Love Began with the First Meeting
Chapter 1310 Extra Story 65 Of Edgar Love And Happiness

Monica and Benjamin stood at a distance, watching the shocking scene. They looked at each other in surprise and couldn't believe what was happening.

"Oh, my God! Are my eyes deceiving me or is Maggie kissing that man in front of everybody? I can't believe it! She's so brave," Monica said, opening her eyes wide with joy. "That's right. You saw what you saw. I'm curious about this man. Who is he?" Benjamin asked, smiling.

Monica shook her head and replied, "Ah, I don't know for sure, but maybe he is the Mr. Right in Maggie's heart." She wanted to look closer, so she stood on tiptoe, craning her neck. But she still couldn't see Edgar's face because of the distance. "Ah, it's too far. He is tall. That's all I know. Is he from the S Army?" Monica asked, intrigued.

"Oh, I think we both know the answer to that question! Maggie has not been herself after she interned with the S Army. It is obvious that this man is a member of the S Army," Benjamin shrugged nonchalantly as he replied.

Maggie's bold gesture of sentimentality made her stand out in the crowd. Her kiss drew the attention of everyone passing by. Public displays of affection made people curious and drew their attention. 'Oh, my God, what a sweet couple!' the people around them thought, moved by her intimate kissing of Edgar.

Immediately, they launched into discussions about Maggie and Edgar. The chatter, bustle and noise of several people speaking at once filled the whole clearing. Outside the school gate, Maggie grabbed Edgar by his shirt, her eyes welled up with tears of delight. She kissed his lips to make sure that she wasn't just imagining things and then she pressed her face into his warm chest.

Edgar felt upset when he saw that she was crying. "I'm so sorry that I kept you waiting for so long. You've done so much for me," he said gently. Then, he tipped her chin upwards and kissed her back.

His passionate kiss made Maggie feel his love, and all of the pain and longing of the past months vanished. As their kissing finished for the moment, she rested her head on Edgar's chest and relaxed into his powerful arms. She felt a great sense of calm descend over her as she listened to his heartbeat.

Wilson looked at them and thought, 'I thought Edgar would always be afraid to confess his true feelings to Maggie. But he finally did it! It's great to see this. Maybe I will have a chance to attend their wedding party in future?" "Wow, look at this sweet couple! They are kissing each other!

That's so lovely!" people around them chorused happily, clapping their hands in delight. Seeing the happy couple and their tender affections, these people felt quite envious. In an instant, Maggie and Edgar became a sensation, drawing the attention of the whole campus. 'God, I'm in trouble. There are so many people watching us. What am I going to do? Maggie brooded in Edgar's arms.

The National Defense University was an austere place.

Students were to submit themselves to the University's strict discipline and learn how to behave in a military school. No doubt Maggie's behavior violated the discipline code. She might be given a severe punishment for instigating this chaos! Trying to stay calm, she wondered what to do.

But she burst into laughter when she looked up at Edgar's face. "Ah, it isn't that bad. You are here with me and we will be punished together. We share our joys and sorrows, right?" Maggie said, a grin slowly spreading across her face. "Really?

I don't think so. You know this is my day off and I'm wearing regular civilian clothes. I didn't violate the discipline code, so I won't be punished," Edgar said with a teasing smile, running his fingers through her hair.

Hearing his words, she punched him in the chest and said, "I've said before that you'll be the death of me, and now my words have come true!" She shook her head helplessly. She knew that Edgar had no ill will towards her. He just wasn't in touch with his romantic side. Just as Maggie thought, she was punished by the chief monitor afterward. Suffice it to say, the monitor was very angry. He criticized her and asked her to write a lengthy self-criticism.

Well, people win some while losing some. 'I met Edgar and he kissed me. That makes it all worth it, 'Maggie thought, soothing herself. But she was an excellent student and cared about her reputation. Getting punished was actually not what she had wanted. So she decided to let Edgar make it up to her.

The monitor felt very angry when he saw Maggie immersing in her own world and not really listening to him. He wanted to criticize Maggie but he was too irate to speak.

Maggie looked at the monitor and acted like an innocent lamb. "Sir, I want to ask you a question. Do you know our country's legal marriage age?" she asked in a sweet tone.

"23 for men and 22 for women," the monitor replied without thinking.

"Are there any rules that say university students can't be in relationships or get married? Especially concerning graduate students?" Maggie added.

"No, I've never even heard of any," the monitor said, baffled. He raised his head and saw Maggie winking at him. He immediately realized that Maggie's words was a bated trap for him. "I'm warning you, Maggie. You are wearing a military uniform. Do you think I should just leave you to enact your soap opera before the school gate? Let alone allow you to create such chaos on the campus," the monitor said in a serious tone.

Maggie wanted to leave here as soon as possible. She hadn't seen Edgar in a few days since he arrived at the college. There was so much that she still wanted to say to him. "Sir, please don't be angry. I will never make the same mistake again. I promise. I will ponder on my mistakes and write a thorough self-criticism. And I know what I did was wrong. Please don't circulate a notice of my criticism," Maggie said sincerely. Her attitude toward the monitor had changed completely, which made him feel a little surprised.

He thought that perhaps Maggie had realized her mistakes and would try to set them right. He nodded and told her to hand in her self-criticism on Monday. Then, he let Maggie go.

Maggie saluted him and then left the office. However, as she closed the door she made a funny face at the monitor. She walked on a few steps, taking out her phone to give Edgar a call. But no one answered the phone.

Suddenly, Maggie started to get worried. She had a bad feeling then that everything was just a part of her imagination. Maybe Edgar hadn't told her his true feelings or kissed her. All of these could have been delusions of an unwell mind!

She was frantically running down the stairs as she thought of this. She rushed to the school gate but didn't see Edgar or his car. Maggie stood by the school gate, sweating and panting. She felt helpless but didn't know what to do.

Wilson came out of the guardhouse and saw Maggie standing there. He walked up on her and asked, "Maggie, what happened? Are you okay?"

Hearing his words, Maggie turned around and saw Wilson. She looked as though she was on the verge of crying.

"Edgar had something to deal with, so he left here. He said that if you want to meet him later, he'll pick you up after your class. Then you can have dinner together," Wilson said with a smile, as though he had sensed Maggie's troubled thoughts. "He also requested a period of leave for you. You can enjoy the weekend with him off campus," he added slyly. 0000
