Chapter 1508:

Jarrod considered the situation. “Let our lawyers deal with your marriage to Doreen. It’s time to end it.” It was clear that Roscoe had outlived his usefulness to the Watts family. Given Miguel's ruthless character, it was crucial to quickly ensure Doreen's safety.

Alec agreed. “I’ll take care of it.”

“But…” Alec hesitated. “Doreen’s mother came by again, but I told her you weren’t in the office, so she left.”

“Okay,” Jarrod replied, his tone unchanged. He seemed determined to teach Doreen a lesson this time.

Alec shared Jarrod's opinion. Although I have disliked Nicole, Doreen's reckless behavior was even more worrying. Jarrod had often had to intervene on Doreen's behalf. Now was the time to curb Doreen's recklessness.

Jarrod then ordered, “Keep an eye on Miguel. If he moves against Roscoe, make sure Roscoe has an escape route.”

“What? What do you mean?” Alec exclaimed in shock. Jarrod had always intended to eliminate Roscoe. Why show mercy now?

“Sir, did you really eat what that woman cooked for you?” Alec asked, suspecting that Jarrod's judgment was impaired.

Even if they decided not to eliminate Roscoe, helping him was unnecessary. The real danger came from Miguel, Roscoe's grandfather, not from them.

“Enough talk. “Follow my orders.” Jarrod waved Alec off.

Muttering under his breath, Alec left the room in frustration. He still had to relay Jarrod's instructions and tighten security around the Watts family.

After spending some time with Austin, Nicole left the house. She had learned from her friend that the woman who was staying near Roscoe was a witch who cast spells to manipulate parasitic insects.

This revelation sent a chill down Nicole's spine. Why was Miguel so harsh on Roscoe? Could it be that Roscoe wasn't his son?

With these questions in mind, Nicole parked her car near the Watts' house and waited in hiding. Hours later, she saw the witch dressed in red leaving the house alone. Nicole started the car and followed her.

The witch drove her car to a ruined factory. After parking, she looked around cautiously before entering.

Nicole made sure the coast was clear, put on a black baseball cap and got out of the car. She headed for the factory gate, looking around anxiously before quietly entering.
