Chapter 1465:

? ? ? ? ?

Vicki's confidence was based on her knowledge of Jarrod as a calculating businessman who always put financial interests first. She was convinced that he would not act against his own business imperatives.

Vicki continued: “If he did, he would plunge the Schultz Group, which he has carefully restored, back into chaos. He would be branded a traitor and a liability. Remember, the Hamptons stood by him at his lowest point. He may not agree with us on some issues now, but to commit a total betrayal of the Hampton family? That would be a heinous act of treason.”

The consequences of such an act would be disastrous, potentially ruining the Schultz Group. Who would willingly risk such a downfall? Surely only someone who had lost all reason.

Vicki couldn't contain herself and expressed her doubts out loud: "Unless Jarrod had lost his mind!"

Nicole's smile widened as she noticed Vicki's distress. "Vicki, I'm not sure what Jarrod's mental state is, but I can assure you that I'm pretty unhinged myself. Why would I need anyone else?"

“Jarrod won't let this happen,” Vicki declared, confident that Jarrod would intervene before Nicole could upset their family dynamic. If Jarrod stood by and allowed Nicole to wreak havoc on the Hampton family, then he might be just as unhinged as Nicole.

Nicole gave a scornful chuckle. “Whether he approves or not is none of my business. “I do what I want and no one can stop me.”

“You’re truly unhinged!” Vicki finally saw the worst parts of Nicole's temper. She realized that she had taken on someone truly dangerous, someone who could ruin her.

“Why do you think I kept you talking for so long?” Without warning, Nicole moved closer, locking eyes with Vicki.

“What are you planning to do?” Vicki staggered back, unsettled by Nicole's intense gaze, anxious about her next unpredictable move.

“Who's that over there?” Nicole diverted her attention, pointing at a police car that had just stopped nearby.

Vicki turned to see her brother, Lowe, being escorted from the car while in handcuffs.

“I… I have to…” Vicki gasped, bringing her hand to her mouth in shock. How could this have happened?

Vicki turned to Nicole. “Did you send the video from that night?”

Vicki had thought the original recording of that night had been destroyed, given to Wayne by Jarrod.

Wayne had asked Jarrod to assure him that the incident would not cause any problems, in exchange for the Hampton family not speaking again about the help they had given Jarrod in the past.
