The sky was already dark and gloomy, but Mitchel's handsome face was still alive. He really stood out in any situation. Even passers-by were stunned by his face. They couldn't help but look at Lauren with envy.

As Raegan's van headed toward the bridge, the snow had already gotten heavier.

The bridge was new, so there were only a few vehicles in the area.

Raegan felt so exhausted that she closed her eyes, wanting to rest.

Suddenly, a very bright light shone in the opposite direction, pointing at the van.

The driver swerved the wheel, making the tires screech.

What happened next was terrifying. The driver lost control of the van and it plunged into the guardrail.

A loud bang echoed across the empty road. It was piercing to the ears.

The next second, the van was dangling from the bridge. The front end was severely damaged and the driver had been crushed by the guardrail. He died instantly.

Fortunately, Raegan was in the back seat and was wearing her seatbelt securely fastened. She was not ejected from the vehicle. However, she was trapped in the seat.

The driver in front received a severe blow in the accident. As a result, his blood splattered everywhere and even reached the back seat.

Raegan lay in a pool of blood. His forehead was cut by broken glass, his face was drenched in crimson, and his head was spinning.

The van crashed into the railing, rendering the bridge unusable.

Meanwhile, inside the sleek black car, Lauren suddenly felt a sharp abdominal pain. She realized that she was having a miscarriage.

“Mitchel, my stomach hurts,” Lauren moaned.

Frowning, Mitchel immediately radioed the occupants of another vehicle that had crossed the bridge, telling them to stop and wait.

Then he got out of the car, cradled Lauren in his arms, and crossed the bridge.

The front of the van began to burn.

Despite the searing pain and dizziness, Raegan caught a glimpse of someone through the window.

“Mitchel, help!” Raegan wanted to scream, but no sound escaped her lips. Weakness had left her without the strength to open her mouth.

With all the strength he had left, he extended his bloody hand towards the nearby glass.

“Mitchel, help… Our baby…”

Unfortunately, all Raegan could do was watch Mitchel walk away with Lauren in her arms. In the end, she could only close her eyes in despair.

«The bodyguards who were with her just called. "They said that Mrs. Dixon had gone to a studio this afternoon to take some photos and then she disappeared."

Mitchel's face darkened and he asked in a grim tone: "What study?"

«The same one in which you had taken the wedding photos.»

Hearing those words made Mitchel's heart skip a beat. The revelation left him with an unsettling feeling.

"Have you checked the surveillance footage?" Mitchel asked urgently.

"Yes, I have." Matteo retrieved his phone and handed it to Mitchel.

«It seems that Mrs. Dixon had planned this. "He changed his outfit for something similar to what we were looking for this afternoon."

Aside from their vehicles, there was another black van in the vicinity when Raegan disappeared, as seen in the recording on Matteo's phone.
