"I'll take care of it," Nicole said calmly.
After a brief pause, Raegan cautiously advised, “Nicole, dealing with someone like Jarrod might require a gentler approach. “It might be less of a problem, especially since you are the mother of his child.”
Nicole simply replied, “I understand.”
It was clear to Nicole that Raegan's advice was motivated by genuine concern for her well-being.
“Be careful in everything you do. Remember that you have my support and that of the entire Dixon family. “We are here for you,” Raegan added reassuringly.
Raegan knew Nicole had some sort of deal with Jarrod and her own plans.
If sharing details was feasible, Nicole would do it. Otherwise, Raegan respected her privacy. True friendship was about caring about each other's well-being, not just exchanging gossip.
"I'm aware. If I need help, I'll ask for it, like I did today," Nicole said.
“It's not bothersome. Just make sure you take care of yourself,” Raegan encouraged.
“Don't worry. “I’ll do it,” Nicole replied, a little calmer.
After the call ended, Raegan was lost in thought when her phone rang again. “Hi, honey,” she responded.
Sitting in his spacious office, Mitchel felt his tiredness melt away at Raegan's soft voice. “What are you doing home?”
"I just spent some time with the kids. They're playing by themselves now," Raegan said.
“Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Let the nanny spend more time with the kids. They cling to you a lot, which can be exhausting,” Mitchel gently advised.
“I understand, sweetheart,” Raegan replied. “I should mention that I have a business trip to Madox next week.”
Having just returned to work after maternity leave, Raegan was eager to resume her career. Despite the family's considerable wealth, she found that working helped her maintain her mental health and staved off postpartum depression.
Mitchel was incredibly supportive of Raegan's decision to return to work, which Raegan deeply appreciated.
Mitchel was not like other men who, given their financial comfort, expected their wives to stay home and take care of the family.
It was he who had encouraged Raegan to return to work. Noticing Raegan's growing restlessness, Mitchel told her, "You can always go back to work if you want."
Raegan was touched by their support.
“Next week?” Mitchel thought for a moment. “I’ll rearrange my schedule and get you there.”
