Xavier’s POV

I woke up to find that I was still in my wolf form and that sparks were flying throughout my body. I looked down to see Celeste, except she had shifted back at some point in the night. Luckily, she was buried under my fur.

I silently got up, making sure to not look at Celeste’s n***d form. I walked to the tree that I put my clothes behind. I pulled on my shorts and picked up my shirt. I walked back to Celeste and I managed to put my shirt on her without looking at her in a way that she would possibly get mad at. I honestly sighed in relief when it was over.

I picked her up in my arms and she tried to move closer to me. I smiled down at her, kissing her forehead. I walked back towards the pack house, focusing on Celeste the entire time. I couldn’t even focus on the tree’s and scenery because I held the most beautiful thing in the entire universe in my arms. Not even the Moon Goddess could compare to my mate. No one could. No one had her perfect little curves. No one had her beautiful hair. No one had her perfectly shaped face. No one had her beautiful eyes. No one had even a chance of comparing to any details that my beautiful little mate had.

When I got back to the pack house the smell of bacon filled my nose. Celeste stirred in my arms. Her eyes drifted open and caught mine. The world once again disappeared around me and it was only her and I. Even the sweet scent of bacon left my senses and her scent of invaded all around me. Vanilla and berries.

“I’m hungry,” everything came back when she said that and I chuckled.

“You could have said or asked any question that you wanted but instead you think of food. I am right here and shirtless, not to mention that I am probably the hottest being on the planet.” Her cheeks went a rosy shade of red and I almost stopped walking from how beautiful she looked.

“I can walk you know,” she said quickly. I chuckle and hold her closer, wanting to be close for just a bit longer. “I’m serious Xavier; put me down. Now that my leg is healed I fully plan on using it.”

“Not going to happen little one. You are only wearing my shirt and no way am I going to let any other guy see you. Only I will ever be able to see you that way.”

She looked down to see if what I was saying was true and blushed when she saw that she was wearing only my shirt. She quickly put her hands around my neck, as if trying to hide herself. When she realizes what she just did I can see her neck turning an even darker shade of red. I chuckled.

She mumbled, “Shut up and get me food.” I chuckled once again and continued my walk to the pack house. Once we got inside I saw Zay and Kaleshia in a l*p lock against the refrigerator.

I coughed awkwardly, and they pulled apart. Kaleshia smirked, an amused look in her completely blue eyes, and Zay looked down in embarrassment but I could see her smiling.

“Are you guys done with your PDA?” Celeste glanced up at them and then blushed.

“Says you,” Zay said, looking up defiantly. “You are shirtless with your mate in your arms, who happens to be wearing your shirt. Not to mention the fact that no one had eyes on you two last night. Who knows what could have happened?” She winked in my direction. Celeste hid her face back in my chest while Kaleshia laughed.

Zay’s eyes spaced out and her smile went away. When her eyes came back into focus she looked up at me, worry clouding her eyes.

“I’m sorry I have to go. Jake ripped his stitches again.” My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

“What did he do to rip his stitches?” Celeste started drawing designs on my chest, making me distracted but I need to know what was going on to one of my two third in commands.

“Josh refused to let him get up so when he fell asleep, Jake tried to get up and walk around. He fell, and his stitches ripped open.” I smiled and nodded and she left.

Holding Celeste, who was still blushing and clinging to my neck as if she could hide herself, to my chest with one hand; I used the other to get a plate of food for her. I got her two pancakes, eggs, and a few slices of bacon. I put another plate on top of it with some food for myself and headed off.

I walked upstairs to go to my room. After I set Celeste down she blushed and grabbed the blanket, covering her legs. I chuckled and kissed her forehead(which turned her cheeks even more red), giving her, her plate of food. She smiled and dug in. I sat down and ate with her.

Finishing first, I said, “I’ll be back in a bit little one.” She ignored me, giving all of her attention to the plate of food in front of her. I frowned. Was it weird to be jealous of a plate of food?

That being said I walked down stairs to Zay’s office. When I got there I saw Jake with an irritated look on his face as Zay stitched back up one of his cuts that was on his chest. Next to Jake was Josh, a mixture of worry and frustration etched across his face.

“If you would just stay off of your feet then you wouldn’t rip your stitches and that cut could heal,” Josh said firmly.

“I’m fine. It would heal either way.” Jake grumbled but I could see the small smile on his lips.

“Actually,” Zay cut in, “no you wouldn’t. It was too wide and deep for it to heal on its own. So just stay laying down and you might actually go a few hours without the stitches ripping. So stay down.” Fear entered Jake’s eyes. Zay could scare anyone.

I chuckled and everyone looked up to me and smiled. This was my family, and now with Celeste it felt truly complete.
