Xavier’s POV

I walked down the cellar steps, my wolf howling with joy at the fact that we might be able to find out where Celeste is soon. I kept telling him to stop, the doubts in my mind not helping in my way whatsoever, but he never listens to me.

I get to the two cellars that hold the rogues, the experiments as one of them had called themselves, and the ones that could give me the answer to where my mate was taken, and walk into the one where the grey eyed one is. He smirks when he sees me.

“So losing a mate truly does change real werewolves. Interesting. I never believed it myself.” I rose an eyebrow at him with a scowl on my face, daring him to test me. “People, creatures really, like me don’t have mates. However, I do happen to know a lot about yours. Celestial Patara* Jacobs, daughter of Dilexi and Fernando Jacobs. Her pack was destroyed when she was six and she then became a rogue. I growled. I didn’t like anyone talking about her right now.

Zay wouldn’t let me do anything for two days, saying my wolf needed to heal. I didn’t give a s**t about healing, though, and neither did my wolf. He kept telling me to use my Alpha tones on Zay and threaten to separate her from Kaleshia if she didn’t let us get back to finding Celeste.

“She grew up into a pretty little thing from one of the pictures I was shown. When you’re done with her I wouldn’t mind taking her for a little while.” His grey eyes glowed and I growled.

“Shut up.” I turned around to see one of the guards holding up a tray full of small weapons. I smirked and grabbed a simple knife that I knew had wolves bane embedded into it.

“Turn back around Xavier!” He said with glee. I hated this little fucker. “Don’t you want to know the things I would do to her?” I tightened my grip on the knife. “I think I would want to mar her smooth, soft skin in every way I could think of. Maybe a few different types of floggings, carve some nice words into her, and perhaps even a few burn scars. Those are my favorites. Although, according to some of Malum’s plans I happened to overhear before I got stuck here he should have already accomplished that.”

I growled and spun around. I wrapped my hand tightly around his throat, but not tight enough to cut off his airway, and slammed him against the wall. He chuckled at me and I brought my fist down on his face, successfully hearing the loud c***k that I was hoping for. I let my wolf take over as he delivered punch after punch after punch to the grey eyed experiment’s face. When I finally had control again the experiment’s face was b****y, his eye was starting to swell, and his nose was broken. I smiled.

He spat on my face, a mixture of b***d and spit covering my cheek. I wiped it off, probably only smearing the b***d across my cheek.

“How about you tell me where the hell my mate is or else I am going to rip you apart, limb by limb. And for each limb I rip off I’ll make it last. I will laugh as your screams echo across the cellars. It will be very entertaining.” He chuckled.

“That’s what Malum said about his plans for Celestial.” I took the knife from where it had fallen on the floor when I was punching him. I raise it up and stab it into his left shoulder. I don’t quite want him dead yet. I chuckle as he lets out a pained scream.

“Where is my mate?” I pull out the knife and press it to his throat. “Tell me right f*****g now or you are done for.”

He chuckled, “Never.”

I let my wolf take over and he did exactly as I said I would. He ripped off the experiment’s arms first, one at a time and slowly. B***d was everywhere by the time he was finished with just those and the cellars were filled with so many of his painful screams. The guards were covering their ears, trying to block out the ear shattering screams. Next came his legs, my wolf took those off in two parts each. The first was from the knee down, the second was what was left. My wolf only smirked. Then, when my wolf felt content for the moment, he ripped the experiments head off. It rolled to the ground, his glowing grey eyes staying open.

I imagine that I was covered in b***d by now but I didn’t really care. All I cared about was the fact that he refused to tell me where my mate is.

I walked out of the cell, the guards giving me concerned looks. I ignore them and walked into the cell next to it. I walked in and cursed at the sight. The other one had taken a brick that was broken and stabbed it into his chest. And then I realized, I no longer had anyone to lead me to Celeste.

For what felt like the millionth, and not one of the first times, I lost control. I shifted and ran out of the cellar. The door wasn’t even open, he just broke it off its hinges. He ran out towards the woods only to get stopped by three wolves. One with dark brown fur, one with light brown fur, and one sticking out among the other two with her blonde fur.

I took control and growled at them.

Xavier, stop. Stop all of this, Zay snapped.

Why should I?

Because, Josh answered, this isn’t going to help you find her.

And how would you know what helps? You’re just the tracker. Pathetic. Josh backed up, a small whimper escaping him, and Jake growled loudly at me. I knew I shouldn’t have said that but I just can’t help it.

Kaleshia now, Jake commanded. My eyes widened as all three of them looked behind me. I turned to look behind me just in time to feel something hit my head. Once again, everything went black.
