Chapter 8

Bella's P.O.V

I was carefully reading through the notes that Lily had taken for me yesterday when Asher had demanded I take care of work for him making it so that I was unable at attend class.I also came to know that due to the absence of the teacher that our next class had been canceled, so that was two classes I missed because of him.

I ran my hands through my hair trying not to lose my mind, as he had caused me to miss all my classes after lunch. Having started at the school half a year behind in the material and already missing consecutive days of classes I was feeling like my studies for each of those class and my life were slipping further out of my hands. Thankfully Lily gave me the notes she had taken when it was time to leave, but after getting home I was so tired from work that I couldn't find the energy to copy them and just went to sleep. It was now a new day. I was having to quickly but carefully read through Lily's notes because she had just informed me that the teacher of that class always asked questions about what he had taught the previous day. Lily also told me that this teacher was really bizarre as he doesn't punish someone when they can't answer the questions correctly, he insults them instead.

He is so insulting that people have actually got up and walked out of class to receive their punishment rather than be insulted in front of everyone. To compound insult to injury, after the teacher was done insulting the student they were then sent straight to the principal's office to be sentenced to more punishment.

As soon as I heard the principal's office my body became covered in a cold sweat, I had zero desire to be sent there again as I knew exactly what would happen. As soon as the principal laid eyes on me he would have called Asher, leaving me alone with him again and I didnt wish to see him after what happened in the lab yesterday.

I was still deeply regretting the fact that I had closed my eyes, proving myself to be an utter fool. The class teacher still had a full five minutes to arrive as the rest of the students entered the classroom.

That was when I happened to glance up, noticing that Suzy was coming in with her friends. She was swaying her hips from one side to the other, moving her a*s towards the other werewolf and human boys. The one thing I had observed was that all the werewolves from the other packs never missed a single second of staring at her a*s.

She was wearing the kind of clothes that are too short and tight on her body, leaving nothing to the imagination. She gave me a dirty smirk before taking her seat, making me want to tear the notes up that were in my hand after seeing her smug attitude.

"Do you know what? I had a great time with Asher in the lab yesterday, he was so rough when he got lost in his desire." Suzy purred, intentionally raising her voice so that every single person in the classroom could clearly hear her. She looked back at me with a cheshire grin, proving to me that she had said this to goad me, and marking her territory. If she only knew that I had no aspirations to be anywhere near Asher, if it was up to me I would never see him again. But it wasn't.

"I hate her." My wolf Lina grumbled, mind-linking me. She has been extremely disgruntled ever since she heard Suzy in the lab saying that Asher was her boyfriend.

"What about you? Do you hate her?" Lina asked me, I shifted my gaze away from Suzy, concentrating on the book in front of me.

"I hate them both." I replied, mind-linking her back.

"Are you talking about Asher?" Lina prodded me.

"Yes, I hate him." I quickly replied to her.

"No, you can't, he's our mate. I love him." Lina argued with me. She was already on edge because of the events yesterday in the lab with Suzy, now after what she had announced to the entire class Lina was going crazy shouting in my mind. I didn't particularly have time for her Asher drama, so I cut the mind-link between us in order to focus back on my book.

Suzy's presence and her bitchy attitude had irritated the hell out of my wolf and I. Even though I am a lone wolf I have always been very angry, ever since I was a child. I worked hard to control my aggression so that I could live amongst the humans, but since I had come to know about Suzy and Asher's relationship my emotions in particular, fury, was getting out of control again.

My wolf Lina was in no way a help in this, that was why I tried to ignore Suzy as much as possible, so that I could avoid getting into any more trouble. The teacher entered the room after five minutes and his gaze went straight to Lily and I,staring at us intently. "Why is he staring at us both like that?" I whispered to Lily.

"I don't know." She replied,and my hand went straight to my ID card, to make sure that it was clearly visible. I hadn't broken any rules today, but the teacher was still staring at the both of us as if we had committed some crime.

"Lily and Bella, both of you have been called down to the administrator's office." The teacher said, making Lily and I look at each other in surprise. It was not common to be summoned by an administrator, but the teacher ordered both of us to go there immediately. We left the classroom and began to make our way there, but both of us were jittery with nerves as to what this could possibly be about.

"I am getting really nervous, I don't even know what the both of us could have done to be called down there. This school is crazy about rules and discipline, I feel like I am going to die right now." Lily agonised, as we were coming up to the office and I saw that her hands were trembling, just like mine were.

"Don't worry, don't let negative thinking dominate you and let's just see what happens." I tried to reassure her while grabbing her trembling hands with my cold ones. Upon reaching the office Lily and I both took deep breaths before knocking then entering the office, to find that there were two others in there. One was the principal while I assumed that the other was the administrator due to the fact that I had never seen him before. They both had donned serious faces and were holding paperwork in their hands. "Sit there." The administrator instructed, pointing to the two empty chairs in front of his desk, we did as we were told, sitting down.

