Chapter 1445:

Nicole's anxiety eased when she saw the image. As long as Kamilah received medical attention, there was still hope for her recovery.
Considering Austin's delicate state of health, Nicole decided not to take him to the hospital.
Despite Austin's eagerness to accompany Nicole, he reluctantly agreed to stay in the villa.
Jarrod had acted quickly, organizing a security reinforcement and a team of trusted servants to ensure Austin's safety at the villa.
With these measures, Nicole felt more at ease leaving her son behind.
Before leaving, Nicole made a solemn promise to Austin. “Be brave, Austin. Mom will bring Kamilah back. “I promise.”
“Okay, Mommy, I'll wait for you,” Austin replied, his young voice filled with surprising strength.
Nicole found comfort in her son's words, feeling a sense of security that belied her tender age. It was as if Austin had grown up in an instant.
As Nicole headed for the door, she witnessed Vicki continuing to confront the police officers, vehemently refusing to comply with their orders.
In a fit of rage, Vicki grabbed one of the officers by the collar and said, “What's your badge number? You can't arrest anyone without a warrant. “I’m going to report you.”
The police officer who arrived was young and had short hair, which Nicole initially assumed he was a man. However, when the officer spoke, his voice was soft and feminine. He introduced himself humbly: “Police officer number 3210921. We are here to enforce the law and we need you to come to the station for questioning.”
Vicki scoffed. “What about arrest protocol? Are we supposed to take someone’s word as the truth?”
“If you cooperate with the investigation, won't everything be solved?” The young agent reached out to free herself from Vicki's firm grip on her shirt collar.
To the officer's surprise, as soon as she made contact, Vicki started screaming, "Don't touch me! Are you using this as an excuse to grope me?"
The officer was visibly frustrated. They had dealt with difficult people on a daily basis and were not in the business of customer service. There was no need to be overly polite to an uncooperative suspect. She replied curtly, “Ma’am, please act responsibly. We all wear body cameras, and I am a woman, too. “You have been holding me by the neck, and I simply wanted to release your grip to escort you out.”
The officer's words and tone infuriated Vicki. She was known as Miss Hampton in Ardlens, where everyone addressed her with respect. The officer simply treated her as if she was making a scene for no reason, while Vicki saw herself differently.
Vicki was furious. She shouted, “Can't you speak properly? Do you want trouble?”
