Chapter 1138 Extra Story 28 Of Charlie Confession

In high spirits, Elsa packed her things and readied herself to go out. However, the moment she took her bag, her phone rang. Taking out her phone, she glanced at the caller ID. 'Devil!' she thought, her eyes narrowing.

Pouting, she picked up the phone call and prepared herself to sound like she was in a rare good mood. Before Charlie could even say anything, she took a sharp breath, raised her chin like she was in front of Charlie, and announced, "Don't ask me out today. I have no time for you!" Right after saying that, she hung up the call proudly. She felt awesome.

Staring at his phone, Charlie didn't know whether he should laugh or cry. Evelyn was casually sitting on the desk with one of her legs on the chair, licking her ice cream.

Since it was so rare to see Charlie getting defeated, she quickly raised her brows and started mocking him, "Wow! Someone hung up the phone on Mr. Charlie Long!" Upon hearing this, Charlie just rolled his eyes and gave his sister a helpless look. The girl then jumped down from the desk, patted him on the back as if to console him, and said, "Hmm... Don't feel too sad, brother." She said that comfortingly, sounding like she had a lot of life experience to share. "Life would always be like that. You have to go through some hardship! So let's go, and let me take you out somewhere where there's nice food so that you could calm yourself!"

Charlie smiled back and slowly nodded. Gently caressing Evelyn's hair, he replied, "Alright... Let's go!"

"Ha-ha!" With a sly grin plastered on her face, Evelyn grabbed Charlie's arm and said, "Charlie." "Yes?"

"Do you really really like Elsa?"

"Yes!"

"Which part of her attracts you the most?"

Charlie just smiled but did not give her an answer. But silently, in his heart, he replied. 'I like her. She could stay in my heart. And no matter how much time passes, she would forever be there!'

It was dusk. The sun was setting at the horizon, casting a reddish yellow glow on them, and their shadows elongated. A lot of people fixed their eyes on them. They were curious about what the relationship between Charlie, Elsa and Evelyn was like.

Elsa sprinted to the hotel where her parents had been staying. All the guests, including good performing employees like her father, had been temporarily staying there. It was a five-star hotel under Gu's Corporations and tonight, the banquet would be held in the banquet room on the 12th floor.

With the hotel being five-star, it was truly a spectacle and a truly grandiose one. The whole of the main lobby was lavishly decorated and designed. Never had Elsa been to such a high-class hotel and she glanced around in curiosity. "Miss, may I know..."

"Right," Elsa cut the waiter in the lobby off in a hurry, "I am here to meet someone. He's on the 18th floor!"

"Okay," the waiter said, "this way please!"

Smiling sweetly, Elsa followed the waiter to the lift. In her heart, she couldn't help feeling awed. 'This is such a luxurious place! Even the waiters are so friendly!' she silently thought to herself.

When she found the room and entered, her parents had already gotten themselves ready.

Quickly, her mother pulled her to the bed and showed her the new piece of clothing that was spread on it. Mumbling, she said, "Your dad and I found this really nice dress, and we thought that we'd buy it for you." Excitedly, she lifted the dress and said, "Try it on and see if you like it!"

It was a white tutu, with a long pink lace belt around the waist. After Elsa put it on, her mom tied the lace into a huge beautiful bow.

"It's so gorgeous, Mom!" Elsa excitedly exclaimed after putting on the dress. "I love it! I truly do!" With a beautiful smile on her face, she hugged her mom and gave her a huge kiss on the cheek. Seeing her daughter so happy, Elsa's mom couldn't help but chuckle in delight.

After that, she carefully untied Elsa's pony tail, and lovingly wove it into a beautiful braid, and it nicely rested on her shoulders. As a finishing touch, she put a few tiny crystals on Elsa's hair, which gloriously twinkled whenever the light hit them. After all that was done, Elsa looked both gorgeous and adorable.

"Wow!" her father exclaimed the moment he saw her. His eyes moist with tears, he held his daughter and said, "Elsa, my daughter, you look so grown up now! You look like an adult! Your mom and I are truly growing old, huh!"

"Ha-ha!" Elsa laughed, hugging her father back as tight as she could. When they let go of each other, she looked into her father's eyes and with a smile on her beautiful face, mumbled, "You and Mom are still young!" Then, she held her parents' hands and with a chuckle, said, "If other people see us, they might believe that you two are just my brother and sister!"

The joke made her parents roar with laughter. Truly, Elsa was a sweet girl that every parent would love to have.

After recovering from laughing so hard, her father took a deep breath and said, "Let's go!" Raising his hand high and pointing to the door, he excitedly exclaimed, "C'mon! Let's have some nice food!"

"Alright, let's go!" The mother replied in an equally excited tone.

Joyfully, the three went to the banquet room located on the 12th floor.

Even though Gu's Corporations wasn't the largest company in A City, it has significantly grown in the past few years solely because of the recent interest of the people in real estate and the boom of the hotel industries the city had seen. Obviously, this anniversary banquet had been picked up by numerous notable media institutions across the city. Well, celebration didn't get attention solely because it was the company's anniversary. Rumors had it that today, the eldest daughter of Gu family would be engaged to the son of the owner of Bright Electronics.

The entire 12th floor was indeed a giant banquet room. Right now, lots of guests had already arrived, already chatting and drinking amongst each other. The ceremony would officially commence at 8 pm. There was still an hour to go, but the atmosphere of the hall was already fun. "Elsa."

Elsa was walking around then, looking around the room and taking everything in when she heard a voice call her. Baffled, she turned to look back. It was Ann-and she waving her hand at her. Quickly, she turned to her parents and said, "Mom, Dad, I'll just go over there.' "Sure!" her parents said, smiling and turning back to the people they were talking to.

Then, she started making her way towards Ann. Today, Ann was totally different from her usual "silly" self. She was wearing a pink chiffon dress which was to her knees. Around her waist, there was a thick, elegant belt, and it effectively showed her shape. It was the most elegant version of Ann that Elsa had ever seen.

"They're already serving your favorite chocolate!" she exclaimed as soon as Elsa reached her. In no time, the two girls dashed to the food section, hand in hand, and very excited.

As minutes ticked by, more and more guests arrived. The two girls were totally unconcerned with whatever that was happening, as they were just immersing themselves in eating. Contentment was written on their faces.

"Have some more." Suddenly, someone jeered coldly, "The food is prepared by one of the best chefs from France. It's indeed something you can't always have."

The two girls turned around. It was Rita Gu, the center of today's event, who was wearing a red gown. Rita and Allen belonged to the same batch in the school and both of them were quite famous in the business management faculty.
