Love Began with the First Meeting -
Chapter 1321 Extra Story 76 Of Edgar The First Time
Maggie's face blushed red in an instant. She knew what he had meant, but she wasn't expecting him to be so nonchalant about it. Not knowing how to respond, she claimed to be sleepy and shut her eyes, pretending to be dead asleep. "It will be six o'clock in one more hour..." Edgar smiled, glancing at the alarm clock on the bedside table.
"Uncle Three..." Maggie whimpered, "I have had a rigorous work out session with you all night long. I don't think I can climb a mountain today. Uncle Three, may I ask for a leave?"
Alas! Edgar thought that she was just playfully looking for trouble. He wondered if she was giving him signals by calling him in a sweet, seductive voice as she rubbed herself against his body. How could he not feel aroused?
However, Edgar didn't have the heart to disrupt this picture-perfect moment of an angel lying in his arms. At last, he had to let the girl go to sleep and let himself endure it. He had no choice but to stew in his own juice.
However, he didn't mind it at all. How could he? The woman he was in love with was sound asleep in his very arms. Edgar never thought that his happiness would be in the hands of another woman. Fortunately, that woman was where he wanted her to be. Eventually, he drifted off to sleep with Maggie in his eyes.
An hour later, his sleep was rudely interrupted by the ringing of his cell phone. The first thing he looked at was Maggie's discomforted face, so he rejected the call in a hurry. Edgar waited for Maggie to return to her peaceful state and then walked to the balcony to make a phone call.
"Edgar," William's voice came over the phone. "What are you doing?"
Edgar buried his face in his palms, expressing his frustration. Wilson might have told the senior military officer something as soon as he and Maggie left together yesterday. The fact that William called him now was an indication of his assumptions. He weighed out his options in his mind-Hi, Uncle William, I am in Maggie's dorm...' or 'Sir, I am in bed with Maggie.' What would her father think about that?
Needless to say, Edgar had no intentions of flushing his and her careers down the drain. "Nothing. Sir, what can I do for you?"
William wanted to ask more but he thought of Wilson's warning and laid his urges to rest. "The principal called me again to ask about your opinion. He wanted to know if you would allow them to add more courses for half a month. After all, you will be on holiday and won't be coming back until the exercise on the Dragon Island starts again." He sighed and added, "In fact, I don't want you to go there. Everyone's got their eyes on you now and I am afraid that you will run away to better offers. Although I know you don't want to leave Eagle, you've made it clear that you have no clear plans as of yet."
Edgar drifted off to his thoughts before he said, "I haven't come to a decision yet." Without a conscious thought, his hand brushed over the leaves of a plant in Maggie's balcony. There were different kinds of plants in every corner of Maggie's dorm, perhaps because they were easy to maintain without too much effort. The only uncommon plant there was the orange alocasia Edgar had given her yesterday. Since she didn't have an extra vase, they found a steaming pot to put it in for the time being.
Edgar showed a faint smile involuntarily. "I know. I am not comfortable letting other people make any decisions for me. All right then, sir, I am going downstairs to buy some food. I shall talk to you later."
When the General is away, some orders can be neglected. Edgar was not in the right state of mind to make such big decisions.
Taking Wilson's words into consideration, William realized that both Maggie and Edgar were adults and they deserved to be treated as such. He could end up with opposite results if he insisted on overstepping his boundaries. After hanging up, Edgar went back to the bedroom and glanced at Maggie's beautiful face before he put on his clothes and went downstairs. Edgar had a distinctively imposing gait which drew attention from the people around him.
In this small apartment area, most tenants saw each other frequently, either in the hallway or the elevator. As a result, he attracted a lot of attention since he was a stranger to them. Edgar's unique temperament attracted more people.
Edgar walked calmly and his glasses concealed his eyes, adding mystery to his already enigmatic appearance. He bought some fresh flour and groceries in the nearby shop. And before heading back to the dorm he picked up a crystal vase from the nearest flower shop. When he came back, Maggie was still sound asleep. After taking out the flour from the grocery bags, he mixed some of it with water. While he waited for the dough to be ready, he clipped the alocasia and then put it in the crystal vase. Feeling satisfied, he proceeded to take the rest of groceries out of the bags and put everything away neatly.
It wasn't until noon when Maggie was finally woken up by the rumbling inside her stomach. Needless to say, she was famished. She looked around in a trance and then sat up straight as she didn't see Edgar.
"Hmm..." Maggie sprang up on her legs and almost immediately felt weak, as though her body was about to fall apart. If the pain wasn't real, she would have thought that she had an erotic dream last night. 'But where is Edgar?'
Maggie started to get worried. After all, what happened last night seemed to be natural. Could it have been an accident? She decided to look for Edgar, but when she looked at herself in the mirror, her face flushed red at the sight of the marks he had left on her body. Suddenly, she heard the sound of the door being pushed open and for some reason she jumped in the bed and hid underneath the quilt, pretending to be asleep again. All of that happened in just the blink of an eye.
Edgar remained silent as he stood at the door and watched Maggie's trembling eyelashes, proudly brandishing a smirk on his face, "Last night, you were bold enough to ask me to try all kinds of positions. And now you're going to pretend to be asleep? Really?" Edgar knew exactly how to deal with Maggie's shyness. Maggie didn't like to be provoked. The talent was proportional to the courage. Deep down, underneath all the layers of delicateness was a strong and brave woman. Although she was shy, she was bold enough to try anything that piqued her curiosity.
Maggie had watched an X-rated film before which made her curious as to how people could practice such wondrous sexual positions. As soon as she got over the initial pain of experiencing intercourse for the first time, she was surprised to find herself trying out different things with Edgar.
Edgar's words forced Maggie to open her eyes, all of a sudden. She would be lying if she denied feeling shy but she wasn't going to let Edgar get away with embarrassing her like that. "Uncle Three..." She paused for dramatic effect. "But who looked happier in the end?" "..." Edgar swallowed, coming to the conclusion that Maggie had a sharp tongue that wouldn't hesitate to retaliate if provoked. It would do him best to not mess with her silver tongue again. "Get up and freshen up. I have made brunch." He feigned a calm disposition as he turned around and walked out of the room.
Edgar's lips curved into a smile as his eyes caught sight of the hickeys all over Maggie's body.
While Maggie was in the shower, Edgar cooked a pot of his specialty: egg noodles. However, this was no ordinary egg noodles. The Gu family's unique egg noodles recipe was considered a delicacy amongst the people.
"If you retire from the army in the future, you can work for Mamie. Perhaps with you, her business will be prosperous and she will have many chain shops." Maggie slurped the noodles from her chopsticks. Edgar laughed out of amusement and took a piece of tissue to wipe her cheeks.
Maggie continued eating happily. How could a person be so happy? This was all too good to be true for Maggie.
Suddenly, Maggie got excited. She didn't notice the tea table until now, when she glanced at it by accident. With eyes wide open, she looked at Edgar with puzzlement. "When did you get that?"
"I picked it up at the flower shop when I went out to get the groceries." Edgar responded casually.
Maggie was so moved by his gesture that she got up to have a closer look at the vase. There wasn't anything extraordinary about it, but the fact that Edgar had bought it for her made it more special.
Maggie was a simple girl who just wanted a man who could easily express his feelings towards her. Needless to say, she wouldn't mind being in the receiving end of romantic gestures. The vase didn't matter to her as much as his thoughtfulness did.
Maggie held the vase with both hands and looked at Edgar, saying, "Edgar, if you don't have any intentions of spoiling me for the rest of your life, don't be so nice to me. Otherwise, if I get used to being treated so nicely, you might have a hard time keeping up with yourself.". 0000000
