“None of your business,” Raegan snapped, still fuming over Mitchel's earlier comments in the cafeteria. Those words had left her feeling humiliated.

She tried to let go of his hand, but he held her tighter.

Mitchel's eyes narrowed, giving off a dangerous glint.

"Are you not satisfied?"

Before Raegan could respond, he grabbed her chin and kissed her on the lips.

Grabbing her restless hand, he kissed her passionately, their lips and teeth colliding as if he intended to consume her very essence.

Raegan struggled involuntarily, but realized she was exhausted.

Fearing for the baby's well-being, she stopped resisting.

After what seemed like an eternity, as Raegan felt her tongue go numb, Mitchel finally let go.

Catching her breath, she finally summoned the energy to reprimand him: "Mitchel, have you lost your mind?"

His kisses were always so fierce, as if driven by a primitive desire.

Mitchel narrowed his eyes at her.

"I'm teaching you to speak."

In other words, he was warning Raegan that loose words came with a price.

The thought that she had dared to go with another man made him angry again.

Grasping her tightly, he issued a chilling warning: “If you ever dare to be with another man, I will chain you like a dog. Stop flirting with other men.

Raegan was taken aback. When had he flirted?

It wasn't entirely Mitchel's fault for thinking like that. Raegan's eyes were captivating and innocent, but they had a mischievous glint, as if they were beckoning someone closer.

Annoyed by his embrace, Raegan felt increasingly uncomfortable.

He frowned and said, "Let go of me."

Mitchel remained adamant. Leaning down, he kissed her again.

"No way".

Doubts about the paternity test tormented him. After her outbreak, she began to sense that something was not right.

Although conclusive results were still pending, he knew that whoever was pulling the strings would soon be exposed.

He had initially come to apologize to her, but events had gotten out of control.

He claimed he was disciplining her, but never once had he hurt her.

On the contrary, he went out of his way for her comfort.

Lowering his voice, with a touch of charm, he told her: “I was the one doing all the work. Weren't you the one who enjoyed it?

Mortified, Raegan pushed him away.

“How dare you!”

But Mitchel's grip tightened. He kissed her hair, caressed her cheek, and murmured, "I'm sorry. Can you stop pissing me off and confronting me?

Raegan paused, taken aback by his sudden change in tone.

He seemed to have perceived something strange in that test.

Raegan assumed he was trying to placate her, purely for the baby's sake.

«I'm not pissing you off. I know what I'm worth. "I will not overdo it," he replied.

It had been too long since I truly understood him. He calmed her down, not out of love, but out of possessiveness.

If she crossed his boundaries even slightly, he would withdraw his affections from her, making her pay for her supposed transgression.

Hope had long since left her heart for him.

He could no longer bear the indignities arising from his distrust.

I only wanted one thing. The divorce.

Mitchel caught a hint of sarcasm in his words. To begin with, I didn't expect immediate forgiveness.

He had angered her, so he had to win her back, no matter how difficult it was.

He kissed her forehead and declared: «I invite you. I will fix it for you in two days.

Once he discovered the culprit, that person would not go unpunished.

But Raegan was indifferent. Whatever the outcome, she just wanted to affirm the legitimacy of her baby.

Your baby deserved to come into the world with dignity.

He said, his voice tinged with apathy, "Once we figure this out, we should talk about divorce."

Mitchel was shocked. Moments before, they were locked in privacy.

The next second, she was coldly talking about ending her marriage.

His fury was rekindled.

Gritting his teeth, he roared.

Don't you feel anything, Raegan?

Did you not feel my restraint, all for you? And now you want to leave?

"Mr. Dixon, when did I ask you to serve me? You're imposing this on me. Are you not happy?

Raegan was now fully alert, impervious to his manipulative words.

Narrowing his magnetic eyes, Mitchel lowered his head and bit her neck, as if to dispel his frustration. However, he did it gently, wanting to get closer rather than hurt her.

He defiantly declared, "I will not divorce you and I never want to hear you say that word again!"

Raegan pushed back, stating flatly, “If that's the case, there's nothing left to discuss. Tomorrow I will clear things up with your grandfather.

"Have you lost your mind?" Mitchel's voice seethed with anger, his eyes flashing dangerously.

«I will not irritate him. I'll just tell him that I want a divorce.

That's all, nothing complicated.

Raegan's determination to divorce irritated Mitchel even more.

“Do you always have to be so defiant, Raegan?”

Feeling that further arguing would be futile, Raegan decided it was best to speak directly to her grandfather.

Seeing that he had made up his mind, Mitchel scoffed.

OK. OK. An icy smile crossed his lips.

«Then you are grounded. "You're not getting out of here."

Raegan's expression changed instantly.

Are you planning to lock me up again?

The word "again" made Mitchel jump. He had made similar threats in the past, but had never followed through on them.

But now he couldn't think of anything better. He would have to wait until he had taken care of things and could muster the energy to mess with her before releasing her.

But he didn't say those words. She had defied him too many times and he had to control her.

Regaining his composure, he stated flatly, “It's not about you. "I just want my family to be safe."

Hearing his twisted logic, Raegan's eyes turned red.

"Mitchel, even if we are a couple, you have no right to confine me to this ward!"

«Remember this, Raegan, we are married. And Henley is not someone you should associate with.

Just then, Mitchel's phone buzzed. He looked at it but didn't pick it up.

Raegan knew it was a call from Lauren.

«Why don't you distance yourself from Lauren? "She's no better," he replied.

Mitchel frowned.

"That's another story."

Raegan almost laughed. Didn't Mitchel have a closer relationship with Lauren than he ever had with Henley?

At least Henley had never gone too far, nor had he shown any particular interest in her.

But Mitchel had always treated Henley badly. And he claimed it was different.

“Very well, if you are so adamant about not getting divorced and it is not the same, then you will stay here with me in the hospital today.”
