Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 22
Chapter 22:
? ? ? ? ?
«Just a little. "It doesn't hurt as much now," Raegan answered honestly.
In fact, he lied.
It wasn't just a little pain. It had hurt him so much that he didn't think he would forget it anytime soon. Taking all that without anesthesia was hell.
The pain had passed through her entire body and had torn her inside. If he cried now, he would be justified.
Just a little? Mitchell doubted it.
I knew I had a very low tolerance for pain. Even the first time he had sex with her, they had to do several tests because she wouldn't stop crying because it hurt.
Mitchel made sure to do enough foreplay before penetrating her so that she wouldn't resist while crying in pain.
At this moment, Raegan's face was pale. Dark strands of hair stuck to his forehead and temples. She looked as pitiful as a withered rose on a hot summer afternoon.
A few lines appeared on Mitchel's forehead as he looked at her. He wanted to say something comforting, but the words stuck in his throat.
The veins in his clenched fists burst and his bones almost crackled.
The bastard who hurt Raegan deserved a miserable death!
Mitchel's grim expression did not go unnoticed by Raegan. She thought he was just upset because the divorce had to be delayed.
His right hand was bandaged like a mummy and there were other bruises.
If she went to the Dixon family house looking like this, Kyler would be very worried about her. She had to wait until she was completely healed before going to explain her decision to divorce to him and Luciana.
«Don't worry. It's nothing serious. I'm sure my wounds will heal in a few days. When I recover, I will go talk to your mother. Can…"
Raegan's statement was cut off when her chest suddenly collided with a hard but warm chest. Mitchel had held her in his arms with gentle strength.
«Don't say anything. “Let me hug you,” he said, resting his chin on the top of her head.
Raegan was stunned.
She melted into his arms as she thought he cared about her.
But the next second, she laughed at herself.
How could he care about her when his heart was only for Lauren? This hug was nothing compared to what he did for that woman.
It was undeniable that she would never have been able to get close to Mitchel, much less marry him, if Lauren hadn't gone abroad.
It had all been a coincidence. It just so happened that she was favored by her grandfather and ended up marrying Mitchel.
Anyone who had a puppy for two years would become attached to it.
The same thing happened with a human being.
Raegan made a mental note not to get too comfortable with his kindness.
I could pull the blanket over her and she would be back to square one.
"You're crushing me, Mitchel," Raegan choked out, burying her head in her arms.
His pleasant aroma enveloped her, making her addicted to his embrace.
But his reason told him to stop.
She didn't want him to touch her like that since they were getting divorced.
Mitchel let go of her a little. He kept putting his arms around her, as if he was afraid they would take her away.
Several minutes later, Matteo entered the room to inform them that the discharge procedures had been completed.
The doctor had certified that Raegan could go home, as she had objected to an infusion for the sake of the baby she was carrying.
Fortunately, the wounds were not deep into the tendons or veins, so it would be easy for him to heal at home.
When Mitchel finally broke the hug, he slid his right arm around her back and gently lifted her up.
Raegan almost jumped. She pushed him away, embarrassed to feel Matteo's gaze on her.
"Don't move."
Sensing what he was up to, Mitchel warned him in a voice that left no room for objection.
Raegan wasn't as strong as before due to her injured hand, so she didn't let go of him. A few seconds after he stopped struggling, something occurred to him.
The hospitals were flooded with people and they could stop and look at them if Mitchel continued carrying her in his arms and left the room. I didn't want to be the center of attention.
With his heart pounding and his face flushed, he whispered, “Put me down. "I can walk."
His right hand hurt, not his legs.
"No". Mitchel directly refused and added a threat for good measure.
"If you resist even a little, I'll kiss you."
Raegan's cheeks burned. He fell silent and bit his lower lip.
“Tsk!” Mitchel exclaimed in a low voice, "Are you that afraid of me kissing you?"
Raegan was speechless. He imagined putting his bandaged hand in her mouth. How could he be so talkative all of a sudden?
Along the way, Raegan buried her head in his chest like a baby scared by lightning.
