Florence lay hidden in the dark underbrush, her anxious heart finally settling down...

The main reason she had urgently fled the hospital was to ensure that Parisa wouldn't go there. If she could just keep her away from Ludwik, she had succeeded!

It was already dark. She couldn't believe Ludwik hadn't left the country by now.

These two hadn't crossed paths!

As long as Ludwik hadn't seen Parisa's face, he would never be able to expose her. Even if he suspected something about Inko Group, he wouldn't be able to find any leads.

He must have gone to the Inko Tower today to snoop around, but Florence knew all too well that Inko Tower was impregnable. She couldn't even get close to the front gate during her first days in Germinia, and Ludwik, despite his capabilities, had hit the same wall. He would definitely seek out Phineas to learn about the conglomerate's situation.

Florence had thought of this too, so she had frantically threatened Cara to steal a phone last night, contacting Bryce in a race against time. They had to eliminate Phineas, the only one who knew and recognized Parisa, at all costs!

She was on edge, but Bryce had pulled through!

Now, with Ludwik gone back to his country, he couldn't interfere with her plans anymore.

Next, she just had to play a tragic role in front of Parisa, pushing all the blame onto Ludwik. Parisa would surely grow to hate him even more. Then, she would have no choice but to help her and Bryce fight against Ludwik and those scoundrels from the Whitney family. As she was lost in her vengeful plans...

Screech-!

A beam of car light approached from a distance, accompanied by the sound of a car abruptly stopping.

"Miss Florence!" Erik's booming voice cut through the trees.

"Florence?"

Parisa, with her graceful steps, quickly got out of the car, calling out as she searched.

Florence's expression changed slightly, her eyes flickering with guilt, but she quickly adjusted her demeanor. She dragged herself closer to the edge of a cliff and smeared the blood from her abdomen onto her face, creating a pitiful appearance.

Then she began to cry for help, "Mom... I'm here, I'm in so much pain, I passed out just now."

"Oh my God." Erik quickly found her with his flashlight and pointed her out to Parisa.

Parisa's expression turned grim, her brows furrowed as she grabbed Erik's arm and rushed through the woods, finding Florence in a pile of leaves at the edge of the cliff.

"Florence. Erik, help her up."

"Mom, sob... I thought I'd never see you again!" Florence cried weakly as Erik picked her up.

Parisa stepped forward, seeing her face covered in blood, her eyes filled with a cold shock, "Did that Ludwik hurt you?"

"That's not the half of it. He forcibly took my poor baby out, stole it, mom, you have to stand up for me! That devilish man, he must have been instigated by Whitney Sheldon. Mom, Whitney is inhuman! They won't treat my baby well... You have to make Ludwik's Lippert family go bankrupt, you have to help me get my baby back."

Florence seemed very emotional, clutching Parisa's arm, crying and angrily denouncing.

Parisa's brows slightly furrowed, seeing her in such a hysterical state, she felt sympathy but also a sense of unfamiliarity.

Her daughter's personality was so different from hers.

She rarely lost control or became hysterical; her inherent dignity prevented her from showing such ferocity.

Yet at this moment, Florence's face was full of ferocity and hatred, inciting her to seek revenge.

Although Ludwik deserved to die a thousand deaths, shouldn't she be inconsolable at the loss of her child?

This odd feeling made Parisa at a loss for comforting words.

She restrained her thoughts, still filled with concern for her child,

"Florence, stop crying for now, you can't be so agitated! Quick, let's take her back to Sanctum Mary Medical. On the way, you can slowly tell me what exactly happened these last few days?"

Parisa held Florence's hand, leading her back to the car swiftly.

Hearing they were heading back to Sanctum Mary Medical, Florence's expression subtly changed.

But she had already sent someone to scout out the hospital; if Ludwik hadn't left, her people would have informed her.

Now, all she could do was delay their return as much as possible during the car ride.

Florence kept complaining of pain and motion sickness, making Erik stop every few miles. Parisa, without overthinking, complied with her wishes, taking care of her emotional and physical injuries. Meanwhile, Florence concocted a story about the events at the hospital these past days and shared it with her.

By the early hours of the morning, the Mercedes van finally arrived at the entrance of Sanctum Mary Medical.

The foreign doctor from the emergency department had been waiting at the entrance. A stretcher was brought forward, and Florence was wheeled into the emergency room.

Florence looked back, seeing the stunningly beautiful Parisa in the night, talking to Erik about investigating the hospital incidents.

Florence clenched her fist tightly! Her phone had already received a message from her bodyguard; Ludwik had left the hospital in the afternoon, and they had bribed a hacker to erase the surveillance footage. All traces had been wiped clean.

Though relieved, she still feared Parisa's insight. What if she was extremely sharp?

She immediately interrupted Parisa, her eyes tearfully red, "Mom, can you come in with me first? I just lost my child here, and I'm terrified of this place."

Parisa looked at her helpless face, moved by pity, and nodded, coldly instructing Erik, "Use the security from our company to chase down that Ludwik in the woods where Florence was abandoned!"

"Mom, it's no use, Ludwik is full of tricks. He might have realized that I've recognized you as my family now, knowing I have support. He and Whitney will start to be wary. When he forced me into surgery, he even disgustingly said he'd take the child to use as a hostage, to control me later on."

Ludwik was up to no good, Parisa was sure of it. The scoundrel must have already taken the child back to his country, and heaven knows what he plans to do with the kid next. She had to act fast, to stop him before it was too late.

As these thoughts raced through her mind, tears began to stream down her face, turning her breaths into short, sharp gasps.

Parisa furrowed her brows and gently squeezed her hand, "Don't worry, Florence. That monster who hurt you won't get away with it. I promise, I'll find your child and bring them back. But first, you need to focus on getting better."

"Okay, mom, you have to believe me. I've been through so much pain this time!"

"I know, sweetie."

Dressed in a sharp suit, Parisa followed the doctor into the emergency room.

A dose of sedatives soon calmed Florence down.

After a thorough examination, the doctor reassuringly told Parisa, "The young lady doesn't have any facial injuries. The blood seems to be from her abdomen, probably got there during the struggle. There are some superficial scratches on her arms, looks like from branches. Apart from the complications with her abdominal surgery, there are no life-threatening injuries. She's been quite fortunate, all things considered."

Listening to the doctor, Parisa breathed a sigh of relief, yet something niggled at her. Why did this all seem so bizarre?
