Chapter 808 Played Chess

"Colbert, what are you doing there? Pour a glass of water for Eudora."

As playing chess required a quiet environment, Belinda sent out the servants, leaving only the three of them.

Colbert was sitting on the side and holding the phone in both hands, keeping replying to messages, but he would glance at Eudora from time to time.

"She can do it herself."

Colbert raised his eyebrows and said indifferently.

"Hey, are you not listening to me anymore because I'm old?" While speaking, Belinda moved her Rook and shouted, "Checkmate!"

"Wow. Grandma, you're amazing."

Eudora gave Belinda a thumbs up. "Let's play Poker next time. I'm not good at chess."

"I don't want to play anymore. You always let me win. That's boring."

Belinda was smart and noticed Eudora always went easy on her when playing chess. She hooked her fingers toward Colbert and said, "Come here and play chess with Eudora. I want to see her real strength."

Being called again, Colbert was startled. His eyes fell on the chessboard, which made him a little interested.

He had known Eudora for a long time and knew she could play chess, but he never knew how good she was at it.

"Sure."

Colbert responded with a bit of reluctance on his stern face.

When Belinda stood up, Colbert brought her a chair on the side, and he sat opposite Eudora.

They silently put back their chess pieces. Eudora chose white pieces, and Colbert had black pieces.

"I'm first." Eudora looked at Colbert, who was sitting across from her. Both of them were sitting cross-legged in front of the chessboard, which made her enjoy this quiet moment. "Yes, please," he said.

Eudora didn't think too much and moved her pawn to one square ahead.

Colbert also moved his pawn.

They buried themselves in the chess, and neither of them spoke.

Belinda yawned on the side after sitting for a while and said, "Alas. I'm getting old. You two go ahead. I'm going to rest for a while."

"Okay, Grandma." Eudora smiled and nodded.

Colbert didn't speak and continued to play chess.

Belinda got up and went into the bedroom. Eudora continued to focus on chess, and Colbert said at this time, "Excessive display will only expose the shortcomings." His words seemed to be warning Eudora.

"Capture!" She moved one of her pawns to capture his pawn and said, "Do you always look at things in a one-sided way? What about I'm trying to hide my stable side?" "You almost ruined your fame. How can you say you're stable?" Colbert retorted.

Eudora's face suddenly darkened. "You also said it's almost!"