His behavior softened Mitchel's heart. He carried her to the car and gently put her in it.
During the ride, Mitchel's phone rang.
Raegan saw it was a call from Lauren.
Mitchel answered the call and said a few words. Their conversation made Raegan uncomfortable. Mitchel could never ignore Lauren's calls.
Hurt, she held her bandaged hand and closed her eyes, not wanting to think about it again. It was just an act, but she soon fell asleep.
Mitchel's heart filled with warmth as her head fell onto his shoulder.
He stayed still so as not to wake her.
When they got home, he took her to the bedroom.
Matteo waited outside for Mitchel before reporting, "Mr. Dixon, they've released that guy."
Mitchel's weak smile instantly turned into a deep frown. After telling the maid to take care of Raegan, he turned on his heel and stormed out.
His black luxury car stopped at Siren's door minutes later.
Siren was a famous sauna club in Ardlens.
Mitchel unbuttoned the collar of his shirt and cracked his knuckles as he walked.
With frozen eyes, he asked, "Information?"
«The man's name is Jeff. He made a bet with a friend to steal a bag just for fun. His father owns this place. He has contacts with some senior officials in the police department. "With a false document of mental illness, he was released this afternoon."
In one of the building's many rooms, Jeff was bragging to his friends about his race today.
«Guys, you have no idea! I have never seen such a cool girl.
Everything about her turned me on. Luckily, the lawyer secretly gave me his phone number. It may be hard on the outside, but I bet it's soft and sweet on the inside. "I have to try it."
Bang! The door was kicked open.
Mitchel strode into the room. He took off his jacket and tossed it into his assistant's hands. His eyes scanned the room and landed on a blonde guy.
“Jeff, right?”
His face was tense and the air around him was cold.
Jeff stared at him and nodded his head like a cartoon character. But when he remembered that this was his domain, he bellowed: "Who the hell are you? How dare you break in…”
His words were cut off when he hit his forehead with an ashtray.
Instantly he started bleeding.
When he held his forehead and saw that his hand was stained with blood, he screamed in pain.
"What the devil! "You hit me!"
He pointed to his friends and rebuked them: “What are you waiting for?
Have you gone blind? Come on, guys!
Several figures jumped to their feet. They looked at Mitchel menacingly. Before they could take a step closer, two suited bodyguards appeared in front of Jeff. They hit and kicked him unceremoniously.
The bodyguards were trained for it. As a result, his blows could not be dodged, much less endured.
Jeff's miserable screams echoed through the room.
Jeff's friends, scared to death, fell to their knees. They trembled and asked for mercy: «This has nothing to do with us. We haven't done anything wrong. Please let us out."
Mitchel scoffed. He lit a cigarette, held it between his teeth, and turned his head nonchalantly.
Jeff's friends turned a deaf ear when he called them snitches. To save their heads, they crawled and rolled toward the door and ran away.
Everyone cursed their luck and wondered what Jeff had done to attract the harbinger of death.
Jeff, now looking like he'd been hit by a car, struggled to say each word clearly as he cursed, “Fuck you! Wait until my father arrives. "I'll skin you alive."
Hearing this, Mitchel raised his eyebrows and suddenly laughed.
Matteo knew what was coming next. He turned around and ordered, “Go call Jerry.”
Soon Jerry, the owner of the Mermaid, arrived. He almost had a heart attack when he saw his son lying on the ground with all kinds of injuries on his body.
Jerry ran to hug Jeff and roared, “Who did this to my son? My God! I can't stand it. How the hell did this happen?
Seeing his father, Jeff raised his head as snot dripped from his nose. He pointed to the man behind him and shouted with his mouth twisted to one side: “It's him… It's the man who did this to me. “I want you to beat him to death right now.”
Jerry looked, only to find a man smoking with an air of arrogance. Even his standing posture was like that of a king.
Never in a million years did he think that someone would be so arrogant to come to his territory and hit his son.
Jerry scoffed and beckoned, “Come in now! Give him a good welcome from me.
