The implication of his words was too obvious, so Abigail played dumb, “Cornelia, President Hartley should care more about his employees. He’s married but doesn’t care whether his employees are”

Cornelia, ‘Which company meddles in their employees‘ love lives? Did your boyfriend leave?”

Abigail, “He has work to do. He’s already back in Riverton.”

Dylan, “Abigail, are things going well between you and your boyfriend?”

Abigail, “We’ve met each other’s parents and they’re all happy. We’re planning on getting married this year.”

Dylan, “You’re still young, there’s no need to rush into marriage.”

Cornelia suddenly chimed in, “Are you trying to steal Abby away?”

“I am, actually. But I need Abby to give me a chance,” Dylan, looking at Abigail with determination in his eyes. “Abigail, I’m thirty this year, the head of the Hartley Group Rosenberg branch, and I earn a hefty salary I’m an orphan, so if you marry me, you won’t have to worry about complex family relations.
