Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 509 Back To The Villa (Part Three)
"Lisa, let her in!" she heard an emotionless voice give the command.
She stood speechless for a moment before Brian hung up. She heard the restrained fury and even danger in his tone, although he tried to disguise these from her.
Putting the phone down, she went to get an umbrella and slipped out the door. Before Lisa could open the umbrella, rain splashed all over her skin. It chilled her to the bone, and she couldn't help but shiver. Hurriedly, she opened the umbrella and ran towards Molly. "Miss Xia!" Lisa called out loudly as the rain drowned out her voice.
Using every ounce of strength to stay upright, Molly was about to fall faint when Lisa rushed to her side. She tried to open her eyes under the heavy rain to see who had come to her rescue. Molly recognized Lisa, whom she had not seen for a long time. At the sight of her, Molly's eyes suddenly turned hot. Tears fell and mixed with the cold rainwater and dribbled down her mouth, leaving a bitter taste.
"Lisa, I want to see Mark!" Molly whimpered helplessly.
The heartbreaking plea squeezed Lisa's heart. She grasped Molly's ice-cold hands and said, "Come in! Mr. Brian Long is waiting for you inside." One hand holding the umbrella and the other wrapped around Molly, Lisa led her to the villa.
A drenched Molly stood distraughtly before Brian, biting her lips and staring at the man who stood rigidly in front of the window without saying a word. Brian had switched on the light in the previously unlit room. Now under the soft light, a sneer that formed at the corner of his mouth was visible.
She was familiar with the study. When she had moved into the villa to be Brian's bed slave, he had taken her there the first time he was sober, with a smiling Becky to greet them. It stunned Molly to have the past come back to mind so clearly. When she left the last time, she had never expected to return again. The discriminatory words picked up by her ears felt like an electric shock that coursed through her body. She was now hastily trying to block all the malicious words Becky had said to her then.
Anyone who woke up from a nightmare would never want to experience it a second time. But even as she shut and opened her eyes, Molly found herself standing in the same room.
With so many thoughts crowding her mind, Molly turned to look at the desk unconsciously. It surprised her to see the picture frame missing.
"Brian Long, I..."
"I don't talk to slovens!" a cold voice interrupted her. When Molly looked at Brian, he had already wiped out any emotion in his eyes.
She took a deep breath and said nothing. Shortly, Brian walked out of the study, his back rigid, and after pausing, Molly trudged along behind him. They entered Brian's bedroom, and somehow, Molly felt a little less uneasy with the familiar surroundings. She set her handbag down, went straight to the bathroom to remove her wet clothes and took a shower. Then, she took a night robe hanging in the bathroom and put in on as if she did this every day.
Everything here was familiar to her. Nothing had changed since that winter. But while the same things were there, the people had changed.
Hands in his trouser pockets, Brian glanced at the glass door of the bathroom and saw the outline of Molly's unmoving figure. He immediately knew she was psyching herself again to calm down before coming out. This woman now seemed much stronger, but at the same time, she was still a coward that she had to wrap herself with an illusive appearance.
Taking a deep breath, Molly had one hand on the bathroom doorknob, which she tightened then loosened again. She repeated the motion several times before finally gritting her teeth and opening the door.
Her bare feet stepped on the soft carpet, which felt like snow. Her ankles were a striking contrast to the brown carpet. Brian's robe was so long that it almost wrapped the entire length of her, except her feet.
Her hair was still wet but no longer drenched. Molly told herself that she needed to be brave to confront this man. Stepping forward, she asked, "Can we talk now?"
Raising his eyebrows at her boldness, Brian stretched out a hand towards Molly. She froze at the gesture. But Brian simply brushed away a strand of hair that he held to his nose for a sniff. "It's the same smell in my memory," he said softly. Grasping the front of the robe tightly, Molly wondered how he could behave this way under such grave circumstances.
She took a step back as her hair fell from Brian's finger. Slightly raising clear eyes, she originally planned to look imposing as she stared at the man, but admitted she was not brave enough to do so. So, she changed her tact slightly and demanded, "Brian Long, I want to see Mark!"
"Give me one good reason to let you do that!" he retorted.
A reason? He needed a reason to let her see her son?
The urge to curse this man was so strong that Molly felt her heart pounding so loudly. However, she restrained herself and controlled her anger. Clenching her teeth, she said slowly, "As Mark's mother, I have every right to see him. Besides, I can see him now!" It was past midnight, and based on the court's order, it was time for her to visit the little boy.
His thin lips broke into a cold smile. Speaking slowly to emphasize each word, he said, "Molly, you have never understood me!" Taking a step forward, he growled, "Whether you can see him or not depends on whether I agree to let you see him or not. So, let me see some good faith to help me decide." He challenged her.
"What kind of good faith do you want?" she said nearly breathless. Molly could not show this man that she was about to fall apart.
Brian shifted, so he stood haughtily before her and raised his eyebrows. Checking to see if Molly's expression had changed, he said with a sneer, "As I said previously, you divorce Spark, or marry me nominally. Either way will work."
She clutched at the robe again. Molly knew coming to the villa would only disgrace her, but she could not bear the pain of not seeing her son. So, she deceived herself into believing it would happen even if she knew the truth. As she heard Brian's condition, even her gums quivered in hatred. Molly screamed at him, "You are dreaming!"
But he was not to be cowed. He said, "Molly, I've stated my condition. The decision is now yours whether to accept it or not." He watched Molly's trembling body and his heart shook in pain, so without thinking, he offered, "Or, we can make a deal."
"What? What kind of deal?" she asked, hopeful, even knowing this would always favor Brian. Still, she had to try just to be able to see her son.
"You can see Mark," Brian offered. "And you can even ask for any other conditions," he added, looking at Molly's reaction.
Then he delivered the clincher. "If you sleep with me now!"000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
