As soon as Evelyn exited the hotel, she pointed at Ingrid. “Didn’t I tell you to prepare properly? Look what you’ve done. Are you trying to show everyone how poorly you were raised?

“I’ve never seen anyone so clueless. Couldn’t you use your brain for once? Do you really think people show up without being prepared? You’re so hopeless.”

Ingrid pursed her lips aggrievedly and tried to explain. But the moment she stepped forward, Evelyn quickly distanced herself as if Ingrid were contagious

“Stay away from me,” Evelyn warned. “I’m allergic to stupidity. Don’t show your face around me for the next few days. Otherwise, I might get sick. It’s a pity my unborn grandchild has a mother like you.”

She glared at Ingrid and said without sympathy, “With your background, you think you can marry into our family? Don’t even think about it.”

On the other side, Natalie’s ride pulled up. Seeing that Susan was also leaving, she asked, “Susan, do you want a ride?”
