Colbert leaned over, kissed Eudora's lips, then took her cold hand to warm it and walked outside.

Then he saw Eudora move aside, signaling him to sleep with her.

Colbert thought that Eudora was just in a bad mood and needed his company, so he took off his coat, lifted the quilt, and lay beside her.

He stroked the messy hair beside her cheek with his slender fingers. "Tell me, what makes you so unhappy?"

"Nothing."

Eudora smiled, hugged Colbert, and kissed him voluntarily.
