At the restaurant, Raegan and Henley were in the middle of their meal.

None of them spoke. It was as if they were focused on each other's food.

Suddenly, a violinist came to their table and started playing.

Raegan listened quietly, thinking it was the restaurant's marketing strategy.

After the violinist played the song, she nodded satisfied and thanked him.

Suddenly, the violinist magically produced a large bouquet of red roses and handed it to Raegan.

Raegan was stunned. He stared at the bouquet without picking it up.

The violinist noticed and said: “Miss, congratulations! You are one of the lucky clients chosen for our second anniversary promotion. These beautiful roses are for you.

Since the bouquet was part of the restaurant's event, Raegan no longer hesitated. He took it.

At this moment, Henley suddenly stood up, walked around the table and approached her. Then he took out a jewelry box from his pocket and opened it. Inside was a sparkling diamond bracelet.

He asked her in a soft voice, "Raegan, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Raegan was taken aback, not understanding what was happening.

Why was Henley suddenly asking her to be his girlfriend?

Suddenly, all the customers in the restaurant clapped and cheered, “Say yes! Say yes!"

Raegan was so embarrassed she wanted to dig a hole and hide.

He asked quietly, “Henley, what are you doing?”

I wanted to ask him what kind of drama he was trying to act out. He didn't even inform him beforehand.

Henley raised an eyebrow slightly. He said half jokingly, “Don't you understand? "I want you to be my girlfriend."

"That?" That's when it dawned on Raegan.

He hurriedly waved his hand.

"No, I can't."

Henley's eyes darkened slightly. He sighed softly.

“Raegan, that nine o'clock woman has been following me from abroad to here.

I want him to know that I have a girlfriend, so he stops bothering me. Can you help me?

“Henley, I…”

Raegan didn't like lying. Last time, she only agreed to pretend to be Henley's girlfriend because she had no other choice.

Now, he was asking her to do it again. She felt like it was already a heavy burden for her.

Raegan was still hesitating. But the cheers around them did not stop.

He also noticed that the woman of nine seemed to be looking at them intently.

Suddenly, he found himself in a dilemma.

But amidst the cheers, Raegan occasionally heard some boos from the audience. He turned his head and saw Aldo, who had mocked Henley earlier. He booed them with disdain.

Henley looked down and smiled contemptuously.

«If it's really difficult for you, forget it. "Don't force yourself."

After saying this, he put away the jewelry box and stood up stiffly.

Seeing this, Raegan's heart instantly softened.

Henley had helped her a lot. Now, I was just asking him for a small favor. It didn't seem reasonable to deny him.

Plus, I didn't want Henley to look bad in front of a trash like Aldo.

He grabbed Henley's arm and quickly whispered, "Okay."

Henley's eyes lit up immediately. He knelt down and gently placed the bracelet on Raegan's wrist.

“Raegan, I want to lock you up for the rest of my life.”

It was then that Raegan realized that the bracelet was shaped like a padlock. She didn't know if it was just her imagination. But when Henley said those words, there seemed to be coldness in his eyes. But it was so fleeting that it was not easily discernible.

When she looked at him closely, she saw that his handsome face was still as warm and affectionate as ever.

It was as if those words and expressions had never existed.

The doubts in Raegan's heart had not yet dissipated when he suddenly saw a tall and familiar figure at the door of the restaurant.

It was Mitchel, standing and dominant.

His cold eyes were fixed on her, and she felt his gaze pass through her.

The way he looked at her made her feel like she had done something shameful.

Instantly, the air in the restaurant seemed to grow thin.

Before Raegan could react, Henley suddenly hugged her.

Raegan was scared. Instinctively she tried to push him away to free herself. But unfortunately, he hugged her so tightly that she couldn't even move him.

It seemed like Henley hugged her in response to the crowd's cheers.

Then he whispered in her ear: "Raegan, just a moment."

Raegan's body stiffened. His breath was filled with a completely unfamiliar and refreshing sense of fragrance. It wasn't unpleasant, but it made her instinctively repel it.

Mitchel's gaze into the distance seemed to create a large hole in her body, making her feel uneasy.

Fortunately, Henley didn't hug her for a long time. He soon released her.

Henley obviously wanted to take Raegan's hand, but she dodged it by grabbing the bouquet of flowers.

Henley noticed, but he didn't show it on his face. He pretended to be calm and said, "Let's go."

Since Mitchel was standing at the door, there was no way for Raegan to avoid him, after all, this restaurant only had one door for customers. So he had no choice but to walk forward.

Henley seemed to notice Mitchel's presence and paused for a moment. Then he put his arm around Raegan's waist and greeted, “Mr. Dixon, you're here too. What a coincidence.

His words and actions were obviously provocative.

As he looked at them, Mitchel's eyes darkened. His body emanated an intense coldness.

He snorted coldly: “Do you enjoy taking control?”

The contempt in his words made Raegan clench her fists.

Mitchel turned and stared at Raegan. He deliberately asked, "Do you want to sleep with me tonight?"

Instantly, Raegan's face turned as pale as a sheet.

He must have waited here deliberately to humiliate her.

She exclaimed angrily, “How can you be so shameless?”

Mitchel curled his lips coldly.

"It seems that you have forgotten our intimate moments in the car and in the hospital room."
