Inner Woman
Haiku Part Two

shades of grey and white

turn black, boil, build top the sky

lightning hails my heart

white sheets hidden sky

cold cotton, icy drapes of

oblivion cliffs

dust, grit, grime, howling

wind undulating across beige

bare desolation

cherry blossom pink

springs from winter’s tightly coiled

hibernating buds

endless prairie fields

golden wheat, barley, hops, rye

beckon harvest’s brew

mountains overbearing

minuscule spirit, soul free

soars on eagle’s wing

the end of the week

snow threatening, wind howling

drifts with memory
