Life at The Top -
Chapter 2157
Adele breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. "Okay, Brother, Jasper, stop chatting. The food is getting cold. Let's eat first..." Adele said and handed Jasper some food.
The crippled Brown also laughed and teased her, "Adele, I find that every time Jasper comes to our house, you can only see him and not myself."
Adele's face turned red from the teasing, and she angrily glared at the crippled Brown.
"Brother, you are just talking nonsense. I care about you the most among all the other members of our family. It really hurts me when you say that."
The crippled Brown laughed again. He knew exactly how his sister felt about Jasper.
Jasper reached an agreement with the crippled Brown while eating. Next, they would devote part of their energy to cultivating forces in the Eastern Central Region. In short, while ensuring they would make money, they had to also try their best to create some trouble for the United States. After Jasper left, the crippled Brown said to Adele, "Adele, do you remember what I said to you before?"
Adele frowned slightly and said in a displeased tone, "Brother, I know what you want to say. You just want to remind me..."
"I can get any man in Somerland except for Jasper, right?"
"Don't worry, I didn't forget that... Besides, Jasper already has a fiancée and a confidante in Harbor City. There's no place for me around him anymore."
The crippled Brown could not help laughing as he watched his sister look so irritated.
"Silly girl, you misunderstood me."
When Adele heard this, she was slightly taken aback and asked, "If you didn't mean that, then what are you saying?"
The crippled Brown said with a smile, "I didn't want to see you investing your feelings on Jasper before because he was like a dark horse that suddenly broke into the upper class of Somerland. He doesn't have any foundation or background, and everything about him was out of tune with our family.
"Besides, many of the things he does are too dangerous. I didn't want you to follow him into a trap, but now it seems I underestimated him... Jasper is far more powerful than I imagined. Only Jasper is worthy of my sister among the many people in this world." Adele thought she had misheard him. So, she looked at the crippled Brown in surprise and asked, "Brother, are you kidding me? Jasper has a fiancée and a confidante. You're not asking me to approach him so shamelessly, right?" While Adele did have feelings for Jasper, so what?
Her identity and knowledge would not allow her to express her heart to Jasper. She was proud, unlike those women written in brainless novels. Whenever they met the male protagonist, they would approach them recklessly no matter who they were.
The crippled Brown read his sister's mind and said, "You have to know that a man as good as Jasper can never have only one woman by his side... Besides, she's just a fiancée, and they're not engaged yet. Why don't you fight for yourself if that's the case?" "Brother... I..." Adele frowned and bit her lips. "I don't want to talk to you anymore. You're not making any sense!"
Adele turned around and ran back to her room.
The crippled Brown shook his head lightly as he watched his sister leave.
Now, Lord Alvarado and the little prince, as well as the Millers and Davidsons, were strengthening their bond with Jasper. Only the Browns had not had taken any actual action. If the crippled Brown could make his sister become Mrs. Laine, then the interests between him and Jasper would be bound more firmly than with anyone else!
It was a pity that his sister was too innocent and only cared about romantic relationships between men and women, so she did not have such a broad vision. However, he had time, so it did not matter.

On the other hand, Jasper had already returned to the hotel. As he was about to wash up and sleep, he received a call from Lord Alvarado.
"Jasper, I heard you have returned to Swallow Capital. Where are you now? A bar under Moses' name opened today, and everyone came to support him. Would you like to come too?"
Jasper was already a little tired. Furthermore, he drank a little while eating at the crippled Brown's house, so he was feeling a little tipsy right now. However, when he heard that Moses' bar was opening, he agreed. "Okay, give me the address. I'll head over now."
