They soon arrived at Serenity Villas.

Raegan, looking at the once familiar place, nervously uttered, “I want to go home.”

Mitchel turned to her, his voice devoid of emotion. "You're in your house," he stated flatly, intimidating her with his penetrating gaze.

Raegan tried again: “Mitchel, can I come back alone?”

Mitchel remained silent, his eyes icy and unyielding.

Mitchel led Raegan upstairs and gently guided her to the bathtub.

He turned on the faucet and carefully removed her clothes. His actions focused on washing away the blood and any trace of Henley.

Raegan remained motionless, her body rigid with tension. She didn't resist, afraid of Mitchel's unpredictable reactions.

Mitchel emptied the bathtub, having washed away Raegan's blood stains.

Then he turned on the faucet again to fill the bathtub.

The water slowly rose as Mitchel's gaze met Raegan's.

Do you have something to tell me, Raegan?

Raegan, taken aback by his question, struggled to understand what he was asking her.

She doubted he knew about her pregnancy, but thinking about it, she simply shook her head. "No," he said.

Mitchel's eyes darkened. "Are you sure you're not hiding anything from me?"

Raegan remained silent, her lips pressed together.

Mitchel clenched his fists, visibly trying to control his emotions.

Henley's last words echoed in his mind. "If I die, please take care of Raegan and the baby in her womb."

The baby? Was Raegan pregnant with Henley? Was Henley begging him to take care of her baby?

Mitchel's heart hardened as he looked at Raegan, who feigned calm.
