Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 397
? ? ? ? ?
Raegan, however, remained unconvinced. Mitchel had left an indelible mark on him as a dominant and rude person. And right now, she had no interest in reasoning with him or entertaining his nonsense.
"OK. Whatever you want. Can you please take me back now? Raegan demanded.
Mitchel raised his head and replied, "Not now."
Raegan's anger surged inside her. It seemed like he had been wasting his saliva on a stubborn and stubborn person!
«I'm already fed up! Liar!" Raegan pushed him away and tried to jump out of the car.
Luckily, Mitchel had quick reflexes and managed to stop her in time. He held her firmly and looked into her eyes. «Don't rush.
"We have reached our destination."
Raegan looked out the window and realized they were parked in front of an upscale club. He looked at Mitchel suspiciously and asked, “Why are you bringing me here? "I'm not going to go in with you."
"Don't worry. I won't do anything to you. There is someone within the club that interests you,” Mitchel responded calmly.
"Who could it be?" Raegan asked, still suspicious.
Mitchel finally loosened his grip. "Let's go in and find out."
Raegan looked at him skeptically, wondering if he was playing some kind of prank on her.
Mitchel sensed his doubt and his expression darkened. "If I really wanted to do something to you, would I need to go through all this trouble?"
Raegan couldn't help but become even angrier. How dare he look at her like she was giving him a hard time on purpose? If he hadn't been constantly harassing her, she wouldn't be so suspicious of his motives.
Seeing the anger in Raegan's eyes, Mitchel quickly explained, "Don't worry. “I’ll take you home after this.”
With her confidence, Raegan managed to rein in her temper. If he kept his word, he wouldn't mind taking a look inside the club. After all, she was sure Mitchel wouldn't hurt her, even though he could be quite obnoxious at times.
Without further ado, Raegan followed Mitchel to an upstairs room.
They took their seats and a waiter served drinks and dessert. When the waiter left, he closed the door behind him, leaving the two of them alone in the small space.
Their seats were so close that Raegan could detect the subtle fragrance of Mitchel's suit. Feeling a little uncomfortable, she tried to move away, but he grabbed her wrist firmly and pulled her closer.
The next second, Raegan nearly stumbled into his arms. He pushed him away and, with obvious anger, demanded: "What the hell do you want?"
Ignoring her anger, Mitchel grabbed her shoulder firmly and said calmly, “Wait and see.”
As soon as he said those words, the large curtain of the private room was suddenly drawn aside, revealing that they were in two adjoining rooms.
In the next room sat a woman with long hair cascading over her shoulders. She was wearing a white dress that showed off her slender legs. Her outfit made her look vulnerable.
Raegan was taken aback by the sight before her.
A burly bodyguard dressed in black stepped forward and turned the chair to reveal the woman's face.
Seeing him, Raegan's eyes shot open. The woman sitting there was none other than Lauren.
However, Lauren's appearance was far from what Raegan had expected.
Lauren's face showed signs of a recent ordeal. His nose and chin had evidently been injured during a fight. He had not sought medical attention, which had led to inflammation and drainage. His injuries looked quite concerning.
Raegan remembered hearing about Lauren a few days ago.
Following the incident at the press conference, several wealthy women whom Lauren had wronged banded together, offering a reward to locate Lauren. They swore revenge on Lauren once they found her.
Lauren had been in hiding since she heard the news, and her whereabouts remained unknown.
Raegan couldn't help but feel taken aback. Why would Mitchel take her to see Lauren?
The last time Lauren had incited others to attack Janey, Raegan had exposed those incriminating videos to teach Lauren a lesson.
Raegan was not inherently a vengeful person. Lauren had already faced the consequences of her actions, so Raegan had no intention of pursuing the matter further.
As Raegan contemplated this, she raised her head, coincidentally at the same time Mitchel lowered hers. Her lips accidentally brushed his chin, making Raegan blush. She tried to move away, but thanks to Mitchel's quick reflexes, he grabbed her from behind.
Mitchel lowered his head and his thin lips came tantalizingly close to hers. His warm breath brushed against her skin, but he made no other movement.
"Are you curious to know what happened?" he asked in an amused tone.
Feeling his warm breath on her ear, Raegan turned her face and replied, “Get away from me.”
"Understood". Mitchel released his grip on her and asked softly, "Would you like to hear the story?"
Just then, the tape sealing Lauren's mouth was removed. However, it seemed that the bodyguard had been too forceful, causing his lips to bleed. The cracked corners of his mouth only added to his disturbing appearance.
Seeing Mitchel and Raegan's closeness, Lauren gritted her teeth and a flash of resentment flashed in her eyes.
But the next moment, Lauren put on a pitiful expression and asked in a fearful tone, "Mitchel, why did you bring me here?"
Mitchel gave Lauren a cold look and said, "You are aware of your actions."
In a state of alarm, Lauren couldn't understand what Mitchel was implying.
However, he was always skilled at deception. Acting innocently, he said, “I haven't done anything. It's her fault. "He even edited the video to accuse me at the press conference recently."
While pointing at Raegan and twisting the truth, Lauren exclaimed, “Mitchel, you have to understand that this woman is malicious! If you keep her around, she'll end up ruining your life!