"Which one of you is Lily?" The administrator asked, looking at the both of us.

"I am, sir." Lily replied, hiding her nervousness just like I had advised her to before stepping in the room. Lily's P.O.V

The administrator had some paperwork in his hand that he was carefully reading. I had taken Bella's advice and not letting my nervousness show, but deep down I was petrified. He wasn't saying anything and I don't know what was written on that paperwork, but it has to be the reason why I had been called here.

"I have received a complaint against you from the school's seniors. Due to the school's policy's your scholarship has been cancelled from now starting at this moment." The administrator stated. I felt as if the ground had just been ripped out from beneath me. Why? Why had my scholarship been cancelled?

"Wh....What?" I stuttered out. I felt Bella's hand instantly grab a hold of mine under the table, as she tried to calm me down.

"But.....why has my scholarship been cancelled? What kind of complaint are you talking about?" I asked him. He placed the same piece of paper that he had been reading in front of me. With a trembling hand I picked up the paper and started to read it, while Bella read it from her seat next to me.

This letter was written by the twelfth commerce class, i.e our seniors. This paper had the signatures of everyone who had heard the word Alpha come out of my mouth that day, there were ten in total and all of them had put their names and signatures there. All of these people had complained about me, writing to the administrator saying that my scholarship should be cancelled. But I could still not see a single reason for this complaint. I looked at the bottom of the letter to find that it had been signed and the seal of the school was there, so that my scholarship had been completely cancelled.

I gripped Bella's hand even tighter in panic and to stop myself from crying. After this seal and signature the scholarship was completely gone, there was no way for me to get it back.That meant that I would either have to pay the school fees in full now or leave the school.

"But sir, what is the reason for all this? What have I done that would cause my scholarship to be cancelled?" I pleaded, needing to know the reason for all of this, taking a deep breath.

"According to your fellow students you don't have any manners when talking to others. You don't give respect to your seniors and the biggest issue is that because of you violence is being promoted in this school. To date no student has used violence on any other student, but because of you girls it has spread throughout the school.

This matter can no longer be ignored because the seniors themselves have written this letter to the administration and if a scholarship student has a bad reputation then it will have a bad effect on the school." The administrator explained, even though all the allegations against me were false. These people had achieved their revenge against me by taking away my scholarship in the goal to get me expelled from the school. Bella's P.O.V

Not only was I surprised by this letter, I was furious and filled with loathing for all of the people who had done this to Lily. I had read the names on that letter and I was able to recognise their faces, they were all members of Asher's pack. These were the same people who always looked at me with fury and venom because I slapped their Alpha in front of the whole school. All of these people live to obey Leo, who in turn only lives to obey Asher.

The pack members have done this deliberately to exact revenge on Lily. At the same time the administrator had also said that Lily had promoted violence. According to him when I slapped Asher it was because of Lily, she had been blamed for this and now her scholarship had been taken away.

I understood what was going on in Lily's mind without her having to say a word. I knew that she was completely broken on the inside, but the tears didn't fall from her eyes. Neither Lily or I had failed to notice that Leo and Asher's signatures were not there, it was only the signatures of his pack members who attended the school.

"Bella...." The administrator said, drawing my attention to him. The administrator looked at the principal who had some more paperwork in his hand and I knew that it was meant for me.

"We have also received a complaint against you." The principal states, handing the paperwork over to the administrator. When the principal was handing the paperwork over he was looking me straight in the eyes, as if he was trying to either say or tell me something and it soon became clear that the principal's post wasn't higher than the administrators.

"It is another complaint that has been made by the seniors in the school, they are the same boys and girls who complained about Lily." The principal informed me.

"What is their complaint against me?" I asked, not knowing what mistake I had made.

"The complaint is regarding school violence. They said that you slapped Asher in front of the whole school." The principal stated, my mouth went completely dry. This was a big matter, I had thought that it had already been dealt with when it went to the principal, but it was obvious that the seniors were not going to let it go.

"Do you even know who he is? He is the son of a trustee of this school, not only him but the father of Leo is also a trustee of this school." The administrator revealed, I couldn't believe my ears. Lily was looking equally shocked as I was at the moment. This meant that I had slapped the son of a trustee. I was still holding Lily's hand, I could physically feel her trembling even more now. Maybe it was due to the mention of Leo, she had told me that he didn't like her and this whole mess was created by friends of Leo who had made the complaints against us.

"I have come to know that the principal handled the situation at that time." The administrator stated, looking at the principal.

"Yes, you are right, I handled this matter between them." The principal replied, I felt like he was trying to calm the situation down, like he didn't want it to go any further.

"Yes, you were right to, but I can see that this matter is not going to go away because the students have complained against these two girls to the administration. Now this matter has grown out of proportion and the administration has decided to deal with these two girls." The administrator informed, giving Lily and I a serious look.

