Chapter 1432:

? ? ? ? ?

Vicki said firmly, “You can walk her out. “We don’t need Mr. Schultz coming back to find a disturbance.”

The security guard remained stoic, refusing to acknowledge Vicki's presence.

Frustration set in and Vicki retorts, “Are you deaf? Do you even want to keep your job?”

"Who doesn't want to keep their job?" A new voice intervened, breaking the tension.

Vicki turned to find Jarrod, a sight that brought a wave of relief to her.

“Jarrod, Miss Lawrence wanted to see Austin. However, Austin is not feeling well today, so I declined her visit. Then, Miss Lawrence made a scene and even threatened me. “I have asked security to escort Miss Lawrence out of the premises,” he explained, his voice tinged with indignation.

Seeking comfort, Vicki reached out to take Jarrod's arm, but he pulled it away, leaving her feeling rejected.

Vicki stood stunned, a mixture of pain and anger flashing in her eyes.

Determination took hold of her. She vowed to teach Nicole a lesson.

“How? Did he threaten you?” Jarrod's tone turned icy.

Oblivious to the tension brewing, Vicki persisted with her charade: “Yes, not only did she threaten me, but she insisted on seeing Austin whenever she felt like it. “She even claimed that you couldn't stop her, much less me.”

Jarrod's attention shifted to the security guard, overlooking Nicole.

"Did you witness Nicole trying to hit you?" I have asked.

Vicki was taken back and then made a subtle signal to the security guard.

She trusted that she was the future mistress of the house and the guards would not be foolish enough to contradict her, especially with Jarrod present.

After all, she had already secured his loyalty by greasing his palms.

“No, we did not observe any such behavior. It was Miss Hampton who prevented your wife from entering,” the guard replied, dispelling Vicki’s hopes of taking advantage of the situation.

Vicki's mind raced as she tried to understand the situation.

She thought the security guard had misspoken. Surely he should address her as Jarrod's wife, not Miss Hampton.

Unaware of Jarrod's marriage to Nicole, Vicki revealed in her imagination. However, the title of Jarrod's wife delighted her.

Deciding to overlook the guard's mistake, Vicki coughed lightly and offered a gentle reminder: "Please address Nicole correctly. Her last name is Lawrence, not Hampton. Perhaps the security captain forgot to inform you."

The guards exchanged puzzled glances, treating Vicki as if she were talking nonsense. They had been sent here from the Schultz Group for a single day, with instructions to address Nicole as Jarrod's wife.

Confused by Vicki's insistence on a different name, they chose to ignore her and remained focused on their duty.

“Jarrod…” Vicki stepped closer again, expressing generosity. “Miss Lawrence probably just wants to see her son. Don’t blame her…”

"Roll!" A child's voice interrupted them.

Austin quickly ran off in his slippers, the nanny in vain pursuit.

"Austin, don't run..."

But Austin didn't stop. His face flushed with effort and determination as he ran towards Nicole, clearly distressed.
