Love Unbreakable by Bank Brook -
Chapter 155
? ? ? ? ?
When Raegan saw who was in front of her, her expression changed abruptly. He chose to act as if he hadn't noticed Mitchel's presence and headed upstairs.
Mitchel blocked his path, his hands stuffed casually in his pockets, motionless as if he were a statue.
"Who just sent you?" Mitchel asked with a grim expression.
“That's none of your business,” Raegan replied coldly.
Sensing his anger, Mitchel decided to change the subject and asked, "Why did you move?"
Raegan was momentarily speechless upon hearing his question. However, he decided to avoid it to try to climb the stairs.
But then Mitchel grabbed her wrist and said in an unfriendly tone, "We need to talk."
His touch reminded Raegan of memories of the night before and made her stiffen.
He pulled his hand away and demanded, “Let go of me.”
Although Mitchel's heart hurt, he agreed. However, he stood in front of the door and blocked his way.
He asked quietly, “Raegan, can't you at least tell me why you moved?”
“Why should I tell you?” Raegan asked, her confusion mixed with annoyance. She couldn't understand how he always managed to locate her, wherever she went.
He took out his phone and showed a photo, in a sarcastic voice, as he said to Mitchel: "Mr. Dixon, do you know this divorce certificate?"
Unexpectedly, Mitchel's face darkened when he saw the photo.
He never thought that she would save a photo of his divorce certificate on her phone to wield against him at any time.
It was a ruthless movement that had a deep impact.
Mitchel's heart broke. He looked at her and said, "Raegan, don't do this to me."
"I tell you the same thing." Raegan's use of the word only seemed to create further distance between them.
«We are already divorced. Mr. Dixon, I don't understand why you keep acting like this. Is it for fun? Is the Dixon Group about to go bankrupt? Why are you so idle?
Mitchel was speechless with anger.
Raegan turned and headed up the stairs, Mitchel following close behind.
She stopped, looked at him and said, "Stop following me."
But Mitchel stood his ground, looking her in the eyes with determination.
As the elevator doors opened, Raegan entered. He looked Mitchel straight in the eyes and warned him, "If you continue to follow me, I will have no choice but to call the police."
Without hesitation, he pressed the elevator button.
As the doors were about to close, a hand pushed them, forcing them back open.
Mitchel's handsome face exuded cold determination. He wasted no time, pressing Raegan against the elevator wall and kissing her passionately.
Her lips were delicate and her waist was too thin. Mitchel hugged her and kept a safe distance from the elevator walls, afraid that the cold would hurt her.
He hugged her and she had no choice but to tilt her head so that their kiss would deepen.
Raegan couldn't resist his kiss and trembled.
Suddenly, the elevator rang and opened.
Outside, an old woman saw them and quickly turned around. He muttered, “Young man, can't you do that at home? "There is a security camera in the elevator."
Raegan snapped back to reality and pushed Mitchel away. It was a quick and effective way to end the passionate kiss.
When their eyes met, a slight smile graced Mitchel's lips. However, an unsatisfied longing tugged at his heart, urging him to hold her to his chest.
"Your lips and your body still remember me," he said confidently.
"And what does that prove?" Raegan asked angrily.
Mitchel's strength left him no choice but to rest his hand on his chest as he tried to remain calm.
"You still love me," Mitchel declared firmly.
"I don't love you anymore, Mitchel."
«But I love you. "Let me love you," he said as he hugged her tightly and nuzzled her neck with his head.
«Give me another chance, Raegan. "Don't be so cruel to me."
Mitchel pleaded.
Despite his arrogance, he humbled himself in the midst of this endless pain of living without Raegan.
Tears welled in Raegan's eyes, not out of feeling, but because she realized she had lost too much.
She had been waiting for so long for him to confess what he felt for her. They were already divorced, but he finally told her that he loved her. This wasn't the worst. What hurt her most was the loss of her unborn baby.
Heaven knew how much I longed to see that baby grow and hear him talk.
However, it could never be.
"It's too late to say you love me."
She wouldn't love him anymore, and she wouldn't give him another chance.
What's more, he wondered if he had ever truly loved her.
Mitchel had been born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Did you know what love was?
In his opinion, his affection had been more of possessiveness and reluctance since she had plotted to end their marriage and decided to no longer love him.
“It's not too late, Raegan. As long as you give me a chance, it will never be too late,” Mitchel insisted.
But Raegan, unimpressed by his words, calmly replied, “Mitchel, do you enjoy it when others don't love you? I will never love you again and I will not give you another chance. I have told you for the umpteenth time.
Only a fool would repeat the same mistake, and she was determined not to fall into that trap again.
Why would he give her another chance to hurt her again?
He had endured enough pain once, and he had no intention of reliving it.
Mitchel's heart ached at his indifference. He held her firmly by the shoulder and looked at her intently.
"Raegan, I won't allow it," he declared, refusing to accept her decision not to love him.
Raegan felt exhausted by his persistence and loosened her stance.
«Why do you insist so much, Mr. Dixon? A divorce serves to free us from each other's lives and allow us to move on. You are a rich man and you have no shortage of women around you. Why are you doing this?
"I don't want anyone else."
Veins bulged on the backs of Mitchel's hands as he stared at Raegan, desperately searching for a trace of love in her eyes.
But Raegan's eyes remained cold and unyielding.
The pain in his heart grew deeper, as if a cold dagger was piercing his chest.
He felt like he was about to lose his sanity. If it weren't for the slightest shred of reason he had left, he could have locked her away and kept her by his side.
In a last attempt, he told her firmly: "I only want you."
Raegan looked at him and replied with a cold grimace, "But I don't love you anymore."
