncomfortable. He whispered, “Jarrod, put me down.”
Jarrod stood up straight, waiting for the elevator, and gave a soft chuckle. "Can't you take it anymore?"
Nicole glared at him. “Get lost!”
Jarrod snorted. He was about to say something when the elevator suddenly rang.
The doors opened.
Roscoe, standing inside the elevator with a carry-on bag, looked directly at Jarrod and Nicole.
Jarrod frowned at Roscoe. He was about to speak when Nicole slapped him on the chin, interrupting him. He asked impatiently: "Are we going or not?"
The slap left a striking red mark on Jarrod's chin. But Jarrod wasn't angry at all. He just hummed in recognition.
Then, a flash of light flashed in Jarrod's eyes. He looked at Roscoe and asked, "Are you coming down?"
Roscoe looked at Nicole, cowering in Jarrod's arms. He responded in his usual voice: "No."
Then, Roscoe got out of the elevator. As he left, the corner of the bag he was carrying brushed against Nicole's leg.
But nobody noticed.
Nicole saw tofu pudding in the bag. And he knew that it was from a post near the hospital where he had once been.
She had tried it many times because Roscoe used to buy it for her when she was hospitalized. However, he was now in Hilpton. That post was seventy kilometers from here. Did you go all the way to buy it just because she liked it? Plus, it only took half an hour to get there and back. How had he done it?
Suddenly, Nicole didn't dare to continue thinking. He lowered his head to hide the expression in his eyes.
Before the elevator doors closed, Jarrod suddenly looked down and rested his chin on Nicole's head. He said, “I will punish you well later.”
Jarrod's voice was loud enough for Roscoe to hear. He looked back.
Jarrod had his head down, so he didn't see it. But Nicole does. And he saw in Roscoe's eyes that his heart was broken. It was like a burning heart forcibly pressed to the bottom of a deep pool and sealed in ice.
Thinking of this, Nicole shuddered. His body became cold and stiff in an instant.
Jarrod felt this change. He tilted Nicole's head to look at him. The corners of his lips twitched before he asked, “What are you thinking about?”
This time, the elevator doors closed.
That's when Nicole came to her senses. He stared at Jarrod, and the corners of his lips lifted. "I'm thinking about how to kill you."
Jarrod seemed pleased by her words. He put her down, pressed her against the elevator wall, and pushed her lightly with his long legs.
He said ambiguously: "You can start killing me now."
Leaning against the elevator wall, Nicole looked him straight in the eye and said, “How boring, Jarrod. Letting yourself die too easily is no fun.
A light flashed in Jarrod's eyes. The corners of his lips curled up into an evil smile. He said hoarsely, “So what will be interesting?”
Nicole lowered her head. He didn't say anything and just smiled. He thought Jarrod behaved so arrogantly and above the law. Then, she would let him be defeated by what he despised most. She would let him face justice in the sun and he would never be able to turn around again.
Jarrod must have realized he was thinking about something. He raised his hand and pinched her chin. His eyes narrowed dangerously. “Nicole, what are you up to?
Nicole's red lips curved into a mocking, disdainful smile. "Because?
Are you afraid?
Jarrod remained silent, his eyes narrowed as his gaze met Nicole's, engaging in a silent contest for a few seconds.
His lips barely moved as he whispered, “I'm worried you're not wild enough. Whatever your plan is, whether it's finishing me off or pushing me to the limit, I'll play along.
Once he finished, he quickly lowered his head, pressing his lips against hers intensely. It felt like the relief of rain after a long drought, that familiar tenderness enveloping him completely. In that instant, he lost all sense of reason!
The person Jarrod had longed for for over five years was truly there, in his embrace, under his kiss, and nothing felt more comforting than that.
Jarrod closed his eyes instinctively, submerging himself in that sensation.
Unexpectedly, Nicole didn't pull back, her lips parting just enough to allow her tongue to slide inside.
At such an invitation, he lost control and their mouths and tongues intertwined as he pulled her closer, pressing her firmly against him.
Then the elevator rang and the doors opened.
