Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 959 Extra Story 97 Of Aaron Fear

Staring at the clipping, Aaron gasped. He couldn't believe what he was reading. Finally, he saw the date the newspaper had been issued. His pupils began dilating slowly. So far, everything matched with the incident. As far as he could remember, his mother seemed to be disturbed by something during that period of time. There had been something wrong with her. It seemed like she was in a bad mental state as she always had been absent-minded in front of him, terrified and in great horror. Then Zoey's father stepped in to help her. They seemed to have covered something completely, as if nothing had ever happened. It was as if everything had been just for show-a farce. But that was the extent of his knowledge. Aside from that, he didn't really know anything that had been happening. As Aaron continued to think and jog his memory, his heartbeat began speeding up and his breath gradually became labored. 'My mother,' he started thinking to himself, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. 'Could very likely be the person who had caused the death of Ximena's parents. The thought shook him to his core. His thought was slowly eating him alive when his cellphone rang, and it pulled him back to reality. His eyes full of empathy, he took one last look at Ximena, who was sleeping in the bed, and hurriedly exited the room to answer the call.

"Your Highness," Ken's voice came through on the phone. "I've found one person who contacted Miss Mo a while ago."

"Hmm," Aaron answered in a low voice, his eyes still fixed on the paper on which the newspaper clippings were pasted. "Wait for me in the study."

As soon as he finished saying that, he hung up the phone and walked straight to the study. His hurried footsteps matched his racing heartbeat. It was the first time Aaron felt such a feeling.

When Aaron entered the room, Ken quickly could see that there was something wrong with him. His usual cold face was much, much sinister-looking. As far as Ken knew, such a look on Aaron's face usually forecast a bloody massacre. But then, since Aaron had taken over the Leng's Corporations, Ken had noticed that he actively restrains himself to a certain extent. 'I've not seen him like this since last year, 'Ken thought to himself, cautious.

He observed Aaron as he sat on the chair behind his desk. Wearing a serious face in order to match Aaron's, Ken walked towards him and handed him some high definition photos. While doing so, he said, "This is the person who contacted Miss Mo," he said, pointing to one of the people pictured. "Also, when this man talked to Miss Mo, Miss Zhuang and Miss Song were sitting at the next table."

After taking the photos from Ken, Aaron examined them carefully. Looking through them one by one, Aaron's eyes became colored with murderous rage. It was as black as a starless night.

To be honest, he had been waiting for them to make trouble for Ximena. That was why when they were staying low, he was surprised. But he knew that these old men were good at being patient. According to his understanding of their routine, they would not take any action until he was lax, his vigilance on the low.

So for several times, he had left loopholes as a bait and then waited for them to get hooked. However, they could not have been quieter, literally taking no action at all. He had thought that was because they wanted to be as cautious as possible since they knew it was difficult to deal with him. He had never thought that they would carry out their plan like this. Now that Ximena found out the true culprit of the accident, he and she were set to be mortal enemies.

'Alright!

Alright!

Alright!'

Aaron thought. His eyes were still colored with white hot rage. In a slow and cold voice, he said, "Now that they choose not to live a comfortable life... let me end all of this accordingly." Hearing that, Ken took a look at Aaron, lowered his head and answered, "Yes, Your Highness."

"You may leave now," Aaron said. Throwing the pictures on the desk, he took a deep breath, and leaned back on his chair. Picking up the paper on which the old newspaper clippings were pasted, he looked at the photo of his mother on it. As much as he tried not to, he could not help but laugh grimly, the corners of his mouth twitching.

Never in his life had he thought that he would believe in fate, but here he was now, being played by fate.

Unconsciously, he tightened his grip on the paper, which wrinkled up correspondingly. His sight was becoming increasingly deep, just like an ancient well whose bottom could not be seen.

It was not until a bit later that he gradually released his grip on the paper. His sight fell on the paper again. Once again, he looked over the different pieces of paper and found out that there were all kinds of news reports and public opinions about the accident. With a grim smile on his face, Aaron read them one by one. The newspaper clippings looked tidy and it seemed that Ximena had not had time to read them yet. If she had read them, she probably would have reacted more severely. The thought made Aaron's heart ache. Bang!

The desk shook as Aaron hit it hard with his hand. It created a loud sound, and it made everything on the table wobble.

Then, he sat still, taking huge, deep breaths, for a very long time. After what seemed to be an eternity, Aaron slowly raised his arm up, taking a glance at his wristwatch to check the time. Then, as if on cue, he took his cellphone out of his pocket and dialed a number. "Brother?!" Zoey's voice came through from the other end of the phone. It sounded that she was somewhat excited. "I have something to tell you. Where are you?" Hearing that, Aaron quickly got annoyed. Staring into the distance and saying in a cold voice, unfeeling voice, he said, "Where are you? I'm going to meet you."

"I've just left the banquet hall," Zoey answered, looking at a cafe in front of her. "I will wait for you at the cafe in front of the banquet hall."

"Hmm," Aaron answered and then hung up. He stood up and walked out of the room.

As soon as he walked out of the study, he paused slightly, turning his head to glance at Ximena's bedroom at the other end of the corridor. Complicated emotions once again rallied in his chest. It took him quite a while to move on from that position, as if processing things. Ultimately, he turned around, got out of the manor, and headed straight towards the cafe. The car sped in the night of QY Island. Finally, it stopped at the gate of the cafe.

Aaron got off the car and entered the establishment. Upon seeing him, the door greeter was visibly stunned for a moment. Obviously buckling, the waiter asked, "Mr. Leng, may I..." "Where is Zoey Song?" Aaron said in a cold voice, interrupting the waiter.

The waiter was not able to react right away. "Zoey Song..." he mumbled to himself. It wasn't long before he realized what he had heard and said hastily, "Please let me guide you to her table!" Zoey was sitting at a table in a corner, and the tables next to it were all unoccupied. Seeing Aaron, she waved her arm happily and winked at Vivi, who was sitting opposite to her.

Aaron didn't know Vivi was here until he arrived at the table. Taking a slight glance at her, he sat down and said to her in an indifferent tone, "I have something to talk to Zoey about. You can leave now."