"Both of your punishments have been decided, by tomorrow morning you will have to deposit the fees in the school. Bella, you have to call your parents to meet me here by tomorrow morning because after this complaint I cannot let you stay in the school. Anyway you are a transfer student and I would like to talk to your parents about this." The administrator said, dropping a live bomb on mine and Lily's head which was ready to explode by tomorrow morning.

"But sir, if my financial condition was good enough that I could pay my fees then I wouldn't need the scholarship. I cannot deposit the money by tomorrow morning, I can even deposit it in the next six or seven months." Lily pleaded, trying to reason with him. "My parents are no longer in this world, I have already told the school this. They are dead and I cannot bring them to you." I answered coldly.

"Both of you should have thought about that when you broke the rules of this school. Your financial condition is deteriorating and your parents not being in your life is a very pathetic situation. However, if I let both of you go on these conditions then this matter will only escalate even more. If both of you don't follow my orders by tomorrow morning then both of you will be expelled from this school. This meeting is over, both of you may go." The administrator stated and began to carry on with his work. It was obvious that he wasn't going to listen to either of us so we both left the office.

"What are we going to do? I can't pay the school fees by tomorrow morning, nor can I tell anyone in my house about this." Lily groaned. Even though I don't know why she couldn't tell anyone at home, I knew that this was a serious matter for her.

"I don't know, this school is completely insane and unfair. How the hell am I meant to bring my parents here for a meeting when they are dead?" I grumbled, thinking about how cruel they were being to us. Our situations were different and we were going to go mad trying to think of how to fix them, but at least she could find a way. What was I meant to do, bring my parents dead bodies here? How cruel and heartless were they? I looked up to see that the principal was coming out of the administrators office and he was heading straight for us.

"You two, come with me to my office right now." The principal barked, going to his office. We both got scared after hearing his order, especially after everything that had just happened in the administrator's office, but we followed him into his office. "I hope you both know that you are in big trouble. The school is demanding things from both of you that neither of you have." The principal said, we both nodded.

"I know that I made a mistake, but I didn't deliberately slap Asher, he just suddenly appeared behind me. I knew I was wrong and I am receiving my punishment from Asher, he has made me his slave, but why are all these people bothering Lily and I?" I questioned, the principal turned angrily to face both of us.

"You should know about this, you raised your hand to an Alpha. They are all honestly possessive, respectful and mad about their Alpha. You and Lily made a huge mistake by quarreling with the biggest pack in this city. This is just the beginning and these people will not stop until you have both been expelled from this school. The real problems will start after you leave here because as soon as you have both been expelled, the same people will attack you both." The principal explained, now I was regretting asking such a stupid question.

I looked over at Lily because the principal had carelessly used the words Alpha and pack in front of her, but she looked like she already knew about this. The principal must have seen my reaction because he continued to talk.

"I came to know from pack members that she knows about us, they saw Beta Leo and Lily talking about the Alpha." The principal clarified, answering my question.

"Do you know about the Alpha?" I asked her, and she glanced at me.

"I don't know exactly what you are talking about, but Leo told me that you slapped his Alpha and I am the one responsible for it. I repeated the word Alpha and all the seniors heard me saying that word, they were all looking angry and at the time I didn't understand why, but I knew that I was in danger. Now I have come to know what kind of danger it was because they have snatched my scholarship away from me." Lily sadly disclosed, I was just as sad as she was. How was I going to bring my mom here tomorrow? "I have a solution." The principal offered, breaking me out of my thoughts and snapping my attention to him.

"What solution?" I asked as he looked at both of us.

"You can both save yourself from this matter if you do what I ask. After this you wont need to call your parents or pay your fees." The principal replied, we were both shocked when we heard his suggestion.

"You need to do it or you will lose everything." The principal noted.

"But why are you helping us? I have slapped your Alpha." I reminded him cautiously. He got up from his chair.

"Because you are our future Luna." The principal said, bowing his head to me. To say I was shocked was an understatement, you probably could have knocked me over with a feather. The man had called me his Luna, but how had he known? "How did you know?" I asked, he just smiled at me.

"Did you seriously think that you could hide it from me? I have been watching Asher since he was born, he never tolerates anyone's attitude. If you were any other girl he would have broken your hand and ripped your heart out of your chest, but he did not. He didn't even let this matter get to our packs ears, if Alpha Gabriel had come to know that you had slapped Asher then it would be an even bigger mess. But Asher hasn't let anyone else know, now with the intervention of the other student pack members this matter has gotten out of control. You have to do what I have asked or you will be in even more trouble." The principal explained and I nodded.

"Okay, but don't call me Luna. I am not your Luna and don't bow in front of me either." I admonished, for the first time I saw him genuinely smiling at me.

"I have no desire to die at Asher's hands." The principal replied, I had no idea what he was talking about. What did he mean?
