"Sort of. The people who come here aren't all that great, so I don't like coming here to talk about business," Kimbra said.

Kimbra was right, but Jagoan had her own reasons as well.

"Don't be silly, all of the high-end clubs and hotels in Bardot are full at this hour. We'll be seen no matter where we go, but a place like this is a little more discreet," Jagoan argued.

"Don't you know the phrase, 'dark under the lamp'?" Jagoan asked.

Hearing this, Kimbra sighed.

How are woman so meticulous when doing things?

"By the way, are your father and brother doing okay?" Jagoan asked another question.

Jagoan's question seemed have a hidden meaning, but Kimbra's answer was even more elusive.

"They're doing great, at least they won't be able to go against me anymore!" Kimbra told her.

"That's good, it seems like I was right about you..."

When Jagoan first came to Qari, she first came in contact with the eldest son of the Kurt Famly, Robbins. She had thought that he would be her starting point, but it was a pity that Jagoan found out that he was extremely stubborn. Although Robbins did not have much talent, he was obedient and honest. No matter what his father, the current head of the family, Baltimore, asked him to do, Robbins never questioned it.

Someone like that was not easy for Jagoan to work with, so she chose Kimbra instead, for his radical personality.

What he just said proved that Jagoan made the right choice. Kimbra had been neglected by his family ever since he was a child, so he turned out that way to prove himself to his father and brother.

Jagoan was just using him to make changes in the Kurt Family. She came here today to test him. However, Jagoan did not expect Kimbra's character to be that extreme.

All of a sudden, Kimbra asked, "Ms. Jagoan, I heard that you had suffered a lot in Bashra, is that true?"

Jagoan did not want to answer because if there was any difference in her words, she would be admitting to it.

Kimbra was not a fool either. As soon as the news of Jagoan's defeat came out, she asked him to meet her. No matter how he looked at it, Jagoan seemed to be the one who lost.

Kimbra was also testing to see Jagoan's reaction.

Jagoan knew that it would be counterproductive for her to continue hiding, so it was better for to admit it and verify Kimbra's value.

Sure enough, Kimbra subconsciously smiled after hearing her words.

"His name is Jagoan, right? I've heard of him..."

"You know him? Have you met him?" Jagoan asked.

Kimbra shook his head and brought up an old story. "Of course, not. It was my father who saw him, not me."

Kimbra told Jagoan about the rumors he heard after getting rid of Baltimore and his brother, Robbins. He heard that his father, Baltimore, met Jagoan when he was in Somerland, and that he once asked to work with him. "You may not know my father well, but he will only ask someone to work together when he trusts them."

Jagoan nodded thoughtfully as she was still making up lies in her mind and wondering how she could use Kimbra. Little did she know that there was already bad blood between them, which would save Jagoan a lot of effort. "I see. You wouldn't just sit by and watch tomorrow's wedding, right?"
